…Man this page was bad.

Project Retroactive is a go! I’m going back to the pages I did for chapter 5 and making much needed improvements. I was learning on the go for chapter 5, adapting my style for the comic. Now I get a chance to apply everything I’ve learned to the end of chapter 6 and hopefully pump out art worthy of the pages Steven did before.

…Those backwards faces still haunt me. They must go. D:

Now for a word from Chief about Chapter 7 and the future of Sea3on.

Well….Its been a while since Ive posted.   A long while…  Anyways,

So I kinda said before I was hoping to get Chapter 7 going by December…The New Years at most.  Yeah well that was till the Canadian dollar took a nose dive.

Although I dont pay these artists what they were paid before (When FUS had 2 owners going for it) and All I give Erik now is a awesome thumbs up and praise him like he should be praised(seriously, praise the man!)  I’m even poorer then before.  Being the only Canadian on staff and paying out in American has…Well.  Become a sucking point.  Because that means I now fork out basically 35% extra for every dollar I spend.  Including on the server to keep FUS running.   Which was never really a issue when we were on par or hovering around the 90 cent park.  No big deal.   Being under 70 cents just hurt and makes things…Not economically well for me or for FUS.  Cause…Paying in American just keeps getting more expencive every month.
Now eventually the dollar will (should) rebound as it always has before.  However the issue is right now.  Currently I get normally 1 to 2 donations of 10 bucks or so USD a month.  Between 5 and 10.  1 current guy donates every month and I love him for it.  Pays for part of FUS to stay up.  And cause his 5 to 10 dollars American makes me feel like a millionaire its awesome!

Anyways onto the sad point.. Besides the current revamp of Ch5.  S3 will be on a hiatus.   This time not because of lack of artists.. Or willingso of said artists.  Both of mentioned going into debt for me and me just repaying.  (which again is a small amount over all) but I’m not one to do that.
Even if I got a few more donations then norm I could still front the cost.  Just enough to take out the difference between American vs Canadian dollars.  But I cant stand asking for donations or doing donation drives.  What I do…What we do is for those who love the community and for the comic.  Having you guys around is amazing and your kind words are awesome.

Okay so…to sum it up we are on hiatus for ch7 till I can recover the cost or the dollar rises back to normal.    BUT…  Tim is revamping Ch5 so you will still get updates.

Thanks for all your support,

Cheers.

Paul

Their mouths are attached to their faces now 🙂

Looks like Romero came out almost completely unscathed.

Oh noes, I won’t be able to see Tails rise up and be a hero with his mechanical prowess that allows him to build an attack chopper and annihilate way more Swat bots than Sonic for quite some time from what I’m hearing. D:

(Yeah cuz, plane in the newer Sonics being the Tornado and then a freakin starship super cruiser in the newer newer Sonics being the Blue Typhoon, so an attack heli in the older ones makes sense… kinda. 😛 -call it the Twister-)

It’s wouldn’t really be a “donation” on our part if it’s to keep something we like going. There’s nothing unusual about that.

I admit, I’m biased, as Eric’s my good friend, and I’m mostly motivated (perhaps irrationally) here by feeling that this is unfair to him to keep having his story interrupted, but still, it seems common, especially now, for projects to ask for support from their fans. I know being a fan comic may complicate things, but I still don’t think it’s unreasonable to ask for support.

I know this is probably a long shot, but have you thought about Patreon?

Juste a mistake : “Bande de cannards”. Either you meant “canards” (ducks) so only one N, or “connards” but that’s a swear word.

Paul, I have been a newbie to the SonicSatam series this past year, and I am impressed with what you and everyone else on FUS have done with the creation of a 3rd season. Asking donations for a fan project may seem burdensome, but it seems to be the only way for many of these projects to stay alive in the long run. Paying the artists is definately the first order of business, so I was wondering if you could just let the community know how much is needed to pay off the debt. After the artists, how much does it cost to keep this website? I am sorry if I am nosing in fus business (especially since I am not a member), but to be honest, I would love to help in anyway to see this series get completed. The only way for projects like this to be completed is for people to give their time, effort, and money to accomplish it to happen. Please reply back or, if it is personal, feel free to just email me instead at wreck-itindy@gmx.com. I know I am a strange face, but hey: if nothing is done about it, the comic will no longer be juicing.
