That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

So far it seems everyone is giving a thumbs up on what Alex and his friends are trying to do. Which in my opinion is what I was hoping for when he first made this topic, and I will have full support on this.

The reasoning behind the lawsuit is pretty sad, and quite frankly redundant. Penders sued Bioware because of some of the enemies "Swat-Bots" resembled his work. So he went and took on EA and won! Now he has full freedom to do what ever he wants with his characters. Although if you think about it. Fiona Fox is not truly his as she was in the ealy days of the comics, when Spaz was the one behind them.

Yeah but for me the old world was better, than what the comics world is now. I actually have a hard time stomaching some of the new issues, because of all the changes.




#196505 A Couple Scenes To The Script For M.o.b.i.u.s. Prequel

So like the title says this will be a leak for two scenes to the script for M.O.B.I.U.S. Prequel, a fan film that is already at roughly over two hours in film length with a total of almost five hours and will be a three part film, a trilogy if you will.

 

The two scenes that I will be posted is The Dinner, and Nicole's Past.

 

So on with the... Scenes..

 

P.S. I updated the structure, as for the dinner scene, it was the old format... So... Enjoy!

M.O.B.I.U.S Scene:

 

The Dinner

 

 

(Camera fades in behind Sally in the corner kitchen counter slicing some meat, Nicole is placed next to the sink to her left.)

 

(The camera pans in to show Sally's face and front)

 

Sally is humming a happy tune as she continues focused on the task at hand; there is a brightness in her eyes and a smile on her face.

 

(The camera backs off and focuses on Nicole turning on.)

 

NICOLE

Sally, the large portions and elaborateness of this meal is wasteful; I don't understand why you are making such a large meal for two.

 

(A face shot of Sally)

 

Sally giggles slightly.

 

SALLY

Nicole, it's for Miles' birthday; I want to make it special for him

 

(A shot of both of them)

 

NICOLE

Why is this year any different than the others, you never went this far in previous anniversaries of his birth. Also, the 25th birthday is not a special one by Mobian customs, let alone the fact that the anniversary of his birth was three days ago.

 

(The camera back to Sally as she closes her eyes and shakes her head, still focusing on the task at hand.)

 

Sally lets out a breathy sigh just before answering.

 

SALLY

He was out Nicole; he spent his birthday out on a mission and everyone for years prior he spent them in the coma; I want to make it special.

 

(The camera backs off on Sally's right side to where you can see her full body and observes a short awkward silence as she continues to work.)

 

NICOLE

Sally....

 

(Focuses back on Sally's face)

 

SALLY

Alright, it's just....

 

(Camera back to Nicole)

 

NICOLE

Is this about the conversation you had with Sonic?

 

(Camera shows Nicole in the foreground and focuses on Sally who stops and takes a deep breath)

 

SALLY

Yes....

(sighs)

It's time that I quit mothering Miles; he's...

he's all grown up. He's not the little boy I raised.

 

(Shot stays the same but Nicole comes into focus and Sally blurs)

 

NICOLE

Sally, you're actually less than five years older than he is.

 

(Camera at Sally's back)

 

Sally turns to face Nicole with her right hand on the counter clutching the knife.

 

SALLY

That's what I mean, I've been his “Aunt Sally” since he was born; I've been the closest thing to family he's ever had. I was... I guess the de facto adult amongst a bunch of parent-less children; I kept things from turning into Never, Neverland.

(laughs forlornly)

 

(Back to Nicole in a first-person view from Sally's perspective)

 

Nicole stays quiet

 

(The camera goes back to Sally like Nicole is looking at her)

 

Sally turns back to cutting the steaks with a stern look on her face.

 

SALLY

They're all gone... everyone; only three of us are left. It's time that we view one another as equals. I failed Nicole and I can no longer be responsible for another person.

 

(The camera focuses on Sally holding back tears and then on her hands as she clenches her fists slightly.)

 

SALLY

Nicole, I'm now reliant on them... Tails...

(heaves and lets out a tear)

...Miles is now his own man.

 

(The camera goes to a shot of Nichole in the foreground and focused on Sally in the background.)

 

Sally goes back to cutting the meat, but this time a bit less focused and rattled.

 

NICOLE

Sally, it wasn't all your fault and because of you Miles has grown into a great man, full of vigor and purpose.

 

(Side view of Sally showing her expression brighten up slightly and she slows down with her cutting motions as she seems to get lost in thought.)

 

Nicole continues

 

NICOLE

That's something to be proud of, and now....

 

(A view from Sally's other side.)

 

Sally nods still lost in thought.

 

SALLY

I suppose you're right... he has, well become a man before my eyes and dare I say even surpassed Sonic.

 

Sally blushes and looks up.

 

(A quick shot of Sally's hands as she slips and nicks herself with the knife)

 

(Goes to a side view from Nicole's perspective looking at Sally)

 

SALLY

Damn!

 

Sally exclaims as she wraps her wound in a towel and cleans up the blood being careful not to contaminate.

 

Nicole speaks as Sally takes care of things.

 

NICOLE

I apologize Sally, I didn't mean to distract you.

 

(A shot of Sally from the front)

 

Sally closes her eyes as she bandages her finger.

 

SALLY

No Nicole, it's my fault; I need to pay attention to what I'm doing. My mind has been... wandering.

 

(Shot over Sally's shoulder as she gets the pan heated up and begins cooking the steaks.)

 

Nicole speaking

 

NICOLE

Sally, if a might speak to you as a friend.

 

(The camera turns to show Sally looking at Nicole)

 

SALLY

Of course! You've always been that though, ever since my father gave you to...

 

(A shot from Nicole's perspective looking at Sally)

 

NICOLE

Have you ever... thought about Miles, as more than family?

Because from your actions that's how it appears.

 

(A side shot of Sally shaking her head)

 

SALLY

(slight laugh)

No Nicole, that's not....

 

(A shot from Nicole's perspective looking at Sally)

 

NICOLE

It might not even be conscious, but I can tell there is an attraction... Even if there is denial, and moral firewalls blocking your judgment.

 

Sally puts her hands on her hips and sighs.

 

SALLY

Nicole, that's... very unproper; he's my neph....

 

(Back to looking at Nicole.)

 

NICOLE

He's not your nephew, or blood and you two are almost the same age... Besides, what if I were to tell you he might feel the same, but his firewall is blocked due to the past.

 

(A side shot of Sally's face)

 

Sally cheeks starts to turn a tad red.

 

NICOLE

You know I'm right Sally.

You love Miles, and more than how you say.

I think his character, is the kind you have been searching for.

 

(From Nicole's perspective looking at Sally)

 

Sally goes back to finishing up on the steaks.

 

SALLY

Okay, I'll admit. I have... thoughts about it...

But, it still creeps me out.

I raised him Nicole, and stayed by his side.

When everyone else was fighting.

And at first it was more to keep my father from eating me up inside...

I mean lets be honest Nicole... I'm a rodent, and he's a canine.

If we were primal he'd be devouring my corps.

 

(A shot of Nicole)

 

NICOLE

Raised him you did, but he has grown up, as have you. He's a young, virile man and much better mate than Sonic... I don't think those primal habits exist in Mobians anymore.

So you might want to come up with a better excuse... Or just except there are no wrongs, other than not trying.

 

(A shot over Sally's shoulder as she plates up the food. Followed by a shot of Sally from the side.)

 

Sally nods and sighs.

 

SALLY

Maybe you're right Nicole, maybe that's why I'm doing this; I don't want to lose him. He's really all I have left and I love him... with all my heart. But I don't know if it's like that emotion.

 

(A shot showing Sally placing the food on the table and lighting the oil lanterns.)

 

NICOLE

Sally, if nothing else, please for your sake... if it happens don't push him away. It could be the best thing to happen to the two of you in years... or ever, and if there's anything I have assessed over the years of me and him out on missions... He is a very strong individual, and yet fractured by his past... You would both benefit, but only if you took the first step.

 

(The camera from Nichole's perspective shows Sally turn to her and with a glint in her eye and a smile on her face.)

 

Sally blushes once more, and sets the silverware on the table. Then nods at Nichole as she leaves the room to go get Miles.

 

(The camera focuses on the outside of the door as Sally opens the door and steps outside. The camera follows Sally from a semi-side view showing her in contemplation and then a slight smile on her face. The camera then shifts to a view over the top of Sally's head showing Miles' hut as her destination.)

 

(Camera focuses on a diagonal angle showing some of Sally's side and back focusing on the door.)

 

Sally knocks on the door as a Miles who is only wearing his shorts and still somewhat wet from a shower opens the door with a smile.

 

MILES

Sal, um, hi... What's up?

 

(Camera to a semi-side shot of Sally's face. She fidgets with her hair, brushing it out of her eye. She blushes slightly seeing his muscular bare chest.)

 

SALLY

Oh, um. I have dinner made.

 

(Back to Miles who pulls the towel off from around his neck and drapes it over the back of a chair.)

 

MILES

You made dinner... for me? Wow, well, thanks. What's the occasion?

 

(Back to Sally, who is still trying to focus.)

 

SALLY

Oh, well... your birthday just came and went and I....

 

(Back to Miles who lets out a grin with very bright eyes.)

 

MILES

Awesome Sal! Let me get myself dressed, I bet Sonic is pissed. The last thing he'd want to do is wait for someone else's birthday dinner.

 

(Back to Sally who looks away like the cat who got the canary)

 

SALLY

Well, actually... Sonic's not here.

 

(Back to Miles, who rolls his eyes.)

 

MILES

Why doesn't this surprise me... More for us!

 

(Side shot of both of them)

 

Miles laughs and Sally joins.

 

(Back to Sally who's smiling with a glow)

 

SALLY

Well hurry up gettin' dressed, you don't want your dinner to get cold.

 

(Back to Miles)

 

MILES

Oh, what might that be, if you don't mind me asking?

 

(Back to Sally, who winks and holds up a finger.)

 

SALLY

That's a surprise for the birthday boy.

 

(Camera looking a Sally from Miles' perspective)

 

Sally turns and walks back with a noted spring in her step.

 

(Back to Miles, who smiles. He goes to shut the door and stops to look again at Sally.)

 

(Back to a shot from Miles' perspective looking at Sally.)

 

Miles happens to notice Sally's ground squirrel tail flagging back and forth. (The camera narrows in on this.)

 

(Back to Miles, who shakes his head and the door closes)

 

 

[Time Lapse]

 

 

(The camera shows Miles at the door from an overhead/shot from behind, he's all dressed.)

 

He knocks on the door, Sally answers with a welcoming smile.

SALLY

Happy birthday...

MILES

(Lightly laughing)

Sally smacks the side of her head.

 

SALLY

(Back to Sally who's frowning and looks angry at herself.)

Miles playfully rests his right hand her upper left arm and shakes it a little.

 

MILES

I was kidding Sal, you making me dinner is the best gift I could ever think of.

SALLY

MILES

Naw, I was just jokin' with you... A present doesn't always need to be wrapped up.

Sally reaches her right arm around Miles' back and ushers him in.

 

SALLY

Well, come on in; dinner's getting cold.

 

(Next shot of them entering the dining room)

 

Sally walking slightly ahead of Miles as they pass through the archway.

 

MILES

Besides that, I think I'm a bit old for gifts.

SALLY

Well, about that, that was kind of the idea behind this celebration.

MILES

I don't understand Sal....

He beholds the table that is normally rustic, which Sally has exquisitely set with a tablecloth and the lit oil lanterns and formal dinnerware.

Miles' eyes widen and he glances over at Sally with a blush on his muzzle.

 

(A shot with both of them and the table in the background.)

 

MILES

What's this Sal?

 

Sally turns to the dinner table.

 

SALLY

Your birthday dinner... Let me get your side ready..

 

(A shot in the opposite direction with the door in the background.)

 

MILES

But... How is this about me being too old for presents?

 

(A shot a their backs as she motions Miles to a chair.)

 

SALLY

Let's talk about it over dinner... Okay.

 

(A focus on Miles as Sally circles around the table in the foreground to get to her seat.)

 

Miles waits for her to sit first, but still is taken aback by the extravagance of the table setting. It seems a bit awkward to him, he's a wee bit uncomfortable.

 

(A shot from Miles' perspective of the dinner.)

 

Miles surprisingly just noticed what he's having for dinner: a large juicy steak with all the trimmings.

 

MILES

Wow, Sal! You went all-out! This is... one of my favorites! How did you?

 

(Switch to Sally who's resting her chin on her interlocked hands with a grin)

 

SALLY

Does it matter?

 

(Back to a shot of Miles eyeballing his steak)

 

MILES

I guess not, but dang, you went way out of your way. It's kind of... I dunno, embarrassing.

 

He blushes slightly, trying to hide his affection towards her.

 

(Back to Sally who laughs)

SALLY

Miles, I wanted to do something special for you. And there's another reason too.

 

(Back to Miles)

 

Miles raises his eyebrows and gulps.

 

(Back to Sally)

SALLY

Don't be nervous, I just wanted you to know that you are your own man now... you don't have to answer to me anymore, unless you want to... if you know, I earn your....

 

(Back to Miles.)

 

MILES

Sal, I know this, and I still and will always look up to you. You're my....

 

(Back to Sally, who raises her hand)

SALLY

No Miles, we are equals now and I don't want your unconditional obedience.

 

(To Miles who is taken aback once again)

 

MILES

But Sal, you'll always have my respect; that will never change. Why do you....

 

(To Sally)

 

SALLY

Thank you, and I'm glad that you respect me for who I am rather than because of some misguided authority or parental obligation. I just want you to know that, well... I don't want to smother you anymore; I know it's one of my failings. I worry too much and I know this.

 

(To Miles)

 

MILES

Don't worry Sal, And you never failed on me... I loved every bit of the smothering you gave over the years.

 

He smiles, wipes some steak bits from his muzzle.

 

(Back to Sally, who remembers something)

 

She snaps her fingers.

 

SALLY

Oh, I almost forgot!

 

(Camera from Miles perspective showing Sally getting up, going over to the counter and picking up a dusty bottle from the counter.)

 

(A shot at Sally's back showing her bringing the bottle to the table)

 

SALLY

I've been saving this; it was in Knothole before the coup, when Knothole was still a retreat for the royal family.

 

(A up close shot of Sally opening the bottle and sniffing it. Followed by a shot of her filling the glasses.)

 

(A shot of Miles sniffing the glass, which is a red wine.)

 

(Back to Sally who raises a glass.)

SALLY

To the birthday boy.

 

(A side shot of both of them at either end of the table.)

 

They take a sip together.

 

(Camera fades out)

 

[Time lapse]

 

(Camera fades in on the table; they are both done eating)

 

(Focus on Miles, who rubs his gut, letting out a muffled burp with a grin. Then to Sally who laughs and seems proud of herself satisfying him.)

 

(Back to Miles)

 

MILES

I'm stuffed; I don't think I'll be able to move with any speed for a couple of days.

 

(A shot of Sally getting up and walking over to the refrigerator to get something out.)

SALLY

I hope you have room for this... I sorta baked for this occasion.

 

(The camera focuses on Sally's hands; it's a small (about 20cm in diameter) single layer sponge cake with strawberries and whipped cream.)

 

(To Miles)

 

He raised his brow.

MILES

Sorta... Well looks pretty tasty, I take back what I just said about being full.

 

(The camera follows Sally as she sets the cake down)

 

She places a candle on it, and lights it. She then slides it in front of Miles.

 

SALLY

Happy Birthday, and hopefully many, many more will come.

 

(A shot looking at Miles in front of the cakes)

 

He blows the candle out, the fumes trailing off into the kitchen.

 

MILES

I still not sure if I can eat all this, but since you made it... What the hell!

 

(Camera pulls back behind Sally as she scoots the chair next to Miles and sits down.)

 

She hands Miles a fork and holds on to one for herself.

 

SALLY

Why don't I help then.

 

She looks him into the eye with a grin.

SALLY

Let's dig in.

 

(To Miles, who looks surprised.)

 

MILES

We both... eating off of one plate?

 

(Back to Sally who laughs with a smile)

 

SALLY

Sure, even sometimes I have to rebel against my overbearing nature too.

 

(Camera follows Sally as she stabs a strawberry and eats it with a toothy grin.)

 

(Miles grins too and takes a bit of cake and eats it.)

 

There's a bit of whipped cream on his muzzle that didn't make it quite in.

 

(A quick shot of Sally looking at it)

 

Without thinking she reaches out and wipes it off with her finger. (The camera following this motion.)

 

(The camera back to Sally)

 

She licks it off her fingers; she herself not noticing what she did.

 

(Back to Miles, who catches Sally's eye contact.)

 

(A quick shot from Miles' perspective looking into Sally's eyes followed by a shot from Sally's perspective looking into Miles' eyes. And then a side shot of both looking into each others eyes.)

 

Silence and stillness for a couple of seconds.

 

(To Miles, who clears his throat.)

 

MILES

Excuse me, I've got a couple of things to do still... Thank you so much for the dinner and... the cake; it was... delicious.

 

(A shot showing Miles getting up from his seat. And then one of Sally who is surprised by his sudden motion.)

 

SALLY

Oh, Miles, you should take the cake with you.

 

(To Miles who nods, smiles, and picks up the cake.)

 

MILES

Thank you again Sal. You made this night something special, and one not forget.

 

He places his hand on her shoulder, and smiles. Then lets go and heads for the door.

 

(Back to Sally, who smiles.)

 

(A shot of Sally from the back showing Miles leave.)

 

He turns and looks back at her one more time before walking out.

 

(A diagonal shot from about 45 degrees above her showing her sitting alone for a few seconds.)

 

(Focus on Nicole, who is still sitting by the sink.)

 

NICOLE.

Sally, are you okay?

 

(A shot showing Sally get up and walk over to Nicole)

 

SALLY

I dunno... yeah, I guess so... I just.. I don't know.

 

(To Nicole)

 

NICOLE

Sally, I'm worried about both of you. You and Miles are the only thing left for each other to hold on to.

 

(Back to Sally, who leans up against the counter and crosses her legs and folds her arms)

SALLY

We still have Sonic.

 

(A shot of Sally's midsection focusing on Nicole in the background)

 

NICOLE

Do you? Sally, we both know that's not the truth. Sonic has motives that are only known to him.

 

(A face shot of Sally.)

 

She closes her eyes and nods in agreement.

 

SALLY

You're right, as always Nicole.

(sighs)

So, what should I do?

 

(Back to Nicole)

NICOLE

Be there for Miles; carry each others burdens.

 

(A shot of Sally from the side)

 

Sally turns to face Nicole.

SALLY

Nicole, but... What if... Things get out of hand? I don't really....

 

(To Nicole)

NICOLE

Sally, you shouldn't bother yourself with what ifs, but what is. You and Miles need each other, now more than ever.

 

(A shot of Sally walking towards the table, she nods and sighs.)

 

(A shot from up above showing Sally gathering the plates as the camera fades out.)

 

 

And now for Nicole to shed some light to Miles.

INT. Sally's hut first floor/ Resistance Group: Command and
Monitoring Station

Camera phases in panning through the front room and
catching a glimpse of Nicole her eyes are focusing on Miles
and she has an expression of worry. The camera will continue
to pan in a side view until focusing on the side of Miles as
he is typing away and catching the tinted green light
lightly splashing across Miles front.


Miles has been working on some back work trying to find out
more on his recent findings and also thinking about the past
events. He was still wearing his lengthy dark jacket, and
having a look of confusion after what he found out a few
hours ago. Nicole was hovering over the table eyes locked on
Miles typing away.

(There's a sound of water running upstairs)

Focus on Miles with Nichole's projection in the
foreground


NICOLE
Miles there is something I've been
wanting to ask you?

Miles goes still.

FOCUS ON NICOLE'S FACE

NICOLE

Miles did I say something wrong?

CLOSES IN ON NICOLE, SHOWS HER THINKING.

Then she noticed his reason of his frozen state. On the
screen was an image taken from one of his stealth cams. The
image revealed a familiar blue hedgehog, stepping outside of
an elevator inside the confines of Robotropolis.

NICOLE

Miles, that's not who I think it

is... Is it?

FOCUS ON MILES BACK

Still renaming frozen.

SHOW MILES IN THE FOREGROUND WHILE FOCUSING ON NICOLE.

NICOLE

That has to be a...

Miles abruptly shoots up out of the chair and runs to the
stairwell.

NICOLE
Miles don't... You just had...

STILL FALLOWING MILES, BUT SHOWING NICOLE IN THE BACKGROUND.

Miles stops midway up the steps leading to the bathroom
door, and freezes once more.

THE SOUND OF THE SHOWER IS LOUDER, CAMERA IS BY MILES
SHOULDER OVERLOOKING DOWNSTAIRS AND NICOLE.

NICOLE
Don't ruin this for her.

He looks back at the AI hovering over the table

FOCUS CLOSE IN ON MILES FACE.

MILES
Are you telling me... Sal shouldn't
know?

He looks back down at the AI.

MILES
I could've stopped him...(Sighs)
And then none of this would have
happened.

CLOSE IN ON NICOLE

NICOLE
What happened between you and Sal,
was a dream fully realized.

FOCUS BACK TO MILES.

Miles begins to notice a very new tone in her voice and his
heart sinks.

MILES
Nicole... What I did... Was...

BACK TO MILES.

NICOLE
The best thing... that has ever
happen to you.

A SIDE SHOT SHOWING BOTH OF THEM AT EITHER SIDE OF THE
SCREEN.

Miles froze, staring at her, his eyes starting to glaze.

MILES FIRST-FIRST

NICOLE
She can wait.

A FULL-ON FRONT SHOT OF MILES.

He rubs his right hand over his face and eyes trying to hide
his glazed look.

MILES
You honestly... Think she'll love
me, even if... I keep this from
her?

FOCUS ON NICOLE AND THEN SWITCH TO MILES CAMERA FIXATED ON
HIS SHOULDER LOOKING AT MILES SIDE OF HIS FACE.

He freezes for a few seconds.

STAYING ON MILES
 

NICOLE

Yes... I do..

 

MILES
I don't... (Deep sigh) I can't lie
to her especially after we...

A QUICK SHOT OF NICOLE'S MUZZLE EXCLAIMING.

NICOLE
Tails!

A SIDE SHOT OF MILES.

He shudders and jerks his head at her with a stern look of
disbelief.

A CLOSE-IN SHOT OF MILES FACE.

MILES
Nicole... Don't call me that!

CAMERA FOCUSES UP THE STAIRS.

He stops as he hears the shower shut off, and the shower
door slide open hastily. He looks back up, softened and
worried.

BACK TO A SIDE SHOT OF MILES, HIS ARMS HANGING LIMP AT HIS
SIDES.

MILES
I have to tell her.

He says quietly.

FOCUS BACK ON NICOLE.

NICOLE
No you don't... Please wait until
the fire calms down.

A PULLED BACK SHOT OF MILES.

He takes a few steps down while his eyes are still focused
on the bathroom door. Then takes a few more steps back.

MILES
But I don't want to lie to her...

A SHOT OVER MILES'S SHOULDER FOCUSING ON NICOLE

He looks back at the AI over the table, she has a look of
determination.

NICOLE
Da... Damn it, Miles think... Why
did she fall in love with you... If
she didn't think you cared more for
her than saving the world!

FIRST-PERSON SHOT OF MILES LOOKING AT NICOLE

He just stares at the sentient AI.

NICOLE
Keeping this knowledge from her, is
an act of security...

A SIDE SHOT SHOWING BOTH OF THEM.

He takes a few steps down eyes locked at the AI.

FOCUS BACK ON NICOLE.

NICOLE
And, honestly can't take another
conflict between lovers!

A SHOT ON MILES'S FACE.

Miles begins to realize that his best friend is talking to
him in a way that even he is having a hard time grasping. He
takes two more steps back and hits ground floor. Still
locked.

A SIDE-SHOT OF BOTH OF THEM.

MILES
Nicole I...

Cutting Miles off once more.

SAME CAMERA ANGLE JUST SHIFTED TO THE OTHER SIDE.

NICOLE
She flat out told Sonic off; she
told him that this world is to grim
for those sorts of things...

He carefully walks over to her,  now looking at the level of
her eyes.

MILES
What... Things?

FOCUS TO NICOLE.

NICOLE
Think Miles, think... Whats the one
thing that Sonic did seven years ago
that pushed you to being treated
like a child?

FOCUS ON MILES FROM CHEST UP.

He placed his left hand over his face and sliding down then
dropping back on the table.

MILES
The way he... Manipulated her...
All these years he's been toying
with her emotions, like its a game
to him. Why else would he come and
go as he pleases and not listen to
her orders and yet sweep her up off
her feet as if he never left!

Miles slams his fists against the table. And began to breath
heavily and eyes become glazed.

FOCUS ON NICOLE'S FACE.

Nicole looks at him with concern, but realizes Miles needs
to know.

 

NICOLE
Please don't get worked over the
past, as I have something I've been
hiding from you for a long time...
Actually you're going to be the
first person to find out, So can we
please remain calm and civil.

FOCUS ON MILES.

Miles listens and has a look of amazement and shocked with
confusion.

MILES
Nicole, You never... Talked like
this befo...

Nicole cuts him off.

PULL BACK SHOT ON MILES.

NICOLE
Do you know why we dream?

Miles rest his hands on the table.

SHORT SHOT OF NICOLE AND THEN BACK TO MILES.

MILES
Well it depends on the dream, but
for the most part... I dream a
false hope, well one that I would
like to see the light of day I
mean.

FOCUS BACK TO NICOLE.

NICOLE
Miles, do you miss your parents?

CLOSE IN SHOT OF MILES'S FACE.

Miles is stunned at what just came from Nicole's wavelength
like mouth.

MILES
I... Uh... Um... I really... Don't,
know.

FOCUS ON MILES AS HE RUBS HIS HANDS THROUGH HIS BANGS, STILL
IN SHOCK AND AWE AT WHAT IS BEING SAID TO HIM.

MILES

FOCUS ON NICOLE, FULL PROJECTION BODY SHOT.

NICOLE
Do you dream about them, and see or
hear them?

FOCUS ON MILES AS HE SCRUNCHES HIS RIGHT FIGERTIPS OVER HIS

He gets taken aback, and has this face of beauty and fear.

Nicole my birth was so long ago
that... I really can't remember my
parents, and to be honest I'm not
sure I would really want to see
them now. I mean, I was born into
chaos and was blinded by my youth
and thinking nothing was wrong
outside of Knothole for a good
chunk of my child hood... And then,

cut the wire, and make Sal proud of

and what I was hiding from you was
on that document you found in the
warehouse, and it was excruciating,

what happened after you transferred me from my old contraption,

and into all these new outlets.... I mean you gave me a way to learn faster

than ever before... I just was unsure if you would believe me, as I had

a dark feeling that you might think I malfunctioned, or something.

 

FOCUS ON THE UPSTAIRS, AS MILES HEARS A COMOTION.

 

(Sound of footsteps and drawers coming from upstairs) He looks up over at the stairwell, making sure he didn't startle Sal, and back at Nicole and smiled.

 

MILES

Nicole, you know me better than that... I wouldn't

think you malfunctioned, in fact I would be happy in that regard... Sure it

might take a while to process, but I wouldn't think you malfu...

 

She cut him off giving a smile and projecting glints in her eyes.

 

NICOLE

Shhh... Lets jump to a new subject okay.

 

Miles pulls out a folded piece of paper from inside his jacket pocket, and unfolds it and points

his finger at a section of the paper showing coordinates, tapping on the sheet of paper lightly.

 

FOCUS ON THE DOCUMENT WITH MILES FINGER POINTING AT AND THE DIAGRAM OF NICOLE'S OLD BODY.

 

MILES

Oookay... Do you mind telling me whats at these coordinates?

Is that where it happened, and is this you?

 

FOCUS ON NICOLE STILL EXPRESSING GLINTS IN HER EYES.

 

NICOLE

Those coordinates are where (long pause) Don't you want to talk about Sally?

 

FOCUS ON MILES FACE, HINTING A SMIRK.

 

MILES

You don't have to beat around the bush, were not in the warehouse anymore.

Giving how you tried to change the subject with Sal... Only solidifies my thoughts even back there when I noticed this paper. Nicole I find it funny how I gave you a visualization and a way to express yourself and yet I made your projection a fox, only to see here on the sheet that is your true self.

 

FOCUS BACK ON NICOLE, WITH THE PROJECTED LIGHT WASHING OVER MILES FRONT.

 

NICOLE

Well I wasn't sure how you would react and given the scenario at the time, I thought it might you know...Blow our cover... I will admit I find it ironic that's what you chose to visualize me as, I mean I'm surprised you didn't just make a squirrel be by your side. (Snickering)

 

MILES

Hey!... I wasn't that in love with Sal, was I?

But in all honestly that was one of my thoughts, but I...

decided to program you as a fox... I guess as way of not being alone in my species.

 

NICOLE

Aww... That's sweet, a tad tragic... But sweet nonetheless.

(Short Pause) You know speaking of Sally she has been

awfully quiet up there, you think she might have...

 

SIDE SHOT OF THE BOTH OF THEM AND LIGHTLY FOCUSING ON THE TOP OF THE STAIRWELL.

 

MILES

Fallen asleep... Possibly and I need to head out for a bit... See if I can dig up

IN SYNC WITH MILES ACTIONS.

 

Miles looks over at the screen on the desk, still showing the image that made him jump out of his seat.

He proceeds to walk over to the monitor, and tap a few keys on the keyboard, causing the image to vanish and show only the vector like desktop.

 

MILES

Yep, but first there is one last thing I have to do, before we head out.

 

FOCUS BACK ON NICOLE AS MILES PASSES BY HER

IN THE DIRECTION OF THE STAIRS.

 

NICOLE

We?... Head out?... Don't you want to get some shut eye first, I mean...

 

Miles was already almost up the stairs.

 

| TRANSITION TO SALLY'S BEDROOM|

 

FOCUS ON A CORNER IN THE ROOM CATCHING THE DETAIL.

 

The lights were off and Sally was sound asleep, as Miles quietly opens the door and light seeps in, shining onto the top of her covers, and lightly splashing over Sally's face.

 

FOCUS ON MILES FACE.

 

Miles smiles, then quietly says.

 

MILES

I'm still at a loss on how we are together.

 

FOLLOW MILES AS HE QUIETLY WALKS OVER BY THE BEDSIDE AND CAPTURING

HIS MOVEMENTS.

 

He looms over her looking at her celestial body, and gets on his knees and places a kiss on Sal's forehead.

 

MILES

Dream away, and I'm going to do the same.

 

FOCUS ON SALLY'S HEAD AND COVERS AND CAPTURING MILES SHADOW.

 

He gets back up and walks back over to the door, standing in the doorway looking back at sally.

 

MILES

Thanks to you my dreams, might now give me happiness... instead of fear.

I love you Sal... Dream for our future, as this fox might just make it so.

 

He closes the door and the room goes to black. Moving onto the next scene.

For me everything he was in when I was a young lad. From Flubber, Jumanji, Alladin, Bicentennial Man, Mrs. Doubtfire. To his stand up comedy and one that I watched a plethora of times "Robin William's: Weapons of Self Destruction" every line in that show made me almost die laughing... I feel a piece of my child hood is now lost, and for me the big hit is that he's the one actor I wanted to live and enjoy until I was in my late 30's. Robin you made comedy available for all ages of people. I just wished I could have reached that age I wanted and still knowing it would be a big loss. May our joy and tears over your hard work live on. thank you for making comedy for me all those years back.

Alright I myself loved every little bit of the game and while there could be things to fix (I only played the GBA version) like the janky camera and the field of view as Sonic's speed is to fast for the camera to see whats up ahead and maybe fix up on the levels to where it doesn't feel like its trying to kill you left and right. But really other than that I think just a touch up on the sprites and levels and you should be good.

 

But if you want to go deeper into your vision I say keep everything in the setting and mood broaden the dialogue and yet keep what you had with the characters. As to be honest I think you did a wonderful job on that and kept it very SatAM but had a very dark tone to it which I really liked.

 

Now I think with Tails, unlike everyone else so far. I feel he is perfect the way he is even with his bad mouth that fits his state of mind and him not really having a proper mother influence on his life. I would say to go even further in his dialogue as the game progresses. In short make his dialogue evolve as the game progressed at first have him have a more subtle approach in cursing and as the progresses, broaden his vocabulary spectrum. For me in my project called M.O.B.I.U.S. I have Tails resent his nickname and it actually is a trigger word for him and he has a mouth but its more targeted at Sonic and he even drops a few F-Bombs and yet still has a heartful self while also having no remorse on killing things and I also actually have Miles slowly lose that by Nicole telling him her past which makes Miles want to save Nicole and then everyone else. Anyway back to my thing on Epoch Tails.... Keep him as he is and then broaden him out later in the game.

  

And on to my thoughts on the innuendos... I say keep it and like ByTor expand upon it. 

 

Now I feel that going the Sonic game play is fallacy and should not even be thought for Epoch, and I realize that would irritate some. I feel the best way to make Epoch is to not make SegaSonic at all. As doing a point A to point B in a SatAM game is redundant, I know that sounds harsh in putting it like that. So take an original route, and go into a genre that hasn't really been done that often with the blue blur. If it was me I would make it have RPG elements and an advancing stealth system. I would do the RPG in a way that's not common, and by that I mean... Instead of gaining levels and experience, you substitute those RPG aspects with Knowledge and Stealth techniques. Lets say that as you progress through the game you gain knowledge of secret passage ways and about Robotnik's plans and tech he has been working on or is in production/blueprints this could be the (RPG EXP) Now as you gain knowledge the player learns that certain passage ways or Buttnik creations need to be handle in certain ways. If its a passage way stealth and attacks might be necessary or just on foot through the inter workings of Robotropolis might need to develop new ways of stealth tactics. Like sneaking past spotlights or distracting a possible threat ext (RPG LVL) could be this. Theres many more ideas I could add but I hope this might spark more than just a Sonic game with a dark tone and adding SatAM cast into it with dialogue and cut scenes.

 

Anyway that's my thoughts and I hope it helps in some way..

OH boy a discussion that I could really get into. Now I'm not going to cover what has already been said, as in my honest opinion, there has been somethings brought that I don't even agree with like some of your thoughts on Greenlight and Steam Early Access. Or what makes or breaks a game. For the longest time I thought what makes a game replayable over and over was that it needed to have solid game mechanics and and game play, and it did not need to have a in-depth story or flashy graphics. But my thoughts on that changed when I played, and which does't happen very often with me beat a so called title I can truly call a Beethoven's 5th, or Stravinsky's The Firebird Suite among video games. That game is called Dust: An Elysian Tail, and while not going to deep in why I say that. Dust:AET is a game the is story driven thought provoking has many morals and is beautiful in aesthetics not flashy graphics but to me it was the gorgeous game I have ever played. When it comes to being made almost entirely by one man with a an Idea that he has been cooking for years and this being his first game project, and how big it blew out and in-terms of indie games overtook the AAA in quality and execution. Oh and on top of that it had barely and bugs on release.

 

Now on to my favorite genre in games and one that like Stranger put has lost its fame and glory. That genre is strategy games, and when it comes to indie in that genre I am really happy that its finally having a rise up again while slow I feel games like Planetary Annihilation can change how we perceived RTS status quot. As it as very new Ideas and mechanics to freshen up what was once a dying genre. Another strategy is the dynamic TBS called Xenonauts which is a true successor to Xcom back in 1994 and arguably the best TBS out in the market right now. While yes it has its bugs and glitches, I can't call out on that as it was built from the ground up, and coming from a small dev team, and trying to pull off that, and succeeding in more ways than can be noticed at first glance hell even maybe 30 hrs of playtime. A good example for me was I was on a ground mission and finally my squad of sodiers was inside the crashed UFO and had my rocket recruit who got a little smarter after getting the most kills in the previous mission, no surprise he had an AOE Bazooka so blowing up hostiles was a piece of cake. Thought it was in this mission I made a critical mistake that not only killed him but four of my men, through a game mechanic I didn't think was going to exist in the game. What happen was there was a alien hostile in the core of the craft and I thought he was the last hostile, so i wanted to go back to base with a bang, and gloat to the lower ranks in cafeteria. I got my rocket guy and fired into the core room and not only destroying the core but also the hostile in the room. Now the effect of this was a fire started and grew each turn. which made me try and get out before my men were engulfed in flames. only to find out that machanic I was not expecting. The door to the outside world and my ticket to promotion, was locked due to my act of blowing up the core thus taking away the power of the craft. and I watched hopelessly as my men turn by turn burned alive as the fire broke into a blaze of reaping. I however beat the mission with my one other soldier outside the craft he was inexperienced and a rookie and yet as luck would have killed the last hostile. I was very proud of that rookie, but was still morning over the guys I lost to the blaze as if they were flesh and blood. I will never see those men again and I felt sick inside as I watch them die, and this is a game at an isometric view. I think when it comes to indie games even the bland or the lack of game and more art there still is a moment of prays as at least the game took the attempt weather it failed or not does not matter as at least it tried and most of the time with out if any, a budget.  

 

Now I'm going to shut up and see how this develops after.

Well I feel that since this is my first post in this discussion and reading up to this point has sure been an interesting ride. As I have noticed that were more heading toward discussing Snively and I want iterate my thoughts on why I find him a way more dangerous enemy than Robotnik. I guess I can start with the third episode of season 2 called "No Brainer" and it will focus on to aspects of that episode that make Robotnik and Snively very different in how they handle eradication strategies. There was one huge flaw in Robotnik and that was pride which made him as we all know lose in the end, but I feel his downfall was seen almost from the beginning as he would play games as much as Sonic did to him.

 

Now Snively on the other hand made leaps and bounds in just one invention. As well.... He was able to brain wash Sonic and make him part of his strategy in finding Knothole. Now where Robotnik never found Knothole, Snively did and not the only that he was able to mind wipe the majority of the other Freedom Fighters, except three. That was with one invention.

 

If anyone takes the crown at almost complete success. As much as some SatAM fans don't see it. To me and a few others see Snively as the one that could, in one go have Robotnik in a raged fit while looking at all six of the pests beckoning to his call.

Well I have quite a big project that I have been working on since I was ten and now I'm 23 and finally the progress is increasing. 

 

I can PM you a piece of the script, that's for the film. The project is called M.O.B.I.U.S. and it is a very dark and mature world of SatAM recreated by me over the years and is set 25 years after Robotnik took Mobotropolis. Also Tails is the star of this, as I know that if he can be a complex character then I feel he can change peoples minds on how he is always put as that nobody, or side character. When he has way more potential.

As this topic will be updated as new tracks get added to the point when Finally I can say I'm happy with what it contains as I make what I visually see weather that's for the prequel film that's in pre-production and and the future game side of the world I have built since I was ten and now is finally getting some life and a purpose. I can't wait for my vision to be seen by all and see the reaction from what I have fabricated as a future Mobius set within the world we all here love, and cherish. I also realize that I have another post for something quite peculiar to say the least and if interested please take a look at it as soon as possible as that will also be periodically updated as new features and content gets added to the project. #194137 After 26 Episodes, The World Of Mobius Is So Vast Teeming With Content!

OK, While im not sure if this has been braught up before, or at least in a similear matter, But I'm going to shoot the discussion anyway.

 

Right so as the topic states. I find it amazing that while SatAM only had 26 Episodes before having its door closed. That it contained so much visuals, and character, teeming with life or lack there of. To have we the fans keep it alive, not just for nostalgia reasons but also because the world was so vast and expansive that we can't let it be lost in oblivion and only be seen as a dusty VHS. Ithink what I'm trying to get at is, while we make our own asumptions on what ifs, or plot holes that we try to fillwith reasoning, or better yet creating a Mobius that while still keeping the SatAM vibe, making it even more unique or unsettleing. I mean sure yes the show was for kids, but it had a lot of hidden content that our young minds couldn't pick as easily until we got older. For instance "Blast From The Past part 2" we get to see Uncle Chuck roboticized right before young Sonic's eye's, and lets add a what if to that. lets say Future Sonic, or Juice as he so aptly named himself. Ran in as his uncle was being robticized, think of how he would react. I think it would be an emotional side that Sonic never showed. Lets also say that young Sonic sees his break down. He now has broke his cover as his future self. Thats just one example that keeps at least myself dedicated to keeping this gem alive. Even more so with what some of you members know as M.O.B.I.U.S. which I have very ambitious plans for.

 

Now I'll bring up, the fanfiction side of things. While yes its fan work and and not official. The fact that we can completly change how things happen or characters react. For me I like to put the charaters in situations that are not normal, within their character. By giving them free reign to choose how they see fit. In other words I play god but they have free will, even though its my own mind creating it, while giving the impression I have no control over their lives. The other thing I love about SatAM related fanfictions is having the feel and tone of the show, or adding to that, and yet still make us the reader feel as if it was natrual and intergrated into that world that Ben Hurst invisioned. And I guess the last thing I'd like to put is, while yes SatAM in the modern Sonic world is another cannon and should be forgotten, and just focus on what we have now. In actuality SatAM pathed everything out from the lore that Sega of America had built, something that is so full of content and creative character, and settings. That at least for me is the biggest lore for a game that was only thought as a ( Point A - Point B ) with no story, and weather or not the modern generation agrees, we are the true Fans of Sonic, as we have watched it grow into mass phenomanon, and then with one flick of hand. Slump down to where other non Sonic gamers just want it to end.

 

Wow that was quite a lot, and I hope deep for your reading. as it was for me typing it out.

Well I guess I'll see now what discussion might start or not start. As this is how I feel about my favorite childhood world.

OK I really think I need to stop drinking coffee from Dustbucks. Starting to get addicted. Well here's a Gimpation that took around 4 hours from start to finish. I used a new technique that I creatively discovered when using a combo of blur and smudge with different amounts of opacity and brush sizes and types.

 

Bio of Ditz.

 

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop. The world still never knows, and the same goes for if Dust and Fidget had a thing for each other. without going into detail on the process. :P

Ditz is the outcome and the name is not just an attempt to mix Dust and Fidget names, but some genetic mutations that even her parents don't know about. her right eye is near blind, which has given her quite the trouble growing up. She has a tendency to start a conversation coherently and then shortly after run astray and be scatter brained. A possible link to the genetics.

 

Well there you have it Ditz. I had a lot of fun creating this, even more so when I discovered the fur technique.

A possible Web comic I might continue on, but not sure if others will but hear it is. its just the first page. So not a whole lot there but enough that you kinda get the gist.... Sorta.
