I say we settle this once and for all.
The name "Sea3on" is pretty nice. It's much more convenient to search "Sea3on" than to search "Sonic SatAM Fan-Made Season 3." Nonetheless, there is one major question that needs to be answered: How are you supposed to pronounce it?
In the original casting call video, Matt referred to it as "Season." In a later video, though, he seemed considerably less confident about how it should be pronounced. (Both of these videos seem to have been taken down, probably because Paul is tired of receiving auditions.)
Personally, I'm not a fan of calling it "Season." It sounds too much like, you know... Summer, Fall, etc. Plus, there just seems to be something unreasonable about it, I don't know. It's like, what about Season 1 and Season 2? I'm having trouble finding words for exactly why I don't like this pronunciation... but I don't.
My brother facetiously calls it "Sea-three-uhn." I suppose it's the straight-forward way to pronounce it, eh? Like pronouncing SatAM "Sat-Ay-Em" (which I do). But... no, it's not working for me. ![]()
Personally, my preferred pronunciation is "Season Three." It's to the point, and in the context of Sonic, it seems pretty clear what you're talking about. (Of course, Sonic X has a third season... in space... but people shouldn't talk about that...)
So yeah, what do you guys think? Are there any choices I forgot? Perhaps "Sea-*short pause*-uhn"? LOL
