Set 3 years after season 4, most of the cast have moved on(aka college), except for Kamui who is now in highschool and works at the card shop. So now we have a whole new cast(most likely to get new people on board). So as usual in vanguard, every season adds a new mechanic to the game. Season 2 brought limit breaks, season 3 brought break riding, season 4 brought Legions(which the english format won't be getting till late this year), and now we have Striding.

This is the stride mechianic ruling in english. While we won't be getting cards from Vanguard G for while(they still have to get though season 4) we will get a Stride unit as a Promo in teh next booster set in December that can be used with any deck. It's been out in japan for a while but hasn't been tourament legal yet.

Everyone was talking about this at the card shop today, along with the stride and G Assist mechanics and how it's going to really change the game.

 

Also it looks like bushiroad has come out and said that the english edition of the G series cards will be out starting Feb/march next year.
