@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Topics I've Started

Fanfiction: Antoine's Adventure

01 July 2013 - 06:29 AM

Hi everyone!

I've started writing a fanfiction - it's about 10 chapters long at the moment and I've uploaded 3 of them - and thought I'd post a link to it here. Rated T for complex (as opposed to adult) themes.

http://www.fanfictio...ine's Adventure

Based on Season 1. Antoine has been in love with Sally for some time but the affection is never reciprocated. One night he takes a deadly risk to win her, only to be rescued by his rival Sonic. In the wake of this narrowly-avoided disaster Antoine seeks therapeutic help. This story follows his discoveries and healing with a counsellor. Psychological adventure.

3 Proof-Readers, Please?

11 June 2013 - 11:00 AM

Hi everyone.

First of all, I want to apologise because I feel like I don't contribute here any more. I occasionally come over, look at the topics, almost invariably realise there isn't anything productive I can say because it's about legal Sonic stuff or ongoing comics or gaming, and then I leave, rinse and repeat. I sort of feel like I sponge off this place, but that really isn't my intention.

Right okay. I've got that off my chest and welcome any responses to it. The other thing I came for was for exactly what my title says: I'd like three proof-readers. I'll be posting this same thread at SMS, so I'll take a total of three between the two forums. Assuming enough people are interested, of course.

The story I'd like you to proof-read is experimental. For anyone who has read Counselling For Toads, it's based on the same idea. It takes place over Season 1 of Sonic SatAM, telling bits of the story you're all familar with, but from a psycholotical perspective. However, the main focus is that Antoine goes for counselling.

I haven't finished it yet but I've got to a stage where I'd like feedback on the first half of the story. I'd like to hear some peoples' feedback so that I know whether it's interesting or not, whether the ideas in it are confusing or clear, whether the characterisation fits well enough, whether the pacing is too fast, too slow or just right... that kind of thing.

Would anyone be interested?

Full-Size Display Of Big Images?

02 March 2013 - 01:09 PM

I wonder if anyone here would be able to help me?

I need to be able to upload large-size images (largest one I've got at the moment is 4,000 x 2,000 pixels but there'll be bigger ones) somewhere where they'll show up at full size. Trouble is, at least for now, I also need to be able to upload these for free.

I've already done a search for places that will do this. The best candidate I've found so far is Tumblr but even that's not bringing up the larger image as big as it really is.

...any ideas?

Thanks in advance to everyone who has a suggestion.

Sonic And The Deliberate Mary Sue 1

05 February 2013 - 01:22 PM

It's back!

For those of you who haven't read it, here's the story, reworked!

Story: The FFs are aged 12/13. Sally isn't sure where she really belongs in the group, but when a Mary Sue turns up out of nowhere, she finds that she's challenged even more. Or to read it another way, a Mary Sue bamfs into the Sonic SatAM world and finds that she just can't be pampered there the way she was back at home.

I've rewritten the first one and am posting it up one chapter per week. Two chapters are already up on Fanfiction.net but I won't upload chapter 3 onwards for another fortnight until the other places I'm uploading it (also one chapter per week) have caught up.

So I suppose this is the best place to put in a warning, which seemed the ideal thing to do over on SMS but I feel like I'm warning a crab that it's going to be poked by some fingers to you guys. There'll be a couple of swear-words, or more mild-to-moderate insults than swears, and the Mary Sue in question's a bit tarty, so if you're fazed by, 'look at my lovely boobs, look at my lovely bottom' then you might want to give it a miss. Overall I'd call the story PG-13.

What Should I Call Myself?

07 November 2012 - 04:06 AM

Soon I'd like to start up selling art commissions, mostly to the furry community if I can help it. Only, because my sign-in names on each furry site I'm at says I'm a writer (screen name is Palantean Writer) I think people will get confused and that might affect sales. Therefore I'm thinking of setting up a second account wherever I can with a less-confusing name.

I'm not sure what to call myself. What does everyone think of these names? Which one do you lot think I should go for?
