That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

Note: "Please limit your vote to one per person."  Judging by the goodwill and honesty of internet folks, I am confident no one will violate this rule.

 

I voted for "Dr. Eggman." You should too!! I mean, think about it, that would be pretty awesome.

 

Other options to consider: Metal Sonic and Amy Rose.  (I want to smash people with the hammer!!!!)

 

I sent a news tip to TSSZ News about this, but they ignored it. The fools! I even created a Yahoo.com email account just so I could send it, since they apparently can't take tips from Gmail accounts.

 

So yeah, spread the word! Unless no one on here cares about Smash Bros., lol.

More than one is overdoing it. 

 

Sonic himself makes sense because he helped SEGA rival Nintendo, so he's part of Nintendo's history.

I guess that was my original attitude. It would have been maybe uncalled for to put another Sonic character into the original game... But I don't know, I guess since this is DLC anyway, it doesn't have the same feeling of, This is Official, Holy Lineup of Super Smash Bros. Characters; so I was like, what the heck, I wanna play as Robotnik.  :D

With people voting for characters such as ShovelKnight who has relatively no Nintendo history, no Nintendo system exclusives, I don't really see why we couldn't have more Sonic Characters. Sonic has plenty of Nintendo exclusive games, been around for years, and with Mario and sonic at the Olympic Games have the cast has appeared in a Mario game before.

 

My thing is that adding characters like that is that it takes away from what the point of Smash is. it's not just video games in general, it's Nintendo. 

 

Sonic made sense because he was used to rival Nintendo. Mega Man was considered just as big of a part of Nintendo's history as Mario or Link. Pac-Man was the first identifiable character to lay the ground work for the type of games Nintendo makes.

 

i could argue Simon Belmont should be in Smash for the same reasons as Mega Man, and Shovel Knight because he's a representation of the fact that people are still loud fans of the classic NES games. 

 

Of course my argument's thrown out the window when I remember I've personally voted for Rayman and Shantae.
