@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

The Chances Of Anything Coming From Mars...

18 February 2015 - 08:37 PM

http://www.usatoday....lumes/23497289/

Amateur astronomers have spotted huge cloudlike plumes erupting from Mars – a phenomenon that scientists are at a loss to explain.

The bright flares, which have now died away, towered higher than anything else observed in the Martian atmosphere. Their tops reached some 150 miles in altitude, more than twice as high as the highest Martian clouds, and they sprawled across 300 to 600 miles, researchers report in this week's Nature, a science journal.

You know, this reminds me of something.

All That Is Needed For Evil To Succeed...

11 December 2014 - 11:50 PM

For years the whole anti-furry mentality has been getting more and more out of control. It was getting to the point of no longer being funny, not even sad, but scary. I mean some of these fanatics go on and on like we're not even people and that we're all freaks and that killing us ought to be legal. And for years I've been warning people that something terrible would happen if something is not done. But no one took me seriously, always claiming that I was just "feeding the trolls" or "butthurt" or some retarded bullshit. They clearly did not see the danger of this culture of hate that was clearly festering.

And now, unfortunately, I have been vindicated. Now the anti-furry mindset has literally reached the point of domestic terrorism. I just learned that at midwest furfest of 2014, someone thought it would be funny or noble to deliberately leak chlorine gas into the convention.

But don't take MY word for it.

Thankfully, only 19 people were sent to the hospital and all of them survived.

And you know what? Instead of realizing that this is getting out of control and seeing the metaphorical blood form on their hands, the furry-haters are getting a BONER out of this. If THIS doesn't show how much of a sociopath they are to everyone, I don't know what does. You know, I have often have been criticized for comparing furry-haters to the Nazis. But is it really that much of a stretch to compare zealots who think that people who are a little different than them are sub-human and worthy only of death? Is it really much of a stretch to compare fanatics that have murdered people with poisonous gas to someone who attempted the exact same thing? In fact I think that's what influenced this decision.

I hope they find the mother-fucker who did this and charge him for attempted murder.

The Fight Against Isis

12 October 2014 - 10:48 PM

Last month was the launch of military operations by the United States against a group called "ISIS", short for the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, just a branch of the "Islamic State". Thing is they used to be part of Al-Qaeda but eventually outgrown them and cut ties. And it sounds to me like they want to create a middle-east wide superstate. Also I'm convinced they will try to remove all "impurities". After all drove all the Kurds into being trapped on that mountain and forced them to choose between Islam or death by their firepower or starvation. So then the united states military stepped in and after a couple of air/drone strikes against several ISIS artillery positions airlifted the people (at least most of them) out.

And I don't know why or when but then the order was given to just take ISIS out. So then they launched an all-out attack like Bill Clinton ordered against Al-Qaeda in the late 90's. The difference this time is that now more drones are being used, as well as my favorite plane for the very first time, which sometimes I wondered if it would ever see combat.

Now the reason why the Raptor was never used before is because most of the time over the past few years the people we fought were armed with things like trucks with turrets mounted in the back, RPGs, IED's, suicide bombers, and nothing in the terms of anti-air. However, this time the most important target, the ISIS central command building, was located well within a Russian-built Syrian advanced anti-aircraft network. Now President Assad has no love for ISIS, but tensions were still high because he ordered the use of chemical weapons against political dissenters and nearly caused A US military intervention, an action in which the Russians claimed would have severe consequences. But then the Syrian government agreed to turn over their chemical weapons and that war was avoided. However, this time military planers were still worried that the Syrian government would try to target our planes if they entered Syrian airspace. Now we have successfully penetrated airspace with such networks thanks to jammer aircraft and stealth planes. But those were retired, however, THIS plane just perfectly fits the bill, since it is extremely difficult to detect on radar and can go supersonic without attracting attention on IR by lighting the afterburners.

As for me personally, I have mixed feelings about this. There is always the ever present concern with collateral damage, and the spending is out of control at time. But on the other hand these ISIS thugs are everything we fear about that part of the world. I HIGHLY doubt they would invade us anytime soon since they surely would be mowed down. But could they attack us? Well, 19 religious fanatics armed only with box cutters were able to gain control of four airliners and kill nearly 3000 Americans so... And also keep in mind that because of ISIS exactly ELEVEN airliners in the region have gone unaccounted for. Think about that number, ELEVEN, noticing a pattern? And keep in mind they used to be part of the group that DID attack us. But at least this time there are no bullshit lies about weapons of mass destruction, or allegations about this only being about the oil. All of this is based upon stuff that actually has been confirmed.

Also, think about that name ISIS. Is it just me or does that sound like a really awesome G.I. Joe villain name?

ISIS: Cobra has selected ME to lead this operation! We shall make this region our empire!

Raptor: Not if I have something to say about it. EAT JDAM!

*Blast*

ISIS: Crap, didn't see that one coming.

Raptor: No one ever does.

I Might Have Hpts

28 August 2014 - 08:04 PM

I just want you to know that I have not been active as much during the last few days. Well I have been suffering from kidney stones for years but lately they have been going from bad to worse. And I think the reason why is because I might have this disorder.

And lately, I've felt something in the left side of my neck getting bigger. I'm supposed to visit the doctor tomorrow and verify this and hopefully will not be another bureaucratic waste of time. They should have identified this back in 2007 but they didn't, and maybe my life would have been a lot better and/or different by now. I feel like I've been robbed. And reading up on some of the symptoms, such as the mental performance impairments, depression, and often feeling tired, I can see moments all through my life where this affected me.

Hopefully once this is all taken care of, you might see a whole new Louis.

R/c Pilots Vs Faa

03 August 2014 - 11:31 PM

I'll start out with a video.

https://www.youtube....EQiOa6g&index=3

So basically the FAA has decided that if you make money using a remotely-controlled aircraft with a first person view camera, your plane is suddenly considered to be a potential threat.

So this is what we have come to? Have we allowed Osama Bin Laden to terrorize us to the point we are afraid of people who use RC planes to make money? You know, the planes involved in the 9/11 attack were hijacked airliners that were FAR heavier, faster, and carried MUCH more flammable fuel, and yet did we get rid of the airliners?

And what about the people who use this for utilities? Like arial photographers that use that for their income? Now they have to fork over a couple extra hundred thousand dollars just to buy their own helicoptor or go out of business. And what about people who use such devices for search and rescue? Or fighting fires? Or what about people who are sponsored to perform at R/C events? Or those people who make money by uploading the videos to youtube? What is to become of all of them? You know how Republicans keep complaining about "Regulations hurt the economy"? Well what do you call THIS?!

The worst part of this is how barely any regulation/legislation to govern the unmanned systems that HAVE killed thousands of civilians, and yet the legal burden falls on R/C hobbiests. Let the facepalming begin.

However, there is yet some good news.
