Mobian Freedom Fighters: Bloodlands
The World of Mobius has never been a peaceful place. Throughout time wars have ravaged the planet. From the Great Wars of the Past, to the current tyrannical regimes, to the future fallouts of previous battles, Mobius may never know true peace. The land known as the Bloodlands is a testimony to this, as many battles and deaths have taken place upon its soils.
The Year is 3235. Mobius fights an ongoing war against the mechanical genius and ruthless tyranny of Doctor Ivo Robotnik. Robotnik controls nearly all of the planet, save for a few free spots.
The United Overlander Nations, is one of these spots. Here the humanoids that call themselves “Overlanders” Unite under the leadership of their President. Another is the vast Kingdom of Soleanna, an Independent Overlander Nation, ruled by their Monarch and worshipers of the Deity known as Solaris. The Forbidden Zone has also managed to stay out of Robotnik’s Control, for if Robotnik ever attempted to take the lands, the criminal organizations that run the place would unite and decimate his forces. As long as he bides his time and leaves them alone, the crime lords will forever fight amongst themselves until the time is right.
There are also many small nations of Freedom Fighters, organized by the Mobians who struggle to sabotage Robotnik at every turn. The Knothole Freedom Fighters, Wolf Pack, and Brotherhood of Guardians are only some of these groups. Recently the Knothole Freedom Fighters and the Wolf Pack have formed an alliance with many of these groups, in hopes to push back Robotnik’s dominion.
Recently however there has been an uprising. Robotnik’s forces in the Bloodlands have been completely decimated, and the surrounding areas have been consumed by violent war. Could a new Freedom Fighter Group have risen out of Robotnik’s Control? Have his machines gone haywire and rebelled or been reprogrammed?
Or is much worse than that?
Now anyone and everyone are sending in teams to find the answers. You too shall be sent in to find the answers of the mysterious blow against Robotnik’s Empire. But be warned, danger lurks around every turn, rivalries will be put to rest and renewed, alliances formed and broken.
Be wary of the dark magics, cursed technologies, and black truths of the Bloodlands, or you two may be laid to waste on the crimson stained landscape…
MFF:B is a forum based Roleplaying Game that takes place in a world mixed from elements of the Archie Sonic Comics, Sonic the Comic, Sonic SatAM, SEGA Sonic, and more. You play as one of the many agents sent into the Bloodlands to find out where the uprising came from and what you can do to help, stop, or manipulate it.
As with the original Mobian Freedom Fighters, this RPG is a bit more formal the usual FAR styled RPGs but a little more casual than RPGs like Coyote’s Challenge. My goal is to let everyone post without falling behind, however as that usually is the downfall of my previous RPGs characters who remain separate will continue on their own, and only groups will have to wait. On top of that, groups will only wait for player for two days before I move on without them UNLESS I’ve been given warnings ahead of time.
If by chance you know you won’t be able to play for some time, let me know. I will do my best to keep you caught up or give your character a PM sidequest that will keep you from being lost too far out of the loop.
For this game you can play characters from any of the following groups: (Note: I will allow up to two characters.)
- FREEDOM FIGHTERS UNITED FRONT – Characters from any of the Freedom Fighting Groups who have allied with the Wolf Pack and the Knothole Freedom Fighters to take on Robotnik. Your goal is to find the group who have risen against Robotnik in the Bloodlands and recruit them for the United Front. (You may create your own Group but ultimately the story is the same).
- INDEPENDENT FREEDOM FIGHTERS – Characters from any Freedom Fighter groups not allied with the United Front. Your goals are dependent on your specific group’s goals. (You may create your own group.)
- G.U.N. SPECIAL FORCES – Characters from the United Overlander Nations. Your goal is to analyze the uprising and decide if it poses a threat to the UON. You can play either as a Military-esque agent (example: Solid Snake-esque character) or a Secret Agent-esque Agent (example: James Bond-esque character).
- SOLEANNA SPECIAL FORCES – Characters from the Kingdom of Soleanna. Your goal is to analyze the uprising and decide if it poses a threat to the Kingdom of Soleanna. Soleanna’s agents are known as Knights. They fight with pride and honor and do not condone sneaking around or cloak-and-dagger approaches.
- CUSTOM OVERLANDER NATION – You may design your own Independent Overlander Nation. As with the Independent Freedom Fighter Groups, your goals will be based on the individual group. If they are part of UON, you will follow the UON storyline, so only Independent Custom Nations are accepted. No Overlander group uses Magic.
- BROTHERHOOD OF GUARDIANS – Agents from Angel Island. Your goal is to protect all of Mobius and Angel Island by eliminating anything that may threaten the return of Chaos or other such deities. Characters can either be Echidna Security Team members (Law Enforcement/Soldiers) or Echidna Mages (Magic wielders). Unlike other Mobians Technology and Magic don’t mix for Echidnas, so you can either wield magic or not.
- DARK LEGION – Agents from the Dark Legion on Angel Island. Your goal is to find weapons or technology or even potential allies to rid Angel Island of the Pesky Guardians. Characters are Legionaries who fight using advanced technology and powerful weapons. They have given up magic to rely on technology.
- WINTERS ORGANIZATION – Characters from the Criminal Organization known as Winters (note this is based on the one from Mobian Freedom Figthers, not the one from FAR). Their goal is to manipulate the events into their favor, regardless of the details of what is happening in the Bloodlands.
- INDEPENDENT CONTRACTER – Characters from other Criminal Organizations. As with all other Independent/Custom Groups you can design your own.
- ROBOTROPOLIS SPECIAL FORCES – Robotnik’s elite forces sent out to discover who has taken the Bloodlands from him. Characters are either Specialized Machines (example: GAMMA, OMEGA, Metal Sonic, etc) or Cyborg Commanders (example: ….uh….any of the sub-bosses from the Archie Comics. Other than that I don’t have any good examples). Can NOT betray Robotnik without assistance.
- ROBOTROPOLIS CONTRACTED BOUNTY HUNTERS – Criminal Agents contracted by Robotropolis to discover the events in the Badlands (Example: Sleet and Dingo). Characters may betray Robotnik but are at high risk of being hunted down if they do.

• Anyone from the Nocturnus Clan.
• Naugus, Mammoth Mongul, or any other 2nd Tier Villians.
• While Used as Examples, Solid Snake, James Bond, OMEGA, GAMMA, Metal Sonic, Dingo, and Sleet are all unavailable as Playable Characters. (Though you can be A Metal Sonic, just not THE Metal Sonic)

ALL IMPORTANT RULES:
1. Most of all have fun. This is supposed to be fun.
2. Be respectful. Don’t insult your other players, use offensive language, or be an otherwise troll.
3. Don’t post in the RPG without having a legitimate post for the character. If your character isn’t doing anything say so. If you need to break character post your character’s actions first or post any out of character questions, comments, concerns in this recruiting topic. Or PM me. I don’t bite. I make no promises about fire or stabbing though….
4. If your character dies, they’re dead. You can always make a new one. Heck avenging a fallen comrade or sibling is always good motivation for a new character.
5. Since this world is a mesh of various Sonic Medias, if you don’t understand something, ask. Note: Generally speaking the events of Sonic SatAM up to episode 25, Spyhog, has come to pass.
