That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

Truth be told anyone can say they're anything and as long as you don't wear your preferences on your sleeve no one would ever know. Whether you're a SonSal or SonAmy fan it doesn't really matter. Still, pairings or no the arguements you've presented are still flawed and you've yet to concede. I don't care what you're pairing prefferences are and bringing this topic back to some sense your claims are still flawed. No one's going to be making those kinds of accusations anymore so if you have anything else to contribute by all means do so

Confused why this topic about everyone's favourite singing babysitting mongoose has been moved and renamed? Go read this post and all will be revealed.

This topic is now for the discussion of how SatAM would've been had Mina Mongoose been in the show. Or how the show could possibly be if she was in a revived version of the show. To reiterate; This thread is not here for you bitch and moan about why Mina should be in Matt's (Mysterious Animator X) pitch, it is just in theory, much like the "What If Amy Rose Took Sally's Place" topic that popped up a little while ago. Anyone who continues to crusade for Mina's inclusion in Matt's pitch will receive a warning.

Sally and Sonic are the undisputed pair in this series. It took her leadership and his speed to take down Robotnik. Without Sally the FF's would never had as much strength in many area's.

I'm not going to go into details like meeting and negotiating with the wolves and stuff. Mina was designed for a different role at a different time so you 'can't' compare it after the fact and there's no way to predict with 100% accuracy the timeline of the series had Sally been someone else.

It would change the timeline of 'our' history as well in terms of producing the series, character, plush dolls, forum members of a SatAM message board, etc.,.

To really answer the question it could be something big like them getting all robotisized to Mina only dying, is there really a way to know?

Well in any case I've wanted to mention the "there's too many FFs already" arguement to why Mina couldn't work.


I think that perhaps Mina wouldn't make for an immediate shoe in to the series, she could slowly be worked in I think. Antione, Rotor and Dulcy will pretty much have no use in terms of what their abilities and personalities can contribute. Especially when Amy will pretty much have exact same dynamic to Sonic as Antione with Sally, Tails will start showing signs of gains in technology piloting and Knuckles if added as a main cast member would be the rival to Sonic that Antione was. So removing eventually 3 characters and adding Mina, Amy and Knuckles you would've had as many main characters as the show started out with anyway.

Maybe this should have been the discussion of before the show was casted. In the future I'm sure any plausible idea can work for the show ranging from another character to a different plot.

Well it's more or less a discussion of do you think she could fit, why, and where. Honestly I think that SatAM if nothing else needed a different kind of female voice. Sally, Bunnie and Dulcy never really were all that popular with female viewers. Maybe with (some) boys, but on the same token boys would prefer seeing guy characters in action then girls, thereby defeating the purpose of implimenting females. I mean, how many imported boy shows have an incredibly weak to nonexistant female voice in the series? Again because boys don't NEED to see girl characters, nor are they as indoctrined about "the power of love" to feel the show is missing something without a girl. As a girl, I was a little annoyed at the lack of other kinds of female voices.

Although a story about Mina in SatAM, even if just a fic would prove to be an interesting read if done well. I just wouldn't want to see that much of an emphasis on her "super speed" if she even had it at all.

I also think many people either have this impression or are trying to make her come off as though she's some shy wallflower whose so prudish she can't make bad decisions or act ill towards people, which is untrue even by the comic's standards. Mina's insecure sure, and perhaps if she did do something wrong, she'd consider the reprocussions of her actions but that doesn't mean she's so socially inept she can't or has a difficult time holding a decent conversation, or, despite the social considerations for "right" and "wrong" is above judging others or making poor decisions when she's frustrated/confused in the moment. Especially when her emotions get the better of her. I mean, how many times in the comics has Mina lashed out at Sonic when she was frustrated? Heck, consider how they met! Not to mention she judged and labled him in a more negative light (EVEN though he saved her) based on his more public persona before she got to know him. Sure she tried making an effort to know about Sonic when she developed a crush but the fact still stands.
