on*

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

What will you do when Sonic finally ends?

Since it was brought up, about M25YL. While I hated Sonic's complaining, I admit it is realistic. I have never been married, but having observed marriages I am sure many married people go though times when they are not happy in their marriage. That is where committment comes in. Unhappy as Sonic was, he was totally miserable without Sally and the kids and went back to Sally when he had the chance which gave me some satisfaction as a Sonic and Sally fan.

Can you do something besides be a "me too" in discussions?

I didn't see it as realistic. For one thing Ian butchered the logic of the M:25YL story and it isn't plausible in the slightest. For one thing Lara-su disappeared before Sonic was transported to the new timeline. SUDDENLY she's alive an unaffected. And Tails whipped out some plot device without even being alerted there was a problem in the first place. WTF...

I couldn't see M:25YL happening anyway, Sonic said he agreed to be king because he hadn't known the duties and responsibilities would take him from what he likes to do. Well 134 has made him very aware of the sacrifice he'd have to make so M:25YL couldn't happen. I'm not arguing "realism" I'm just saying it was an immensely boring lackluster enviornment. An action adventure character thrown into a world of politics slumber parties and belching contests. I'm saying that I as a reader didn't find that at all entertaining. Second yeah he misses his kids but they're gone and he's already chosen the fast lane over Sally and still seems to want to go back.

What's wrong with political stories? I'm sure the political backdrop of the Great War has the potential to be exceedingly interesting.

If Sonic ends, I'd probably take off my pants and do the no pants dance. And probably laugh hard at the distraught fans.

You're not wrong for liking it per se. But, given the genre, expecting all the fans to like it is a far stretch at best. This is also not the way most fans wish to interpret Sonic, nor does he feel adequate in this lifestyle.

I'l look back at the good old comics and then move on to another obsession. Maybe Death Note, Twilight, or Ender Wiggin.

actually I see much more story potential for Sonic in terms of fan works when it's over. No needing to keep updating fics for accuracy and junk.

Most fans wish to interpret Sonic as a shallow, hotheaded fool living an itinerant lifestyle in search of 'adventure'. Then again, most fans are dumb.

Sonic--not just the titular character--has the potential to be far more complex than that. Julian's entire backstory revolved around politics and war, and it was quite intriguing. If you are in favor of scrapping the inclusion of political drama, then you might as well be an Ian fangirl, seeing as to how he seems to agree with the sentiment that the series should pander more to mindless action aficionados.

Indeed.... back to the topic at hand before ye old debate war breaks out.

I'd be kind of shocked that it could actually end, and be a bit sad; I've been with Sonic since forever. I'd move on, remembre the good times and enjoy what Sonic stuff I got.

It would be sad. But memories last for ever.

It doesn't end. There's no universe that can escape the Archie one. Sonic will be there even if he has to face oblivion if he hasn't done so many times already.

Sonic will take Mario down with him if he has to go. Then there will be room for the rise of Antoine in his own comic and games!
