@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

I do like the reboot myself though I still like elements from the old canon. besides if you don't like it then that's your thing. it's NOT cool to call people a idiot cause you don't like it :P

NOT COOL? You don't even what you're talking about.

No it is legitimately "not cool" to call someone an idiot because their opinion differs from yours.

I for one am simply going to forget about Ken Penders and enjoy the awesome reboot. I hope you eventually do too.

Then you're an idiot for accepting the reboot. I for one won't accept it and hopefully it will come to an end.

It's his opinion, not yours. No one's forcing you to like it. If anything, THAT's idiotic.

Also, I hate to break it to you, but the comic seems to be experiencing a new wave of popularity since the reboot. Fans seem to be enjoying it more than ever.

While I will miss several elements from the old continuity, it was only a matter of time before something like this would happen. I mean, sooner or later, the comic was going to have to adress the lawsuit and/or change direction due to Sega's demands.

Not all fans enjoy the reboot. Besides, the lawsuit was a joke. I wouldn't be surprised if SEGA got sued for making these stupid changes.

But some fans do enjoy it, so the point is moot.

And while the lawsuit is a "joke", SEGA still owns Sonic and can pretty much make whatever demands they want, and Archie will have to deal with it.

I doubt Archie will put up with this any longer and may decide to demand SEGA to undo the reboot or risk getting their funding cut off.

Archie's in no position to demand anything from Sega. Archie needs Sega way more then Sega needs Archie.

Has a reboot ever been undone in the history of comics? Seems doubtful.

I think DC & Marvel retconned a few things in their many, many reboots. I dont think they were huge retcons but still pretty big

Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

Yes and no.  They've been rebooted again later that made it more similar to the previous one but...not officially changed back.

Archie will have to deal with it unless SEGA wants to take away the rights to the Sonic Characters.  SEGA owns Sonic, so they get the final say of what goes.

Even if Archie thinks it is a bad idea, they still have to listen to SEGA's demands.

And while Archie was no doubt upset when they first learned they had to do a reboot, I think they've all mentally shifted to the reboot and have no wish to switch back at this point.

Anyway, I'm glad I'm not the only one on here who likes the reboot!  :)  When I first starting reading it, I was like, ".... Well, no time like the present to stop subscribing, right?" I was especially annoyed when Action Rotor showed up...

*cue Action Rotor theme song*

But then Sally showed up, and the Sonic Unleashed adaptation started, and I was like, "Wait... This is awesome!" I've even come to like Action Rotor.

Now, when I look back at The Fourty-Fathom Freedom Fighters, Downunda, the Destructix, all the "Evil" versions of everyone, all the bajillions of modified-Knuckles, and especially *shudder* the Nerbs, I feel a sense of relief that the comic had a chance to take a much-needed shower, and I have no regrets.

No the underwater storyline was still stupid.

Don't get me wrong, I like the reboot.  But for some reason the Underwater Storyline was just......bad.

I wonder how much longer before Vlad shows up and tells us to call it a "remake" and not a "reboot", even though such a thing has never been called a remake in the history of comics.

*heart shatters*  I guess I haven't finished it yet, but I'm finding myself getting emotionally into it and stuff... Oh well, not everyone reacts the same way to everything....

I've been calling it a "reboot" because it's easy to say, but it's more like it's still the same canon, but within that canon, all of time was rewritten, lol.

A reboot changes the media's history and/or backstory.  A remake is a retelling.

I may be biased on that.  I'm not a fan of the underwater characters.

The Characters were mostly uninteresting (King and Queen), under developed (Shark and prawn/lobster), or pointlessly fixed (girl who is scared of chao), and the ending was very....bland.
