A glass hammer would break easily.

A glass hammer is like a lead balloon. Not a good material for the object's design, which's where the comparison comes in. The point was that a wooden cotter pin would be as equally impractical.

Wow, this show was funnier than I remember it...

This could have been a much lamer joke if the artists and actors hadn't played it so well, but I liked the cast's reaction to Sonic's request to fly in "Sonic and the Secret Scrolls." Antoine screaming, Bunnie biting her fingers and looking more frightened than she ever did while facing Robotnik's guns, Sally hanging on to the dashboard, etc.

There's enough good over the undiserable elements to single some out. In fact, I remember Sonic crying more vividly than anything else, then Robotisization, then the FF's, et.,.

Many of the jokes especially Sonic's ingenious ones.

SatAM's certainly had it's funny moments, but here's one that always bugged me...

In one episode, (I believe No Brainer) Sonic heads back to Robotropolis for a chili dog. What he finds is in fact a ratty old looking vending machine (obviously pre-war) which he proceeds to bash on ala Fonzie and retreive a 10 year old chili dog. He then stuffs the aged wiener down his throat with no ill consequences. Shouldn't he have gotten food poisioning at least?

Anyone noticed this in Blast to the Past part II?

Sonic and Sally are captured by SWATbots and put in their cell.
Sally: 'Sonic, we have to get the kids out! If they're robotocized...'
Sonic (smiling at the camera): 'Then we'll be robots too!'
Sally: 'Worse... we won't exist...'
Sonic: 'Won't exist... like in not alive and kicking?'
Sally (very soft and flatly): 'Precisely'.

The way she sais that last word always cracks me up, but you'll have to hear it yourself to understand. She knows they're in big trouble and Sonic's being an idiot about it, but she doesn't make it a big deal out of it. I noticed the voice acting was, for some reason, very good in the later episodes of the series.

I love that part, cracks me up every time.
