One less reason to enjoy the planet folks.
Honestly this sucks, I've never been a die hard Robin Williams fan, never going out of my way to watch/buy films he's in, but in no film that I watched with him in it, did I dislike his Role. Even bad movies like Flubber, I liked him in.

He will always be remembered.

A lot of the films and television I saw growing, especially Mork and Mindy were big; there are just too many works of his than I could count that I love; he definitely will be missed. His apparent suicide from depression makes this much worse for me; he made the world laugh and feel good while he was crying inside, just like the popular opera Pagliacci.
Rest in Peace.

"Everyone creates the thing that they dread. Men of peace create engines of war. Invaders create Avengers. People create... smaller people...? CHILDREN! (chuckles) Lost the word there..."

For me everything he was in when I was a young lad. From Flubber, Jumanji, Alladin, Bicentennial Man, Mrs. Doubtfire. To his stand up comedy and one that I watched a plethora of times "Robin William's: Weapons of Self Destruction" every line in that show made me almost die laughing... I feel a piece of my child hood is now lost, and for me the big hit is that he's the one actor I wanted to live and enjoy until I was in my late 30's. Robin you made comedy available for all ages of people. I just wished I could have reached that age I wanted and still knowing it would be a big loss. May our joy and tears over your hard work live on. thank you for making comedy for me all those years back.

I guess the one thing you never expect is death itself...

So there's a petition to Blizzard to add a Robin Williams NPC to World of Warcraft, as he was an avid player.

Apparently he hung himself by his belt, and his body had slashes all over his wrists by his pocket knife. I just cant imagine why he'd do that to his family...especially when he was raising a daughter.

You know what's saddest about this? He was born the same year as Ben Hurst, he sort of LOOKED like Ben Hurst, and he even died the EXACT SAME DAY OF THE YEAR as Ben Hurst.
I'm not saying it's a conspiracy, I'm just saying it hits really close to home.
It's hard to imagine that someone who brought so much joy to so many others had such a hard time finding it himself. Where ever he is now, may he find the joy he was denied so much in life.
But of course, the funniest scene ever involving him I've seen would be this.
