@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

This is The End...

No more Saturday Morning Cartoons :(

I'm sure most of you heard this rumor.. The main TV Networks will not air Saturday Morning Cartoons.. Because well, some said the FCC wants the U.S. government to air like live-action education programs for kids and teens to learn things in our true culture... really? Can the parents or tecahers do that instead?? Also, some said that basic cable is partially the blame or Netflix... who knows.

And I'm gonna miss watching Saturday Morning Cartoons over the years since I was a toddle. I have fun memories watching cartoon shows. :) Every time I start to wake up in the morning like around 7 or 8, I just get too exited and acted like a kid again. And also Sonic SatAM were part of the Saturday Morning generations and I'm thankful for that.

Check it this site if some of you don't believe me:

There's always Netflix and watching Cartoons on Saturday Morning

So all those kids whose parents don't wanna pay for Netflix and the like are the only ones screwed and those of us who do look like jerks.

Also on that note: since when did educational programs attract audiences? Last I checked most teens turn away from educational programming.

Hopefully, the education programs will be entertaining ones. Stuff like "Schoolhouse Rock" and "The Magic Schoolbus" were fun shows to watch, as well as "Seseme Street".

Though considering the fact that these shows are now old, I have a feeling they'll be airing newer shows instead. Can you think of any good educational shows in recent years? Not really.

I don't. Nor Hulu, or prime. I just occasionally borrow Arekkisu's to watch avatar.

I wouldn't be surprised if the FCC get backlashed by people who want Saturday Morning Cartoons to continue.

And private Youtube is all but free. The FCC is just another worthless government group that needs to make up excuses to exist on our tax-money we could be using to invest in our children's life in ways we deem fit for them as individuals (also look at Captain Planet...that show made me want to stab polar bears to death with a spoon.)

Also, what does it mean by 'educational' - things we want our kids to know, or what the Federal Goverment thinks we should know? I mean this is the government you voted for America:

Do you want these nuts teaching your children...with your tax money?

And what's with this myopic bifurcation between "educational television" and cartoons - cartoons can give us a better perspective than any stale and chalk-dusted classroom-esque syndication ever could. Cartoons can engage children, and the engaged learn and appropriate through experience while those being schooled forget something right after they take a test over it. Heck, I dare think video games can even teach children language, culture, history, creativity, and the scientific method. The Prussian 1800's model of public "schooling"  is a throw back idea kept alive my naive and shadey bureaucrats who have to justify their paychecks, illogical worldviews, and half-brained schemes - why should we let them control our kid's free time as well?  Just ask any neurologist and they will tell you children learn through active interaction rather than passive retention in the first place. You need something riveting and thought provoking for them to actually retain something - and a great way to do that is through unpatronizing and exciting cartoons they can watch on their off time.

The FCC should be cracking down on pedophiles on social media sites, censoring child pornography and exhibitionism, and things actually worth upkeeping like net-neutrality and devising open sources for the internet for all Americans - not this crap.

Exactly. Who in the heck wants to watch that junk on PBS anyways when you got Youtube, a Roku, ect.  Public-muddled and over-regulated TV is all but dead. private avenues have killed it. It can't compete.

For one show that is no longer on TV.  Does it really count if I use it to watch a show that is off air?  Everything else I watch is right off the TV.

My parents refuse to buy Netflix because they don't want the extra costs, and they're happy with whats on already.

I noticed the dearth of what I would call Saturday morning cartoons recently, but the local station used to still show at least some shows. Now, my wife tells me, even that has gone away.

Damn the Leviathan of the US Government and its constant war on liberty via executive fiat. Edutainment, with very few exceptions, SUCKS! It tries too hard to educate that it forgets to tell a damn story or do anything that will keep a kid's attention for over 10 minutes. And even the educational benefit is questionable -- after all, what the heck do they think kids are doing the rest of the week!? And I don't know about you, but I don't remember ever watching "teen" shows. By the time I got old enough to graduate from cartoons, I was watching whatever my parents did.

My ISP charges me an arm and a leg to use for than 50 GB/mo, I think. You know how quickly 50 GB evaporates when using Hulu or Netflix or any other video service? Insane!

NO! Little kids can't watch Looney Tunes or Sonic for free on the local airwaves; its dangerous! But let them learn how to use a dildo and condom before they even grow pubic hair! That is the mark of an enlightened society.

I am sure no pay-to-play media provider lobbies were involved in the crafting of this strategy at all!

Next thing you know they will ban private wells for drinking water. "Only water you buy from this government-licensed provider is safe for consumption. Just think of the kids! It's for the kids!"

Well, *obscene gesture* toward you, government that has nothing better to do than to watch naked photos of granny and feel up prepubescent girls at airports and look for ways to intrude into every little detail of my daily life (its not like there are psychos out there raping and eviscerating innocents by the thousands, or any flesh-liquifying epidemics out there), I am going to buy every uncensored Looney Tune, Tex Avery, and other Saturday morning and syndicated cartoon I can find and *gasp* watch it with my kids, and their kids, assuming by then parents even get to keep their own kids.

I love my God, my wife, my 5 kids, and I like my guns, my beer, my whiskey, and my pickup.

I dislike politicians, policemen, diet foods, no-smoking signs, and mowing the lawn.

I like Sonic games from the Genesis days, tolerate the Sonic Adventure series, can stomach Sonic Heroes, and can't stand the rest.

And there is only one true story of Sonic, SatAM.

I feel a bit sad too.

Recently my government's version of the FCC in Indonesia tried banning "Tom and Jerry" and "Spongebob" for not only "not educating" children, but also somewhat taught them about violence, obscene behavior, that sort of crud.

This causes an outrage in fans in my country who has been watching them for A LONG TIME, causing them to fight back, sending "please save" requests or threats.

People just saw the bad things in life, way too many bad things in life.

I mean, for one thing, i would have never listened to Johann Strauss or Franz Liszt classical works if it wasn't for TnJ, it gave me part of my greatest moments in childhood too, and Spongebob's kind of a good show, atleast the early days, haven't watched the new episodes.

Even then i don't recall trying to hit someone with a pan, or making ugly faces just to creep out people after watching them both.

Also, how stupid of them to cease and censor it today when thousands of people have already saw it?

Goodness me, the utter stupidity and pointlessness these decisions are and how pathetic those peoples are.

Rip apart children's fun just so you can give them more crap they already studied or suppose to be studying at school.

Might as well live in Robotnik's Robotropolis in that case.

Good luck trying to get them sitting for more than 10 minutes though without getting them bored.

Sorry if i seem harsh, i just can't believe the decision of mankind today.
