I think you have speak about some interesting things about Sonic. I don't like Youtube for comments this videos, because just check your video, just stupid comments about: make Sonic Generations 2 , Make Heroes 2, etc etc.

I want to make a discussion here. Want to share with FUS and want to hear opinions.

I will start:

First you stated is that SEGA is out of ideas. Can be true or can be false, We can't knew it.

One proof is...just check the latest games: Sonic Adventure 1 remake, Sonic Adventure 2 remake, Sonic CD remake and the next game incoming, Sonic The Hedgehog 1 remake (again).

That could make you think that SEGA is out of ideas, but I think not. This is called "easy money", you do a few updates, you know the game will sell, you just need some artist that upgrade the video quality and voila, you have a remake.

I will combine four things you stated:

"SEGA is out of ideas"
"We told you (SEGA) want We want"
"Some fans want ... Some fans want....Some fans want...."
"We are terrible fans"

SEGA never run out of ideas because since Internet, Sonic is famous known as the most heared fanbase. SEGA always heared us, the problem is not what you said about we are terribles, is because we are one of the huggest fanbase comunnity of videogames.

Some people can think that be the huggest fanbase is awesome, is the best is blablabla. I'm afraid they are wrong. As you said, everyone is free to comment his opinion, so even a kid of 7 years can comment, even a hater can comment.

This generation (2010-2020) has the worst gamers in the whole history. People use internet for complain about what they don't like instead of what they like. That cause companys like SEGA, CAPCOM, everyone, get confused. Imagine that instead of saying Sonic is awesome, I say Mario suck. Now imagine everyone do that. Suddenly Nintendo read a lot of negative comments. What they should do? They don't know and sadly most of the comment are from people that never played it because another fact that make gamers of nowdays sux, is that they use his opinion for integrate in societies. Is the "gamer vane", he spin where he need. In one comunity love Sonic and in other hate it.

Now all I said before, is the same is happening on Sonic fanbase. We don't need hater from others companies, we just need ourselves.

Sonic fanbase is huge, a lot of people with different opinions (for example you like Sonic Colors and I think was bad, but I just don't talk about it, I prefer to say how I like Sonic R even I know that have some fails), We have 20 years of Sonic history. Sonic Stadium is one example. Is for me the latest forum I wanna join. Why? Is just a community that fight who Sonic game is worst.

Imagine 2 ways:

One forum where everyone say positive things of every game they want.

One forum where everyone say negative things of every game they hate.

If you go to the first one, you just have to see which are more popular, which one have more followers to see where you have to focus.

If you go to the last one, you don't know a shit. Because if you go to Sonic 1 you can hear "omg Sonic doesn't have Homming atack, it sux", and when you go to Sonic 2006 "omg, Sonic's Homming atack sux". If you were SEGA, what you will do. You don't know.

Posting a pool of facebook I think is useless. Is like I said, we are very different even if we are fans of Sonic fanbase. One example is here, I'm a videogame Sonic fan, and most of you are comic/satam fans. I still don't like at all this stuff about Freedom Fighters and archie is kinda weird. You see me talking about stuff I dislike about SatAM? I think not, the only thing you could read me is talking about Ben commentary "They should add Sally and co to videogames" that I replied that is innecesary, only I could agree in add Sally on a strategy game like "Advance Wars" because Sonic franchise still doesn't have a strategist or one good leadership like Sally. I'm not a huge fan of SatAM even if I'm here and I don't try to hide. I love this comunnity because everyone argue reasonably even if I'm disagree. I like your video a lot Matt. I like in fact how you try to argue reasonably about introduce SatAM in other media.

Sonic never runned out of ideas, We have sport games, olympics games, pinball games (and watch Spinball, is kinda weird and is awesome), party games, racing games, puzzle games, rpg games, 2D games, 2'5D games, 3D games, action games, and I'm sure they will make more surprising games.

A lot of vareties, a lot of games, a lot of opinions, but never said we are an horrible fanbase. We have one of the best fanbase even 80% of the fans are ....specials.

We have a lot of hack versions by fans, we have creepy pasta like Sonic.exe , We have a better version of Sonic 1 soon thanks to one fan called Taxman, we have all the cartoons in multi-lenguage thanks to fans that waste their time dubbing and fansubbing. We are one community with the higgest fan-art work. We have the longest videogame comics. You think we are horrible? I think not. Remember what you are doing Mat..oh yes. a FAN ANIMATION, made from a FAN COMIC about a history FAN MADE by FANS of Sonic SatAM. How much fanbases continues a end show with such popularity?

You only have to find your group on Sonic fanbase, thing that SEGA can't, SEGA always tryed to make a game that make happy all, that I think is completely impossible. The problem with Sonic fanbase is that we are really huge and is completely impossible make a game that make happy all.

I will make the last example:

RE have his own forum, if you don't like RE just don't join to a forum of RE and you are not a fan of RE.

Sonic have a lot of forums. Fans of SatAM, fans of videogames, fans of archie, fans of classical, fans of modern games. If you don't like SatAM, you don't join to a SatAM forum, but if you like Sonic videogames, you are still a fan of Sonic.

I want to hear your opinions. What do you think. I think Matt really started an interesting topic that should be funny how it would end. Sonic fanbase is horrible? SEGA should make a poll?

As I said before, I want to create a post about Sonic music. I don't know if you know it...but I like videogames music, but I freaking love Sonic music...so much that the point I started playing Sonic games because of hear one song.

Going to the topic, Here is the rules/things:

The main purpose of this topic is to show that every Sonic have one big song so I will put only one rule: I called it "The 7 chaos emeralds".

You can't post a song from the same media until 7 songs. If you post one song from SatAm you can't post another until 7 more songs. Same with titles of videogames, If you post Crisis city, you can't post another from Sonic '06 until 7 more songs.

You can post everything, remix, instrumental...Everything. Note: the media that will count will be the original, This mean that if I post Crisis city Modern from Generations will count as Sonic '06, and If I post for example "Before the machine" Will count as Sonic Spinball, or for example if you post Can you feel the sunshine from Sega all stars racing will count as Sonic R.

You have to post the media (title of wathever you put: Sonic 1 game gear or Sonic X or AoSth or Sonic adventure 2...), the name of the song is optional but you have to post the title.

I want to suggest remove the limitation media or up to 5

Why?

I had some problems with this limitation. Here is some examples:

When you put videos about some videogame or most important, some saga...you usually put more than 2 videos. Real problem: When I tried to explain with some videos certains moments of the RE saga games.

When you try to put some random videos for jokes what you found...let say...I found x person making fun short videos, and I want put some...again the restriction.

When I want put music about one videogame, and I cant put more than two.

I know abuse of media can be annoying for the eyes, but useing wisely (for example spoiler tags) you can make nice post for the eye even if your post is full of media items. Also I see bad do doblepost just for jump the limitation...so I want ask if is possible remove it.

By the side of 4chan, you can find awesome cruel answers.
By the side of Sonic fanbase, you can find things like "donate to his family" (that personaly I think is going very far. Don't judge me as evil person, judge me as realistic person. A lot of people die in worst condition and could be saved giving food, and need more than a family which lost his son but we want donate because was a Sonic fan)
And in my opinion, by the side of his parents, is very far make a Sonic coffin...I want see his parents check internet and see how people speak about his son (that was obvious if you make something striking like a Sonic coffin)
