[Mike Arcade]

In the year 22XX, both Humans and Reploids live in peace thanks to Dr. Light's Last Creation, X. With X they created a new nation where both races live together as equals and in harmony, a nation called Elysium.

 

However, X's rule and Maverick Prevention Laws have sent countless Reploids unjustly to retirement. The Reploids who live in Elysium are in fear of X's Watchful eyes and his reformed Maverick Hunters.

 

Many leave Elysium and try to find a new home, but with the planet in ruins thanks to The Eurasia Incident, travel to other places in the world is dangerous. Resistance bands are formed in order to overthrow X's rule, but many are just as wiped out as soon as they start.

 

It would seem nothing could stop X from retiring Reploids who he deemed "Mavericks", until one day a human girl named Ciel discovered the lost Maverick Hunter known as Zero. Now with Zero on their side, many other factions take a more noticeable role in the world and a new Cold War has begun, can Zero stop X? That however is not this story...

 

This is the story of those who live in this world, and try to survive.

-Elysium, Hunter HQ-

 

[Clef]

The orders were clear and simple, meet with Guardian Harupia for evaluation. As the elevator rises to the 60th floor, Clef looks outside it's window to see the beauty of Elysium, however an hint of unrest troubles his mind as he looks at the city from 20 stories high.

 

-Outskirts of Elysium, Resistance Base-

 

[Skor]

Lounging around The Resistance Base was great back in those days, but with each of his own comrades and friends dying nearly everyday the halls and rooms of the base got a little emptier everyday. He still can't believe this Reploid who Ciel called Zero ran off to confront X himself about his actions, either this "Zero" is suicidal or was a defective Reploid from the get go.

 

[Jazz]

In her office, Jazz overlooked the files of everyone she repaired and healed, a medic's job is never done. However she was a bit distracted today, hearing the news that apparently Zero himself saved Ciel and then ran off to confront X. The news was shocking to say the least, but she prayed that Zero would be alright.

 

-Outskirts of The UCA, E-Tank Pub-

 

[Inertia]

Leaning on the wall of the local Pub, Inertia waited for his contact to arrive and give him his next job, it didn't matter what it was as long as it paid well. Till then it was just himself and his thoughts.

 

-Wastelands of a City, Somewhere Underground-

 

[Sturm Panzer]

He was driven, driven to keep building mechaniloids, driven to build his army even if alone. That was his duty, that was his mission, that was his purpose.

[RedAuthar]

-Clef-

[The Xloid takes in the view.]

Clef:  How many more must suffer because of the Resistance?  Don't they understand how their actions hurt everyone?

 

-Skor-

Skor:  Ciel is wasting her time with this malfunction.  All those who sacrificed themselves to pull him from the dump they found him in, and he goes and throws his life away.  

[ILOVEVHS]

(Jazz continues to worry to herself as she's overlooking files)

[Mike Arcade]

-Clef-

He had arrived at his destination, straight ahead on the 60th floor among the Reploids with their jobs, few Human Navigators, and fellow Xloids Clef walked straight ahead passing everyone by without a 2nd glance. After all...she doesn't like to be kept waiting.

 

-Skor-

With Skor's comment a fellow member passed by and overheard his statement, "Hey, you shouldn't talk about Zero like that, crazy or not he's the only one brave enough to face X." As Skor started a rebuttal a commotion can be heard far across the hall...

 

-Jazz-

While worried, she hoped Zero would return not only to bring hope in the base, but to also study him a little bit as she tend to his wounds. Something like that is a once in a lifetime opportunity! As she thought this she could have sworn she heard something far across to the other side of the base...

[ILOVEVHS]

(Jazz thinks of what the studies would have to offer, but once she hears the sound, she heads off in it's direction, instantly curious)

Skor: What the...?
[Moves towards the commotion]

-Clef-
[Clef knocks on the door.]

-Clef-

The door automatically opens and Clef slowly walks in, he's never been inside Guardian Harpuia's Office before. As the door shuts he sees that the office resembles an old 20th Century Library in terms of style, along side a bronze colored computer, giving it a look that humans would say is "Steam Punk". Harpuia was not in her iconic armor, but rather a forest green business suit sipping on tea. Her light brown short hair reaching her neck being visible, she looked at the Xloid with her emerald eyes with what appeared to be disinterest. The oddest thing was that the sides of her face had minor cuts and scars from what might have been a recent battle.

 

"Hello Officer Xi, it's nice to see that you made it hear on time as scheduled, with almost 2 minutes to spare as well."

 

-Skor-

Among 3 of his own comrades was Ciel herself holding up along with a fellow of his...Zero!?! Apparently this Zero has barely survived, littered with stabs, cuts, shots, and a gash in his chest from what must have been made by a charge shot. Unbelievable...

 

-Jazz-

Just then Jazz gets a call immediately patched into her video phone, it's Ciel.

"JAZZ, Get the med bay ready, Zero's back and he's badly damaged, get everything ready and call up Cerveau NOW!!!!!!"

[RedAuthar]

-Skor-

Skor: *Under Breath* Darned fool.... *Normal* What are you morons doing?!  Clear a path!

[Moves to help carry Zero]

Skor:  Too many people died to get you here, don't you die on us now!

 

-Clef-

[Clef's eye twitches at the name Xi but he manages to stand to attention.]

Clef:  Ma'am!  Reporting as ordered!  

[ILOVEVHS]

(Jazz quickly responds)
Jazz: I'll get right at it!!!
(She starts heading to the Med Bay, quickly, trying to call Cerveau)

[Mike Arcade]

-Skor-

He moved aside his comrades, until it was only himself and Ciel carrying Zero to the med bay alone, upon entering Skor saw Jazz's worried face.

 

-Jazz-

Immediately calling Cerveau, Jazz was greeted by his visor wearing face, "Hello Jazz, what seems to be the problem?". Upon flurried words and panic he understood the gist of it "I'll be right there." and hung up, only to be greeted by Ciel, Skor, and Zero's beaten form. It looked much worse then she thought, but was amazed he still had all his limbs.

 

-Clef-

Harpuia simply nodded at his formality, "Status report on you're Pantheon Squad, I'm sure there wasn't any problem retrieving that factory outside the city was there?" Harpuia then poured in a 2nd glass some tea "Tea?" asking if the Xloid would like to drink any of the herbed flavored water, though Clef was more distracted by the recent battle damage on Harpuia then anything else.  

[Raven]

Inertia leans against the wall, keeping to himself. He glances around at the other patrons, scanning each of them. A group of humans playing darts start to get a little rowdy due to the game, one goes to throw when someone bumps into him, knocking him off course and making him throw the dart towards Inertia. He throws up his shield just in time to deflect the dart and letting it fall harmlessly to the floor.

 

"Sorry about that, mate, I didn't mean to." Says the human who threw the dart as he walks over to Inertia.

 

Inertia bends down to pick up the dart and stands up, handing the human the dart. "Don't worry about it. No harm, no foul." Inertia says with a smile.

[RedAuthar]

-Clef-

[The Xloid nods]

Clef:  The factory is under our control.  There was some resistance but nothing we couldn't handle.  

[Pauses]

Clef:  Ma'am, has something happened while my squad was away? 

 

-Skor-

Skor:  Where do you want him doc? 

[ILOVEVHS]

(Though greatly panicked, she manages to get some clear words in)
Jazz: Bring him in immediantly, this is a severe emergency!

[Reed Teran]

(Sorry for the late entry, antics happened.)

 

*SturmPanzer's programming was ages old, his logic circuit jammed. The Sturmbots he had awakened were already building fortifications for the NeuReich, the ones he was repairing and producing showing promise. The city was his. Soon the rest of the land would be too. For the Fatherland, for the Fuhrer.*

-Clef-

Harpuia didn't flinch upon the question "You're asking this because of these scars right?" She took a sip and put the teacup down "It's nothing you should worry about, a Red Maverick was in Elysium, but Master X and The Four of Us already took care of him." Harpuia then had a smirk across her face "Lucky Bastard only got a few swipes, I just wanted to enjoy some tea before I head to the repair bay, and to finish my daily business before doing so."

 

-Skor-

Cerveau arrived right as Ciel and Skor entered the med bay "Just have him lay down over here and we'll take care of him.", Ciel and Skor carefully placed him on the bed. Skor noticed how much damage "Zero" retained, noticing a Kunai placed firmly within his right shoulder, it could only belong to Hidden Phantom of The Four Guardians.

 

-Jazz-

She took a lot of comfort in seeing Cerveau, but there was work to be done. Zero was laid down upon the bed, barely conscious and aware of his surroundings. While Jazz has seen some bad damage before, the wounds on Zero were a little hard to look at. It was amazing that he was still functioning.

 

-Inertia-

"Thanks man." The Human smiled back and walked away, it was then Inertia heard a familiar voice in his head.

 

sTuPID Huu...mA...REPLOIDS..wil...dom..in..ate..

 

Inertia wondered why he still carried this virus with him since it can be so easily erased now.

[Reed Teran]

*Sturm's programming, made from the aged remnants of an IBM processor and some kind of odd mechanism under the DireBrand brand, had many errors and faults. One caused this whole fiasco...he still believed the old Fuhrer lived, though he, and his vile and horrific reputation, was long forgotten as the millenia came and went. He commanded a literal skeleton crew of the long-dead Reich, and he didn't know it.

 

During his operation, the roughly 50 Sturmbots he had activated finally finished the fortifications around the city on the hill, or what was left of it. None of them cared to investigate the rumbling in the expansive bunkers under the city, or the partially metal walls that jutted out in places, seemingly part of a bigger machine. All were mindless automatons, geared for conquest.*

[ILOVEVHS]

(Despite how terrible the sight is, the fact that he's still functioning does reassure Jazz that there's a chance. She quickly starts getting ready to operate)

[RedAuthar]

-Skor-
Skor: I'm surprised he's in as good condition as he is after that stunt...
[Takes a moment to take in the damage]
Skor: Whered you find him? No chance he was followed?

-Clef-
Clef: Red maverick? Was anyone injured? Did he harm any of the humans? How is Master X?
[Clef fails to hide his concerns.]

[Raven]

As if possessed, Inertia lifts up his arm and aims the palm at the human, ready to fire up the thruster and incinerate him. Fighting it off, Inertia forces himself to lower his arm. 

 

"No, I am a war machine, not some lowly murderer." He mutters to himself.

[Mike Arcade]

-Clef-

Harpuia blinked at Xi's Worry "Calm down Xi, The Red Maverick didn't harm anyone besides Myself and the other Guardians, our wounds are insignificant." taking another sip of her tea, she adds "Master X is fine, he wasn't harmed by The Maverick at all, the only thing he did get was a migraine afterwards but other then that all is well."

 

Harpuia then looked at Xi with concern "You shouldn't worry so much Xi, I'd be more concerned about you keeping yourself in check, if only for you're sake so a Maverick doesn't get the better of you."

 

-Skor-

Ciel briefly looked away from "Zero" and faced Skor "I managed to convince Zero to take a communicator with him just in case something like this would happen, we tracked his signal to a ravine outside of Elysium where we found him."  Ciel looked back at Zero with concern "He was dragging himself on the ground and passed out soon after, I was listening in on Zero's confrontation...to think that X could be so cruel, especially to someone who was suppose to be his best friend all those years ago..." Ciel's eyes looked down on the floor in despair "He really has changed..."

 

-Jazz-

With Cerveau, He and Jazz did what they could in repairing Zero. Slices we're welded, Kunai were removed, but the biggest threat to Zero's life was the hole in his abdomen. If not treated Zero might not make it, what could they do? "I'm not sure if we have enough Titanium X to fill this in...but we have to act fast before..." Cerveau looks toward his right to see a few containers that have Nursing Cyber-Elves, most of them raised by Jazz herself. Cerveau looks at Jazz with hesitation "Jazz, I know this is asking a lot...but could it be possible if ...if there was any other way...I'm sorry Jazz."

 

-Inertia-

WaTs...The...diFFerEnCe...Hee Hee Hee...

 

As the voice spoke to him, a Grey Reploid walked toward him "Say...do you happen to know of any Bounty Hunters around here?"

 

-Sturm Panzer-

Admiring his handy work, his scanners picked up 3 lifesigns, appearing to be Humans.

 

They would make great practice for the dogs...
