@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Ian Flynn and Patrick “SPAZ” Spaziante said the following

When the worlds of Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man collided in the pages of Archie Action comics, readers, fans and retailers made it the biggest crossover event in Archie Action history,” he said in a prepared statement. “That historic crossover storyline changed the comic book worlds of Sega and Capcom’s iconic video game characters forever, but now an even bigger event is on the horizon. You saw what happened when worlds collided, now see what happens when Words Unite! And this time, no universe will be safe…”

Well, there goes three or four issues of the main comic and Universe that I'll be ignoring.... Seriously, are they trying to turn readers away from the comic?

No need to worry. The second crossover is going to be its own series of issues, so there'll be no interruptions.

Also, it appears that it won't interrupt the current story-arc, since the shattered Mobius also appears on the crossover cover.

Then I have no problem with it.

My biggest issue with the last crossover is it went on too long as an interruption of the main story on both Mega Man and Sonic.  If they kept it to Universe I wouldn't care much because honestly I haven't been caring much about Universe anyways lately.

But a crossover event like this should have it's own special issues. That way those who are invested in the main story aren't put on hold for the crossover and those only interested in the crossover still have a jumping on point if needed.

Also to anyone whom might be upset by the another crossover so soon, Marvel comics crossover about 4-5 times a year.

I'm sure that Sally and her freedom fighters will be in the crossover story... are they? :/

It hasn't been confirmed yet, but from the looks of things, it's certainly possible. And if that's the case, we may also get the Archie-exclusive "Mega Man" characters, like Quake Woman and Gilbert Stern, in on the action as well.

I can’t help but wonder what “Worlds Unite” means though. Could both universes be merging together somehow? If so, will it be blending their continuities? Or will it be like DC/Marvel’s “Amalgam” series, we're all elements were combined into one? Or perhaps both worlds will be forced to team together to fight an even larger threat? Who knows?

My guess is this will be a spin off so it wont interrupt the series going on now where everything is temp. combined into one and they both have to face off against X villian, which i'm assuming its Willy and Robotnik Eggman again

Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

Officially yes.

I wanna see how well Flynn will juggle 4 timelines instead of two

Since Ian's a fan himself, I ponder if he's going to drop references to the storm within the fandom that Boom's caused.

If nothing else, I request Sonic make fun of Boom Sonic's sports tape as "bandages" or the like, only to be corrected.

I don't see how this is a good idea. Sonic Boom is a cast of jokey-joke silly characters who are going to be mixing with a kind of serious war period X lives in.

They don't seem that uneven to me. I mean, the "Boom" series has had its share of serious moments, and likewise, the MMX series has its sillier moments.

Even then, it's still bound to be interesting considering the mixes of entirely different tones each series presents. You have the more serious series (Mega Man X and Archie Sonic) mixing with more light-hearted series (Classic Mega Man and Sonic Boom). That seems like a pretty fair playing-field if you ask me.

The hell you talking about. The last episode had everyone with Eggman mustaches.

Yeah, and SatAM had Antoine get traumatized over a serving of margarine on escargot. Your point was...?

"Boom", despite being a comedy-driven series, has had a few serious moments. Nearly all of "Rise of Lyric" was presented in a much more serious narritive, and the first episode of the series had a tender scene of Sonic rescuing Tails from his plane crash. They're not the main focus, but they're there to give the series some semblance of reality.

The fact that game was made is a comedy in itself. But no, your wrong again. There is no seriousness in any of it. Its all a big joke. Nothing matters in any of it. They don't even take Lyric seriously who is supposed to be the straight villain.

You must have a different memory of the game than I do, because I don't recall Lyric ever being played for laughs in the games. Out of the whole cast, he's the only one treated like the serious threat which he presents.

Compared to Lyric, SatAM Robotnik had more jokes and gags catered towards him. The bits with him getting flustered or upset, the verbal abuse from Snively, and the many times different characters commented about his overweight body. You also had that out-of-place, "Ren & Stimpy"-style closeup scene with Snively sticking his entire head into his mouth.
