As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.
Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.
No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!
And my self portrait will not vanish as well...for I have yet to even watch this stuff unless my little agreement is fulfilled...and I don't think it will be.
When you do, be sure to change the soundtrack from the Japanese one to the American one. It's much better. :3 (The option's on the main menu.)
And I know I'm not saying this out of misplaced nostalgia, 'cause when I started playing the new version, I hadn't even remembered how any music from the game went aside from Sonic Boom and the first level's music.
"Sonic Boom" especially kicks the pants off of "You Can Do Anything".

I think this song is seriously almost as good as Fastest Thing Alive. Almost.
They have a retarded pony now? Geeze, im gonna go get drunk, you people make me sick.
As suggested above, the fans more or less created the character. The character was originally just an 'extra' who, through an animation error or an animator's private joke, was given derpy eyes. 4chan latched onto it and christened the character "Derpy Hooves", and the whole thing snowballed until, well, she became a full-fledged character.
So there you have it. 4chan played a role in writing the show.
In no particular order (I'm only really listing the ones I particularly know about; keep in mind my knowledge of the comic beyond #78 is quite limited): * The Slap * Mobius = Earth * Sonic using his super speed to form a water ball to throw at an enemy * Sonic jumping off a cliff in #47 or #48 and, in the next issue, throwing dirt from his shoe to form a bridge to run on to save himself * Sonic modulating his speed to form after-images to trick missiles
(Part of what makes the last three so dumb is they're one-off tricks that are never used again. Of course, if they were reused, that wouldn't make for interesting plot, but if they're never reused, you wonder why. Best not to go there in the first place.)
Slap: I think if something doesn't change it becomes stale. Sally and Sonic HAVE to have a off and on relationship otherwise it becomes boring. Also in real life, relationships tend to be bumpy not smooth. Sonic should be no different. Lastly in SatAM and early Comics, their relationship was mostly being formed. That's the part most of us remember/like. New fans get Sonic and Sally already established...so conflict and drama lets them learn to like the relationship.
And this somehow justifies characters acting completely out of character? Not to mention moronic... I don't think anybody could be on Sally's side in that argument. She called him selfish for dedicating himself to helping others. That's just fucking dumb.
Don't go directly to publishers, go through agents. That's part of their job -- to negotiate contracts. Agents don't cost money, they only charge a 15% commission, and any published author (which unfortunately doesn't include me yet) will tell you that the money they will make/save you is more than that.
Cause it's a comic for kids. Like Puffin said cartoon animals often don't wear any clothes just to show how non sexual they are. Just look at Bugs Bunny, Felix the cat, ect. The fan art is what makes them into that.
I strongly doubt Princess Sally is supposed to be inherently nonsexual. I'm not saying she's inherently sexual, either, but that that side of her is left completely to the viewer's/reader's interpretation. It should hardly be surprise, then, that some would interpreter her as a sexual being.
Anyway, my point is that such a portrayal isn't objectifying her. Objectifying her would be the implication that sex is all she's good for, an opinion that I'm sure only the tiniest minority of Sally fans hold.
