That sounds like a different situation than you described. I just want to know if the thing got lost in the mail. Shouldn't be any rummaging needed if this was already set up like you said. We're talking about what was in his will, not some promise he made to send her anything. Is she forgetting or misunderstanding, or are you misremembering?

Pat offered to send "stuff" back in 2010. I won't answer anymore for Sonique, she can answer herself at this point. She's got some login snafu with the forum holding her up. (But still, I personally promise she's not withholding as of 2013.)

Even so, no promises as to what Sonique was due. Could have just been more plastic Sonic pins for all I know. (I'm referring to trinkets she got from Hurst over the years.) It was seriously just described as "stuff" to me. As long as she was being even remotely honest with me, I don't think Sonique knew any more than that anyway. Sonique did mention Pat may have said it was a "box" of stuff.

Believe me, I want new "post-Season 2" stuff as bad as you do, and I was front line to get it at the most critical period. I'm pretty sure we're all only relying on Pat, and I don't want to give the impression she's holding back because she seriously might not have anything anyway! So basically, approach this respectfully and we should be okay.

After Ben died, Sonique was called by Pat asking if she wanted some "stuff" from Ben, which she agreed to, but this "stuff" was never sent, as far as we know. Sonique felt too guilty to bother Pat about it any further. Whether Pat never sent it or there was an error in the address it was sent to I simply do not know. But your answer will not come from Sonique since she feels emotionally unable to bother Pat about it even now. (I bugged her about this maybe a month ago or so over Skype.)

 

 

Can...can somebody ask Pat for her? Not to sound insensitive to her plight but seriously, Ben said he put it in his will that his mountain of notes should be released to the community on his death. Anyone of you pillars of the community should be able to take the reigns on this. I mean, at this point I'll hunt down her professional profile and do it myself if I have to.

 

Why do I have to be the one to bring this stuff to light? Like, I can't graps this. I've never even been a part of this community! I'm just a guy who had a lasting experience with the show and was really impressed with Ben's passion for his work and his integrity. This is Season 3 we're talking about! The holy grail that you spent over a decade pursuing! Why am I the only one who keeps bringing this up? Well, until this topic - at least now I know there's one other person out there who cares enough to follow up on it.

 

Seriously man...all I need is those notes and the new DBZ movie coming out in April and I can die happy.

 

Well, let's be sensible. I mean, I spiritually feel the same way you do. I've often thought "Just give me the contact info of Pat and I'll...", but we're still dealing with people here. I've brought it up, people I've associated with have brought it up, but we still have to adhere to some modicum of respect over the death of somebody. I'll personally say I'm really bad at PR (hence why I wouldn't do it alone), but I'm sure if we can come together as a community and sort of decide on a friendly-but-persuasive letter to get Pat to come up with whatever she's got (even if it goes to Sonique, who I can at least ask to share), it would probably be the best way to go about it. (Although I seriously doubt Sonique would be a linchpin, given her ties to this community.)

If you mean his "Nicole" story in the "movie", that totally both freaked me out AND excited me when I read it. There's something I love about it.

Hmmm.... Lots of questions and mystery and tragety all that stuff that could make for a good story in and of itself... I remember some stuff coming up on the old SatAM forums when there was an inverview with Ben on there, close to the time I first joined (I've been around longer than my profile indicates, but the origional profile got deleted during a forum move). I wish I'd had the foresight to copy stuff like that... I do recall some talk of more background being explored... But my memory's rather fuzzy on precise details. I've had a lot of migraines since then... It could well be that the information unfortunatly died with Ben...

But to keep it short, Ben never released anything significant publicly about post-Season 2, keeping hope until his death that Season 3 or a movie would be made, and only revealed minor, inconclusive hints. After his death, Sonique, one of the chosen few to receive documents beyond his public revelations, released his "movie" sketch to the public. So, basically, we don't know a lot more than what's already there. The only hope beyond that is the aforementioned "stuff" that may or may not still be in Pat's hands. I don't know what Pat has, but if she has anything, that's your hope. Otherwise, it's gone to Ben's grave.
