Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

#96994 Looking For Transcripts

Posted by Bakuda on 07 April 2012 - 10:05 AM

Alright...unfortunately we're having to skip Episode 19 "Dulcy" for now. Hopefully we'll be able to include it in the next update. For today, however, I have Episode 20 "The Void" , which, I might add, I did enjoy immensely. Also, just a heads up, I won't be able to do any transcript updates next week. It's the last week of classes, and then finals on Saturday, so...things are going to be pretty crazy. But I'll have something for you on the next Saturday.

Am I the only person of drinking age who finds alcoholic beverages just flat-out undrinkable? They all taste so horrid. =I

Yeah...I'm like Kef...never tasted the stuff...and don't really care to for that matter.

Welcom to FUS Tenyo! I got the same Genesis when I was a kid...came with Sonic 2. As you said it will forever be a favorite of mine. I did enjoy Sonic 3 as well but Sonic 2 holds so many great childhood memories.

#51507 Pixar's "Brave"

Posted by Bakuda on 27 June 2011 - 08:47 PM

So, Pixar has announced it's new feature animated film slated for release in the summer of 2012. The film, "Brave", is a tale about a scottish princess. The film synopsis states:

Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In Brave, a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts. Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (Robbie Coltrane). Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch (Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late.

The interesting thing about Brave is that it's Pixar's first attempt as a strong female lead. From the teaser, I'm loving the graphics and lighting. This is one I'm definitely anxious to see, especially after the disappointment of Cars 2.

#49921 Seth Macfarlane To Do Flintstones Revival

Posted by Bakuda on 18 May 2011 - 09:13 PM

And in my opinion, the original Flintstones wasn't very good anyway. Though we agree there's no particular need for a remake! :P

Seriously, the show had bad animation (as did pretty much all TV shows of the time) and often predictable plots. Fred's character is interesting, I suppose, but he's still just an incarnation of the Ralph Kramden archetype. All of the other Flintstones characters seem dull and one-dimensional to me, though at least Mel Blanc's voice gave Barney some life.

Of course Fred was an incarnation of Ralph Kramden...the Honeymooners was the most popular show on the air at the time the Flinstones began. And as far as animation is concerned you really can't compare the quality of the Flinstones to todays standards. As you said, "show had bad animation (as did pretty much all TV shows of the time)". Another way to look at that statement is that the animation of the Flinstones is comparable to other animation of the day. That was about as far as animation had gone at that time and when you consider they released one episode a week I imagine they were doing pretty good.
