@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

As for more Snively lines -- if the two additional skits still don't quite do it for you, I can probably do a quick-and-dirty recording of the audition lines either tomorrow night or the next. In any case, thanks for the feedback.

Again, great recordings mate. I could listen to your Robotnik all day pissing myself laughing. Anyhoo I think we'll just have you do Snively with the lines here as well - and Robotnik too - if you don't mind. Snively sounds good in your recordings above but your bloody Robotnik keeps interrupting him! Hard to get a good feel for him (no pun intended, unless you're Ali).

Could you do another reading of him that's not as strong on the accent? A little less stiff.

The stiffness was really from my trying to sound as much like the originals as possible, so not done with this batch. More Rotor and Snively, with some Naugus and King thrown in.
Cheers!

HEY Y'ALL

I'm here because Joan-Michele requested that I try out for Sally. I'm not a huge fan of Sonic, but I know who's who. This means I'm not influenced by the cartoon, which is both a good and a bad thing.

I'm pretty shy about this, so this probably isn't the BEST I can do... but here you are anyway. One-liners are the most difficult; as said, no context. Also, sorry about the birds -- if I get the role, I'll move them somewhere where they can't make background noise.

Thank you for your Audition, Kaye. And thank your birds for me as well, they put in an equally good effort.;] You came across a bit too rushed me thinks - is the only critique I can come up with. Perhaps if you slowed it down a touch to really speak the lines instead of just saying them. I do completely understand what you mean by any real depth missing from small one liners, and I like your voice, which is why we'll put yours along side Lena's for final auditions at a (hopefully) not so far away date. They will consist of an actual scene to really get your chops wet.

Jimmy! That Snively was much better, you actually sounded like you were enjoying yourself much more with it. And as far as I'm concerned you're automatically hired for Naugus (without the pay of course). It was fucking scary excellent! Not so much with King Acorn I'm sorry to say mate. You have a comedians voice working for you here, and in each Acorn line you did it just sounded like you were working towards a punchline. It took away the seriousness of it, I hate to say. I dare anyone to try and beat your Naugus though.

Thanks for putting yours up, Hazy. You and Jimmy will have to duke it out over that role when final readings come along me thinks; you both seem to have a good handle on the character. And the duking will be to the death of course. In the Thunderdome. In bikinis.

Oh And Jimmy? I've gone ahead and edited the majority of the lines you wrote up into the audition parts. It really fleshes out each role that bit more now, thank you. :]

Yeh, rather than try for Snively that time, I just settled into my "nervous guy" voice. I've used it in a few stage plays before, so I'm much more practiced and at ease with it.

Many thanks. Need to find some sort of wind-break for the mic, tho' . . . breathing like that caused a fair bit of distortion, especially in the last one.

QUOTE

That's called "being a smarmy bastard", which I've always kind of seen the King as being. I'd have thought you at least would know all about being a smarmy bastard.

Oh ho!

EPIC BATTLE dun dedundedun dedun dun daaaaaaaah dun dedundedun dedun dun daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

. . . guess this means I actually need to download and listen to Hazy's audition sometime today, so as to best figure how to crush him mercilessly!

No problem. I really wrote 'em toward that purpose in the first place, trying to get at least a small spread of the different emotions that define each character.

I'm all quote-box-happy today, it would seem.
Cheers!

Oh your Robotnik is bloody good, Zacharus. It's not a Jim Cummings copy, you give the role your own voice that, as far as I'm concerned, has just as much Robotnik-ish to it that brings him to his evil self. *Thumbs up*

And once again Jimmy will find himself fighting it off for a role. This time with Zacharus for Snively.

Ok so John will be gone for the next few weeks. But Keep getting in your auditions. I'm going to see about writting up a few of the second takes as well. More paragraphed and longer lines.

Well have either of you asked THEM about it? If they want to audition we'd prefer they demonstrate their interest by coming here and doing so themselves.

Really? I actually thought that these dubs were REALLY good and almost spot on. Not perfect mind you but definitely the best I've heard. Althought it's not my call I think if this guy showed interest in auditioning he would have a great chance of getting the role. But, everyone has their own opinion I guess.
