Hey all,

Just thought i'd throw a note in here to let you know that i'll be leaving for a little while, not sure how long. I just have so much going on in my life right now - lots of responsibilities - that i need to eliminate as many extra things that eat up my time as i can. Once life settles back down to a reasonable rate, i hope i'll be back; in the meantime, don't burn the place down. I'd like to always be able to know that there's a FUS community out there, ready to welcome me back if i get the chance.

I'll miss ya. Thanks for the laughs.

So I also posted this topic on the SMS boards, but just because these things entertain me...

While I know that many people dislike the romance debates that seem to incessantly revolve around the Sonicverse, the rest of us get a kick out of pairing up various characters and then rooting for them to work. We have our 'pet' couples and love to discuss the ins and outs of the potential relationship, even though we know we'll never change anyone's mind (though that doesn't stop us from trying!). Some of our fan couples would invoke some serious continuity screw-ups/mash-ups, Sega will never pick them up, and most people would consider them really, really weird, but we don't care, because they make sense to US and seeing any hint of the coupling makes us go "SQUEEEEE!"

So, here's a few of my preferred pairings:
1. Sonic/Sally - Okay, kind of goes without saying. Not so weird.
2. Tails/Cream - Again, not so weird.
3. Bunnie/Manic - Remember Manic? Best thing to come out of Sonic Underground? Mechanic and hacker extraordinaire? Oh yeah.
4. Antoine/Amy - Yes, i'm serious. This could be awesome.
5. Silver/Sonia - Well, I like it.
6. Blaze/Shadow - There's a fairly large fan community for this one.
7. Knuckles/Tikal - Not so odd, though it would have to involve some serious time manipulation - but, um, this is the Sonicverse.
8. Rouge/Espio - The two kind of aloof ninja-types. Oooooooooh yeah.

So... who are YOUR favorite couples, official, unofficial, or "this one will never see the light of day"?

So having made several posts and probably having unintentionally made a few people dislike me (I'm sorry! Really! ) it dawned on me that there was an introductions thread.

Um. Hi. Anything i should know? And why do i have this wacky little thing in my profile that says "Robotnik <3"?

So from the very moment I discovered that Archie Comics had put Antoine and Bunnie, it confused me.

What? No! Why?

It doesn't make sense. She's a sugary but down-to-earth southern belle with a temper and super-strength to go with it, he's a wuss of a Frenchie who everyone in Knothole has always seen as a coward and a slacker. He really can't be with anyone he grew up with, especially with the added complication of his very long crush on Sally. Too much history. And she not only needs someone a little more laid-back, but also deserves someone a little more, I don't know... cool?

Now, okay. Antoine can get cool. (Though not the “I-don't-have-a-consistent-personality-anymore” Archie Comics version). But it's not the kind of cool that goes with a crazy-attractive cyborg rabbit.

Actually, i have a ship of my own for each of these... but i wouldn't mind seeing what everyone else thinks...

Antoine/Bunnie? Just plain weird.
