As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.
Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.
No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!
Wasn't sure if I should post this in the creative corner or in the general discussion but this one won out because it gets much more traffic. In her own words:
"A friend of mine itsatrap is in desperate need of money right now and is opening up for $2/$5 quick bust commissions.
In addition, I will also be helping to take on some refined bust sketches for $15 each (8 slots) and 4 full body sketches for $35 each (4 slots) for her benefit.
Kind of old news, but figured John Roberts and any other fans of the series might have wanted a place to post their thoughts on this.
QUOTE (Joss Whedon)
Kristin, I'm glad you asked for my thoughts on the announcement of Buffy the cinema film. This is a sad, sad reflection on our times, when people must feed off the carcasses of beloved stories from their youths--just because they can't think of an original idea of their own, like I did with my Avengers idea that I made up myself.
Obviously I have strong, mixed emotions about something like this. My first reaction upon hearing who was writing it was, "Whit Stillman AND Wes Anderson? This is gonna be the most sardonically adorable movie EVER." Apparently I was misinformed. Then I thought, "I'll make a mint! This is worth more than all my Toy Story residuals combined!" Apparently I am seldom informed of anything. And possibly a little slow. But seriously, are vampires even popular any more?
I always hoped that Buffy would live on even after my death. But, you know, AFTER. I don't love the idea of my creation in other hands, but I'm also well aware that many more hands than mine went into making that show what it was. And there is no legal grounds for doing anything other than sighing audibly. I can't wish people who are passionate about my little myth ill. I can, however, take this time to announce that I'm making a Batman movie. Because there's a franchise that truly needs updating. So look for The Dark Knight Rises Way Earlier Than That Other One And Also More Cheaply And In Toronto, rebooting into a theater near you.
Today I came upon a very fascinating and thought provoking article/blog post/examination of the portrayal of racial features in anime. Why it is the way it is and what that signifies. And perhaps almost as important, what our interpretations of it's significance says about us. Although many of the artists on this board have probably at least idly considered these implications when experimenting with the style, I can't recommend it enough to everyone interested in these topics. It's not very long http://mark2000.com/?p=787#more-787
Agree? Disagree? Did it hit the nail on the head? Think the article writer is full of crap? Let's hear your views on this
