@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Another month...another 2 Sonic comics that I don't care about...

I do like the reference to Rotor's prototype name...I suppose that's worth mentioning...

Anti Mobius? This wouldn't have anything to do with Ian's attempts to write Evil Sonic out of the story by sending him back to his own zone would it? I wouldn't be surprised. To be honest, I actually liked Scourge and we've got lamer villians we could get rid of, namely Mammoth Mogul. At least Scourge wouldn't overshadow Eggman and it makes my skin crawl that Mogul can be a godmodding calculating sort of guy to replace Julian and to seem more competent than whatever Robotnik we have left. Every other comic its Mogul.

Granted its a bit dissapointing that Scourge had to be a hedgehog, had to be another evil incarnation of Sonic and all (he was around way before Shadow, and perhaps even metal Sonic though). But at least the cassonova nature is a little interesting every now and then, and made him someone I could tolerate on an occassional basis. I think of Bean, Bark, Mammoth Mogul and the other list of villians, Scourge was a villian who did bear some potential. Since Scourge arrived in the comic he's perhaps one of the ONLY villians granted *gasp* character development through his dynamic with Rouge! For some reason it was like the Sonic and Sally pairup only it was developed from start to finish, and we actually got to see Scourge a guy rough around the edges and pretty much only looking out for himself grow to care about Rouge and develop some form of compassion. We were actually seeing some character development until Ian ripped it to shreds by making Scourge totally forget about Rouge whom he considered "the best (didn't he say forget the rest once he saw Rouge so why's he paired with someone else)" so he could have a poorly developed (and perhaps OOC) relationship with Fiona who was probably shoved on him for no other reason than to leave Sonic open for Sally. Its boring and Scourge has little to no respect for her. For goodness sake Fiona/Scourge is the most rushed and poorly developed pairup since Ash/Mina.

if we dispose of characters because the villian count is getting so high then why make Fiona a villian in the first place (oh yeah, SonSal riiight), and why not get rid of duex ex machina, godmodding pests like Mogul. Digging up the potential for Scourge would be difficult, but I don't think it'd be as bad as me having to deal with Mogul. The fact he's not on the top of the list for removal is an insult to villany. But anyway, its also nice to see Sally is as OOC as ever. They were better off leaving her hair long. To be honest, its hard to imagine Sally making expressions like someone whose lost all sense. I guess at this point she'd have to be a nutbag in order to run around trying to be a feild leader as heir to the throne and unnecessary to the movement. Because Freedom Fighting is sooo like going to the movies with yer girlfriends at 9 pm. I like I don't go then it shall hurt my social life. Liek peer pressure OMG! It's just sad. If Sally beleives its okay to jepordize her life and kingdom to hang out with friends then she's fit to be neither a ruling figure or leader, or tactician to the freedom fighters. I have to admit in the end the Sonic X cover wins. I always like how well its colored it almost looks like it came straight out the show and Spaz does a good job with it. If I didn't like Sonic X I'd probably have picked it up a few months ago.

Wait?
What's this!?

I didn't know Spaz was a Bean fanboy and I immediately began wondering if Ian were writing the stories. Normally Spaz would settle for sticking his self insert in the comic and be done with it. What a coinkydink.

Maybe it would've looked a bit better if Spaz colored it? It looks like it was quickly colored and then given a quick burn and dodge in photoship (well at least for the characters).

*whispers* Two words: Sonic Selects....

Anyway...Go Big! Crush Chris so that we may never have to see him in another issue. If Big actually DID kill Chris in a canon ball I'd have the very page made poster size and buy two copies. Chris is like an annoying big, fat annoying fly that wants to stay in the front of the picture and ruin it. At least Tommy was becoming a background character. I don't think you could shove Chris to the background...forever unless you sorta..killed him or something.

Since we are returning to Anti-Mobius, I wonder if we will get to see "good" Julian? If we do I wonder if he will look like "Julian" and not like Eggman. Because, as you know, younger readers cannot recognize Julain as the past Robotnik...

As of the Super Sonic Special with the Sonic Underground adaptation, he was redesigned to look more like Fleetway's version of Kintobor.

The cover to #189 is actually a modern version of a classic sonic comic with the Freedom Fighters on it. I don't recall the issue# (maybe 54 or something) but that is what first stuck out in my mind.

Isn't the point of a remake (in this type of situation) usually to try and make a BETTER version? Or at least a halfway decent homage.

All I can say is a hope to god that's not a new Bunnie design (look at her feet!) it's embarrassing.
"I really think of life as a great expression of joy. And if you take yourself seriously you're going to be defeated I'm afraid.
...Maybe that is the whole recipe of life, is to be in on the joke. Because life is a joke and if you're not in on it you're out.
But if you're in on it, you can make it." - Vincent Price

Yardley just draws her as if she were a game character, thus big hands and feet.

Yeah, I agree with Miko. There's a good chance Ian will probably send Scourge back to his zone, which I think is a shame because this tends to happen with relatively every character with a lick of potential. They should've just left him as Rouge's partner and been done with it.

And don't get me started on #189's cover. Sally looks like a rabid squirrel and I agree with whoever commented on Bunnie's feet. I don't know why the heck Rotor's on the book (shouldn't he be on the counsil?), and I hope to God that the coloring on that cover is NOT the final.

I like how Antoine is running right towards the edge of that wall, with a sharp object in hand, no less

Bunnie's feet. Ghastly!

What, or who, exactly...is the 'Supression Squad'?

Speaking as a guy who hasn't kept up with the comics, I'm guessing it's a name eventually thought up for the FF's leather-clad bizarro-world alter-egos. "Freedom Fighters"/"Suppression Squad." Get?

I must say that despite the rest of the ugliness I rather like Rotor's "actual ferocious walrus" face.

My only thoughts on this is that Dimitri should slap Eggman across the face repeatedly with his tentacles for renaming his group. I mean, Dark Egg Legion? Come on!
