Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

The entire episode is a spoof on the movie Groundhog Day, it will make a lot more sense (and be a lot funnier) if you're familiar with it. I'll give the writers credit for their good taste if nothing else, but like you say, the ending was a bit abrupt and takes a few rewatches to make sense. I've noticed that almost all the episodes of this series have serious trouble resolving their own plots before it's time to wrap up.

Yep, sounds more to me like Jeremy was just throwing a tanty. Were it anybody else in that position, nobody would've batted an eyelid about the sacking. I find the petition to get him back pretty ludicrous.

Art and writing, ain't like riding a bicycle. They're more like muscles. If you don't keep them working, they fade away to nothing. It's a sad thing to see - he was pretty good in the early-mid points in Archie's run. He had some good ideas for plot lines and his art was great, even if his dialogue was always a little trite even at the best of times.

Just so you know, LogiTeeka, I've been watching the episodes as soon as I'm able to every Sunday, I just haven't been too enthused to post about it for whatever reason.

I've liked most of the series so far and my original impression stands: it aspires to do very little other than make you laugh and for the most part it pulls it off, and it's actually quite clever in some ways. The sense of timing is generally good and the dialogue is slick and well-delivered, showing that the VAs have a good grasp on the characters they're voicing. I loved the escalation in pitch between Knuckles and Sonic in 'Unlucky' ("Skill"/"luck"/"skill"/"luck"/"skill") - Knuckles becomes increasingly unhinged, while Sonic remains completely deadpan. Beautiful!

I still take issue with Knuckles' characterisation - at first I thought it was just my natural reaction after interpreting him to be of a very different disposition in other Sonic media, but at this point I'm just more-or-less convinced that he's a one-note character at the moment. Sticks got a treatment in an episode of her own that made her a lot more likeable in my eyes, but so far Knuckles, whenever the spotlight's on him, is just made out to be dumber and dumber. He shows some self-awareness about it, but overall that just makes him seem like he's got no self-confidence or intelligence.

I share your thoughts about the last episode: fun and amusing though the pacing is all over the place, especially near the end where the plot resolves itself literally in the last 30 seconds and then just stops. I like that Sonic, without a sense of purpose, basically turned into what I expected: an annoying arsehole. I was expecting his paranoia to be mirrored by Sticks' similar take on the lack of Eggman's presence, but alas, she doesn't even get a single spoken line in the whole episode. Guess her voice actor had the week off or something.
