As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.
Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.
No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!
Oke doke, so the previews for the next Sonic Universe issue is up, continuing the still developing Silver. Fairly hum drum stuff, until you take a look at who'll be appearing in this particular issue...
Those of you who recall where these guys precisely showed up, discuss.
To the uninformed; Once upon a time Ian Flynn was a humble fan with some fame/notoriety for making a fancomic called 'Other-M' (no relation to Metroid), that involved Sonic ending up in an alternate mobius with an alternate set of Freedom Fighters. The whole thing was a big case of your mileage varying given how various alternates were handled and how the story itself went. Those Freedom Fighters that appeared in Other-M were fairly different from thier Mobius Prime counterparts, and they happen to be the individuals saving Silver's keister up there.
So, what are we to make of this shout out back to Flynn's fancomic days? I personally I'm not sure as whether to take this as an interesting inside gag on the fandom or the shoehorning of his old fan ideas into a comic printing. But hey, it makes more sense then a couple of certain crossovers performed by Penders, that's for sure.
Well, what better way to get used to a place then to start something that'll likely end in horrible, horrible controversy and ruin? Now, we've all got our opinions regarding Ian Flynn's run on the comic (some rather scary ones at that) and how he's handled things. So what I have to ask, is what thus far have you liked about his run? What has the ascended fanboy done in the comic that you personally enjoy?
Remember as this is meant to be a "What do you like" thread, please reserve all the myriad reasons about what you DON'T like about Ian's run elsewhere.
I guess I'll start us off... I like that he's willing to try new things in the comic as well as explore the planet mobius a bit. I like the fact that he tries to utilize old material and make it more interesting or better presented then the first time it may have been utilized, and that he's trying to further develope bits and pieces about planet mobius itself that have only been mentioned offhandedly or referanced in the past and showing more of the world Sonic and Co inhabit. World building is something I enjoy, so seeing things get developed is a big plus for me.
