My family has a tradition of everyone buying themself one gift at Christmas. This is a little something that we indulge in, since we usually have just a little bit scraped together, thanks to lower electric bills. Do any of the rest of you do this? If so, what is or will be your gift to yourself? Mine is the Terminator 2 soundtrack.

I wanted to save my money, but I spoiled myself with a Nintendo gift card to download Mega Man 5 and 6.

Sometimes depending on what my xmas bonus is I might splurge a bit on something. Or just pack it away and take a nice vacation in the summer. I do want to hit up comic con again... So might do that this year. Mind you I also need a new truck so...Who knows.

We do that here too ^.^
I usually get a game (typically a used copy) that I wasn't sure about when it was first released. (That's how I discovered Demon's Souls.)

I've decided to extend the life of this topic a bit and include "what did you spend yor Chritmas Money On?" I got some early Chritmans money. And now I have the new Garth Brooks CD, a nice large bowey knife, and a nice mid-sized survival knife. Also, a month's worth of groceries.

I accidentally $500 worth of musical swag. Boss tuner pedal, new effects board/hardcase, pedal power supply and a fistful of 10-52 Ernie Ball strings.

I've only spent the gift cards.
On Amazon, I got the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack and Metroid Prime Hunters on DS.
On iTunes, I got the Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen soundtrack, and the iOS ports of Sonic 1 and Final Fantasy 6.

I'm pondering whether or not to buy myself an Alesis Vortex Wireless, but this would be for my career, not only a toy. I'm thinking of starting a band that plays chiptunes, and this looks like the perfect instrument to use. (Well, almost. Three octaves is a tad restrictive, but it can be worked around.)

But I got eShop money with my 100. Using that, I bought Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, Metroid Fusion, DuckTales Remastered, Shovel Knight and Duck Hunt.

Ha! I still have Mario Bros/Duck Hunt on the NES! I wouldn't ever pay for Duck Hunt alone. It's more of a mini-game than a real game.
