View CommentsREADY, SET… Sonic Board Games!?

    April 1st, 2018 by
Look it’s even got a little SEGA copyright in the corner, it’s real!

How did we miss this?  As of March 2, Sonic the Hedgehog Battle Racers, by Shinobi 7, has a finished and funded campaign on Kickstarter.

The game is described, as quoted from the official site: https://www.shinobi7.com/sonic-the-hedgehog-battle-racer.html

Burst into action with Sonic the Hedgehog: Battle Racers! Select your racer, choose your route, and fight your way to the finish while avoiding opposing racers and a variety of dangerous obstacles. Control your speed, use your abilities, and activate your special powers to collect as many rings as you can in an amazing race.

Based on Sonic the Hedgehog, the world-wide phenomenon, Sonic the Hedgehog: Battle Racers allows you to take on the role of Sonic or one of his many friends and rivals in a strategic race through a variety of exciting locations. The course changes with every race, so no two games are alike!

Basically, from what I understand, is it’s a race to the finish board game for 2-5 players (Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Amy, and ….Eggman?!)

And from what I’ve seen, the figures look pretty cool!

They also have different game modes, bosses and other playable characters ranging from Shadow and Rogue, to Cream and Jet, as well as badniks for enemies.

According to the official KickStarter Page, there’s going to be a system for Late Backers implemented soon through the Indiegogo InDemand Post Campaign System.

Mega Man has a board game, why not Sonic?  Personally, as someone who loves board games, specifically those based on properties I’m a fan of, I’m pretty interested in this project, but what about you?  Do you think this is the right fit for a Sonic game?

Looks like Sonic X ain’t as dead as people thought.  Diskotek Media announced that they have achieved the rights to the Sonic X Anime.  Expect to see DVDs soon.

Now it appears that only a English Dub is planned for release.  The 4Kids dub.  However Diskotek Media does do it’s own translation so there is a chance for a new dub and possibly a sub depending on how well the dub sells.

Keep your eyes open and hope for the best.

    Surprise!

Sea3on returns back to full swing with a new pencils and ink artist.

    Paul had this to say:

First off after harassing Stephen long enough he is with us once more.  If we kill him…I’ll just blame you lot.   Secondly he isn’t our only artist here.  In fact you might notice that the penciling and inking is a tad different.  That is because of the new artist Tim who will be doing the penciling and inking.  Stephen will stick around with us colouring.   This frees up Stephen more then he was before, while also letting him work with another high quality artist.  Plus the both of them work well together so it is a win win all around.

On another note if you have kids…Tim is  published children s book author.  Check out his stuff here: http://peppirooni.weebly.com/

    See you next week,

    Paul.

But what are you reading this for when you could be reading the new page?

GO!  FOR THE GOOD OF THE CITY  FUS!

Anyone notice this link on the Sea3on Page?

    No?  Really?

Well honestly that’s a “my bad” on our part.  See it was never really announced (save for a quick topic on the forums).

    But I digress….

Wanna read Sea3on when you can’t get online?  Maybe you wanna take it on the go when you have no internet.  Or maybe you just would like the feel of actual paper in you hands when you’re reading something.

Well that’s where that Sea3on Download link comes in.  Just click on it and it should take you to this page:

Here you can download all the completed issues, shorts, and specials in either PDF or CBR form.  What’s CBR?  Check this link here: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fileextensions/f/cbrfile.htm

(Basically it’s a digital Comic Book.  The link also tells you how to open/view it.)

Anyways the point is you can now download the back issues of Sea3on (well….at least now we told you that you could……).  Enjoy.

It’s sorta like the Oscars….only not really.

Apparently FUS had a FUS Awards awhile back but they died off.  However between the combined efforts of Chief and TheRedAuthar (Mostly Chief asking Red) the FUS Awards have been Brought back to life.

Basically it’s like an Award Show, where the FUS Community will get to vote on who or what gets that Category’s award.  Sometimes the FUS Community Can even vote for Nominees in the Category first!  *GASP*

All over dramatic weirdness to the side, The FUS Awards is just another fun thing for the FUS Community to do.  We’ll have Categories ranging from “Who is the Best Sea3on Artist” to “Worst Power Up in Sonic Games”.  And for the awards…well….

You get Bragging Rights if you win.

Check out this Link to see the rules and stuffs: http://sonicsatam.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4320&hl=

Also you don’t have to be a member of the Forum to vote in some of the Categories (though some will be Forum Related so…..)!  You just have to check out the Categories in when the pop up on the Forums and Email your votes to TheFUSAwards@gmail.com

The results will eventually pop up based on the deadline, and you can find out if your favorite (or in some categories, least favorite) won!

Forum Members can also email or PM ideas for Categories (technically non members can send ideas too, but Forum members may get to be the judge or…announcer or whatever in their own Category.)

The more you participate, the more Awards and Categories can be made!  So join in the Fun!

Keep Checking this link for Categories (some to be up later today!) : http://sonicsatam.com/forums/index.php?showforum=100

    Good luck!
