Kinda sucks since I just got back into reading these through the Archives volumes. Don't care about the majority. but I am a bit bummed to see St. John on that list of characters getting scrapped. Just glad Sally's not going anywhere.

Agreed on both.

Too bad the previous story-arc was cut short by the lawsuit/crossover before a proper conclusion was given. I'm sure it would've been a great farewell to the old continuity before it occurred.

Didn't know about that either =/. I'm so lost with what's going on currently haha. I'm only on issue 57(just a handful of issues emoved from Endgame), but I heard about the Genesis storyline a bit, as well as the Mega Man crossover(which honestly sounds pretty awesome
) But where I am right now it seems like Geoffrey St. John is a staple addition to the Freedom Fighters. Hell he could have fit in well in SatAM I'm thinkin'. Oh well though.

The crossover was meh. A lot of missed opportunities

Oh he was in SatAM. Penders flat out stole the design from a background character. The only thing Penders can really claim about creating Geoffrey is the personality.

That may be so, but out of all the crossovers the series has done, the Mega Man one was by far the best. It delivered exactly what fans were expecting and it wasn't a pointless side-story that had no affect on either series (like the previous crossovers).
Though judging by the ending of the latest Mega Man issue, another may be on the horizon.

Truthfully I wouldn't mind another Crossover....if it didn't interrupt the main story. It's annoying enough to wait each month when they leave you on a cliffhanger, but to add nearly another year interruption to it is just flat out mean. If they have to interrupt anything it should be the Sonic Universe story as that one is only a side story anyways. Other than that any crossover should either be short enough that it doesn't interrupt for long, or in it's own special mini-series. Still can effect the main comic, but not interrupt it.

Considering what they were up against at the time, a distraction would've been the better choice. It was either that, or a heavily butchered version of what Ian had planned later down the line (like what happened with "Endangered Species").

Someone should make a petition or something to not only keep these characters, but to bring the material from the pre-genesis wave timeline back
Uhhhhhhhhhh...

A petition to keep up to a third of the characters in the sonic comics from being lost forever.

To those who want to give this "new direction" a chance, don't say I didn't warn you.

Ha!! Okay, I give these people props for trying this....but, and this is a big BUT.....we all know that these characters aren't coming back, even if Penders' 'project' fails or not....which we all know that it WILL

Really unless Penders gets desperate for money and is forced to sell his characters that's probably it for them.

Lol, thinking back on it I do remember seeing a skunk in one of the episodes and going "GEOFFREY!"

LOL, me too! I'm pretty sure he's towards the beginning of No Brainer; but maybe I'm thinking of the wrong thing.

He appears in a few episodes as a background character, along with Hamlin and Dylan. They don't have speaking rolls and technically don't really do anything save for convince us that there are OTHER Freedom Fighters within Knothole.
