@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Hi, I'm new here! In case anyone's interested, here's a little background on me.

I'm 28 this saturday, but I've only recently discovered Sonic Satam. Sadly, the show wasn't aired in my country in the 90s, so I missed it completely. I loved Sonic games on Megadrive/Genesis back in the day, played them through and through. At the time I only saw a couple of episodes of "Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog", which I thought was ok, but I wasn't impressed much. I didn't really care for Sonic content ever since - tried a couple of 3d games, but only really played Sonic Rivals on PSP. As for cartoon shows, I was alienated by the newer design styles, massive amount of new characters and Sega's obsession with making every character look supercool and edgy and stuff.

A couple of weeks ago Doug Walker (Nostalgia Critic, That guy with the glasses) released a video with him and his brother discussing both early 90s shows. He praised Satam so much, I just had to go and watch it. I'm at the beginning of 2nd season right now, but I have to say - that's one of the best shows I've ever seen in my life! It would have made such lovely childhood memories if only I could see it back then. I also read a short summary of Archie comics, which I plan to read, but, to be honest, I love Satam character designs and personalities (especially Sally) so much, that I'm not looking forward to Sonic rejecting the marriage with Sally, Sally almost marrying Antoine, attempts to kill Sally, her robotization, personality and design changes, etc...

TLDR: Just discovered Satam and fascinated by it. Absolutely love Sally, support Sonally. :het: Nice to meet you!  :sally:

Welcome aboard the crazy train. You don't have to be insane to have a good time, here, but I've found that it really helps a lot. :evo:

A word of advice: Try not to use the black font color. It doesn't show up well on the black board skin. Leaving the font color on "automatic" works best, but bright colors can draw attention to certain words, if you really need to draw attention to them.

Projection: If Intruder Organsim reaches civilized areas...

I can fix it if it happens

Thank you for coming to FUS! You are everything right with the Sonic fandom. To go and watch SatAM years later and become a Sally fan after the fact. You, sir, get Sally and we appreciate that.

Once you finish watching SatAM, and find yourself at the infamous cliffhanger of season 2, jump on over here for Sonic Sea3on. I encourage you to finish SatAM first before you read the comic. Spoilers. Big big spoilers. xD

Hi guys! =) Yeah, Sally is where it's at!  :wub_anim:

I've already started reading comics (issues 1-4, the plot is not quite where I want it to be yet) and lots of info on behind-the-scenes of Satam, its writers and stuff. Still only 2/13 of season 2 though. Don't want to expend all the fun in one go! Noticed there's Sea3on project, will definitely check it out when I finish s2. Is it based on Ben Hurst's s3 script? Has he even made it public? He sure did promise to...

Don't know why there was a special font in my post, I didn't choose any and it looked normal on my screen. Maybe copypasting stuff from my validating thread is the cause...

Yeah, man, Sea3on is based on Ben's notes. Not to every detail, but definitely uses his notes as our guideline. Sea3on is written by our residential Gojira. (He's a beast) It sticks very close to the original show.

Sweet! Does it have a story arc of Sally flirting (?) with someone other than Sonic? Is it a Ben Hurst squirrel, the species most compatible with Sally? =) He mentioned that in his 2005 IRC chat with fans.

Nice to meet you too, Nightmus.  Welcome to FUS ^.^

I loved Sonic 3 + Sonic & Knuckles; don't care much about the newer games tho'.

I was alienated by the newer design styles, massive amount of new characters and Sega's obsession with making every character look supercool and edgy and stuff.

Yeah, I'm not thrilled about that stuff either.

Subtract 1 from each number - it becomes "too edgy for me".

Finished watching season 2. They've saved the best for last - the last episodes are extra awesome! I love Satam!   :het:

I have only two complaints. First is about 2 episodes with short stories, they feel like a completely different cartoon. The one with no progression and meta-story. Ghost busted was ok though. No hard feelings, I know they were forced by DIC or whatever superiors. Second, the writers should've downplayed Antoine's fear and clumsiness a bit. He has his moments, but overall his thing is overcoming his fears for the greater purpose. I feel he should've had some unique skills, so that there was a purpose to bring him on the missions. Even something like creative thinking would work - he could come up with clever ideas on the spot, improvise, but still be unreliable due to fear and be clumsy/boasting/accent for comic relief. Or he could be paranoidally cautious, leading to annoying the group, yet noticing even the most elaborate of ambushes. Sort of like being a coward, but at the same time constantly obsessed by keeping Sally safe. Also I liked that he was in love with Sally and jealous of Sonic, but he could be a little bit more serious about it. Like when he's startled by something and finds himself in Sally's arms, it's in no way an excuse to flirt with her. Then again, him being more serious might've led to some particularly uncomfortable situations of being rejected and legitimately sad. It may have been a conscious decision to leave those feelings only implied, a broken heart covered with comic relief.

I agree that season 2 was overall the best. But yeah, I'd say my personal gripes were with the shorts as well as Rotor's redesign, and Dulcy's inclusion. Not that that's a very unique stance. Otherwise, though, gold.
