As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.
Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.
No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!
Interests: Drawing, reading comics, reading books, watching movies, playing video games, being creative, and pretty much enjoying life. I am a huge Sonic fan. Personal favorite character is Sally.
Okay I guess it's on to the next episode of ponderings of season one: Super Sonic.
Question #1: I always giggle when I hear Robotnik mention that the Roboticizer is in "Sabotage Mode." While it's a cute little joke, seriously why would someone have a machine with a "Sabotage Mode?" I can see it now: Off, On, Pre-Heat, Sabotage, Clean, Popcorn, Defrost, Bake and Broil.
Question #2: Was it jogging his memory or the power of the ring that brought Uncle Chuck to the surface mentally and why did the zombie-robot personality take back over?
Question #3: What was it about the giant active energy crystal's removal that would've caused Mobius' ecosystem to be "finished?"
Question #4: Uncle Chuck states that Robotnik is using the crystal to replace Robotnik's dwindling oil supply. Now, with Robotnik being a living creature, isn't doing something like destroying the planet's ecosystem just killing yourself? Or maybe Robotnik had no idea what he was messing with?
Question #5: What was the dinobot's purpose? And was it a robotisized creature or pure robot?
Question #6: With seeing Bunny jam its jaws open does this mean she is metal inside, or is she just strong?
Question #7: With them stopping Robotnik's removal efforts and shattering the crystal, our heroes are victorious. But what's keeping Robotnik from gathering up the shards and using them, or did that alter the crystal's properties?
Anyway, that's all I can think of at this moment, if anyone wants to to add any more, by all means do so.
Here we go again
Robotnik is paranoid. It could have tons of different functions that don't seem to do anything.
I've got nothin.
I dunno. Also wouldn't breaking it cause the same amount of damage?
Robotnik probably didn't care. Thought he'd be safe enough regardless the damage.
It was a digger. Likely it dug there to find the Crystal. My question is why does it try to eat it's enemies if that's how you get in to control it.
Bunnie's arm can can rip through glass like paper and bust open large metal doors. She's that strong apparently
Again, I'm more worried about the destruction causing the same effect of removing it.
Question 1: During the escape Cat lures the 'bots away from the fleeing Sally and Antoine. Why didn't Sally notice that Cat was gone, and when her and Ant stopped at the at the regroup area they seem to not care about their missing comrade. Not only that, but when Sonic brings it to their attention they still don't seem to show any concern. Why is this? Which leads into question 2:
Likely this isn't the first time Freedom Fighters got separated while escaping. Also they probably did notice but couldn't go back for him.
Question 2: When Sonic proclaims that he is intending on rescuing Cat both Sally and Antoine still aren't worried for his welfare and not only that Sally says that she intends on going into the swamp to look for her father instead. Does this show her as a bad leader with tunnel vision? Wouldn't it make more sense to first save Cat and then go looking for The King with a proper expedition? I mean, he's been wherever he is for ten years and waiting a day or so wouldn't change anything.
If your father that was missing for ten years who you thought was dead might be at a certain place, would you logically wanna wait? Sure it isn't the most logical choice, but it isn't a case about logic here. Sally isn't perfect either, she can make the wrong decision.
Also combining the two questions, the King was likely on Sally's mind so she wasn't paying attention to Cat when he disappeared. Antoine....well likely he was checking Sally's butt out.
Question #3: After being taken before Dr. Robotnik Cat is threatened by Robotnik saying that he has "amazing machines" that can "do" things... What was he referring to was he intending on taking the information via some sort of robotization like process or is does he mean old fashioned torture?
Threats. He is threatening Torture to test Cat's willpower. Likely he wants Cat to sweat it out as kind of a mental torture.
Question #4: When Sonic finds Cat in the cell Cat informs Sonic that Robotnik's surveillance has picked up Sally. How did Cat find this information? Is it standard procedure to inform captives of up-to-date intelligence?
My guess is a Priority One Freedom Fighter interrupted Cat and Robotnik's "chat".
Question #5: Cat tells Sonic to not worry about him and help Sally. Why didn't Sonic at least break open Cat's cell? In the previous scene we saw Sonic spin-dashing through doors; it wouldn't take but a second to give Cat a fighting chance to get out.
You forget Cat is old. Likely Sonic could escape but Cat would have gotten gunned down.
Question #6: Why did Sally wait until she had been slogging along for what appears to be a great deal of time before asking NICHOLE about any structures in the swamp and only ask after Antoine of all people asks where they are going?
....yeah that one was just.....
....
What the heck Sally?! You even knew what the place was.
Question #7: Now, I could go on and on about how Sonic Boom and Blast to the Past contradict each other. Just to make it simple, how would you explain away the fact that The King left this trail of messages for Sally and parts of his cape behind when Robotnik overthrew him in a surprise blitzkrieg and made The King do "The Time Warp" in The Void? (I couldn't pass up the Rocky Horror reference seeing as Tim Curry being in both casts!) Again, I have my own personal theory that I will wait to tell.
Likely when Sonic and Sally went to the past history changed.
Also possible is that the message was recorded ahead of time and Sally only found it long after it was intended to be found.
Question #8: Was Ironlock really built in 1543 AD? Or was it by another calendar? Also it was abandoned 100 years ago, does this mean that Mobians have been using a structure that exists in our time?! And who was it that was being held in that prison a century prior?
I got nuthin. I don't really consider Mobius Future Earth so....
Question #9: Why was there a booby trap in front of the computer that drops people into the sewer? Wasn't this a prison cell meant to keep prisoners locked up?
Likely to avoid having escaping prisoners access to the computers.
Question #10: I believe that it has been covered before in this thread, but who built the robotic alligator and what's its purpose?
Moat Monster. Guard Dog. Likely designed to scare people from escaping.
Question #11: What became of our honorary Redshirt Cat? Killed, Robot, or something else?
That's what I'd like to know. I'm a sucker for expanding Minor characters' backstories.
Question #12: Where did Sonic procure that spy orb?
I don't know when he picked it up, but likely he snagged one after he found out Cat was gone.
Support for this is he tells Robotnik the StealthBots' destruction was for Cat.
Question #13: Finally, since when is sabotaging four stealthbots such a big victory and recompense for a lost comrade? (Cat) What's stopping Robotnik from just building more and doesn't it stand to reason that he has more that just four of them?
Five. Sonic killed one on his own.
Likely because the Freedom Fighters did defeat all 5, Robotnik deemed their design inferior to their intended purpose so decided to not waste time remaking what the Freedom Fighters already could defeat.
One of the things that led to the shows cancelation was due to a lower budget, competition from WB, FOX, Disney and Marvel, and a new President that didnt support the show. IF SatAM had a higher budget and the backing it deserved/needed, how much better would SatAM have faired.
I really don't think a higher budget would've made that much of a difference; the new ABC programme director had it in for the show, heck if you listen to Ben Hurst they were getting ready for a third season when they pulled the rug out from under them.
To be honest I think a better time slot that it didn't share with other "hot" shows and if it wasn't preempted so often by sports programming would've helped out more. But like I said, it sounded like the new management had it in for it anyway.
Considering ABC has had a history of Canceling Shows when they don't meet the head director's "popularity standards" it isn't surprising.
If the show requires effort to make, it isn't worth funding unless it's the most popular show out there. That's just the way they rolled.
Many shows such as the 1960's Batman, Sonic SatAM, and even Gargoyles, were all canned because they weren't popular yet have huge followings. Why? Because ABC doesn't like to spend money to keep their shows running. Effort is just too expensive.
What became of Muttski and why didn't Sonic ever mention his beloved pet again? Now, I know this was covered in the comic, but I'm talking about SatAM here, which leads me to question three.
Remember it was pure chance that they Ran into Uncle Chuck when they did. It's likely Sonic and Co just haven't found where Muttski is positioned.
Question 3:
Sonic is able to break through to his dog quite easily for a short time and even mentions running him back through the robotisizer to make him normal again. Why was Sonic able to break through to his pet so easily? Is it because of his animal intelligence gives him some sort of semi-immunity that the sentient Mobians don't have? And what of this easy way of just sending a Robian back through the Robotisizer; why was it not revisited later?
It was revisited later. Uncle Chuck learns to fight it on his own as well. Muttski just being a non-mobian Dog likely had a stronger will to obey his master at the time, but lost it when he got after he stopped desiring to make Sonic happy.
Alternatively, Sonic was able to trick the Computer into thinking he was Robotnik in the episode Sonic and Sally. It could be Muttski was following orders which at the time allowed him to act as his former self. However his Robotic program took back over when it realized it wasn't Robotnik giving orders.
Question 4:
Now this one really goes for most of the episodes. If you notice in almost every episode you see rats scurrying about; what's up with that? Are the rats real or are they robots themselves? If they are real, then why has Robotnik left them alone, or maybe the rats are immune to robotization?
What about the Giant Robot Rats that were attacking Grif (Griff?) and his group? Likely Robotnik is Roboticizing them, but like regular folks, doesn't have the time or patience to get them all so they keep multiplying.
Question 5:
Robitnik makes some sort of a chemical like a super Agent Orange that will kill vegetation immediately on contact and has his Buzz Bombers attempt to drop them on The Great Forest. Why did Robotnik never try using this chemical again?
Likely the chemical was in short supply or was difficult to obtain or make. Robotnik probably could afford the time or patience. Also since only the Buzzbombers were using it, it's likely too dangerous for the regular SWATbots to carry.
Question 6: All of his non Robian robotic minions seem to have a will of their own and are shown even disobeying his orders. Now, other than in Harmonic Sonic I cannot think of another instance where robots seemed to have a form of free will, why was this changed for the rest of the series?
Sure they do. Before Mentioned Computer in Sonic and Sally was afraid of getting hurt thus accepted Sonic's threats as proof enough he was Robotnik. Also the SWATbots complain about the Radar/Sonar/Mobian Detection Device was always on the fritz and ignore investigating. If they had no free will, wouldn't they always investigate?
Even the intro has one take off running from the wall of water. Apparently they can at least fear.
Likely they never went into it, so the viewers wouldn't become too attached to the SWATbots, and feel bad when they were killed off.

I disagree. As much as I like SatAM, I am also a fan of the game series, and I think they have a common enough middle ground to meet upon. What they should do for an "American" Sonic comic, is stop trying to match the world to the games, and start changing the game elements to match their world.
Easier said than done. What changes in the games would you suggest to make the worlds mesh better?
If I had to guess, they should still call Eggman "Robotnik" and refer to Earth as "Mobius", right?
I don't mean change the games, but rather mesh characters to fit in the SatAM or Archie world, and stop trying to update each time a game comes out.
Basically establish a canon and then edit the objects to fit that.
I don't believe she is. However she does tend to lean on the lucky side and things tend to go her way and she tends not to make mistakes.
Now the reason for this is because she quadruple checks her work, plans very carefully, and Sonic tends to save the day anyways. Read the comic or watch the show you'll see she makes mistakes, has her own problems, and is very much not a Mary Sue.
