(Zim just nods, with a hint, just a hint of worry)

[Reed Teran]

*Onboard a big hulking ship, Zim gets stuck in with the rest.*

 

 

 

*Inertia then notices that they're beams made out of some kind of concentrated, solid light form. They're going through his shielding without incident.*

(Zim looks at his surroundings for a way to sabotage them)

[Reed Teran]

*Not much to sabotage, just a big galley full of belligerent warriors. There are directions to places such as the Forward Gun Batteries, Bridge, Crew Quarters, and Captain's Office.*

[ILOVEVHS]

(Zim decides to head to the quarters, maybe there's a private spot)

[Raven]

Just in case I didn't mention this before, Inertia's shield is like a one way mirror, anything can get out but NOTHING can get in. I'm not making a fuss, Reed, just informing you. 

 

 

Inertia's shield deforms from its round shape into a sort of cone, but holds strong.

[Reed Teran]

(So It's a Ward.)

 

*The Derexian homeworld's skies darken with the presence of hundreds of Brutonian dreadnoughts, cruisers, and frigates. War comes to the Derexians.*

 

*Zim does indeed find a quiet spot.*

[Raven]

I suppose so.

 

Inertia gains speed before using the pointed end of his shield and his momentum to crash through the hull of the dreadnought.

 

 

On Pacifica Vastum, the kind, peaceful inhabitants look to the sky in shock and terror.

[Reed Teran]

*Inertia finds that the inside is well lit...but empty. Automated security systems begin blasting him with pulse lasers and ion charges.*

 

 

*dropships come down from the skies, bringing the hulking, barbaric warriors of Brutonia upon the poor planet, as they start murdering, raping and pillaging anything in their immediate area while their superiors begin establishing a Base of Operations, lowering a citadel and wall segments down from some sort of Construction Ship, as well as turreted defenses.*

(He tries to call Gir, but he's too busting lasering everyone)

[Reed Teran]

*The invasion goes as ordered, The fortifications are active, mowing down anything still alive. Bruton himself is now present on the field, his unflinching, wicked glare sweeping across the land.*

Bruton: Ah, the beauty of war. Captain Axerod, fire a few artillery rounds into the surrounding areas to provide small cover, and ensure that the Frigate-mounted Planetbreaker missiles are armed in the small chance we get pushed off planet.

Axerod: Gotcha, boss!

Bruton: Excellent. And if things go as planned, we will drop 2 birds with one stone. Where is Kamodes?

Kamodes: Here, sir.

Bruton: Take the Baneguard and go to their biggest city, speak to their leader, give them the usual deal. Upon their refusal, have the Baneguard slaughter any present civilians. I also want you to eliminate any sort of Palace Guard they may have to prevent retaliatory action.

Kamodes: Yes, Lord Bruton.

*and so, Kamodes and 300 of Bruton's finest (ha ha) march to the biggest city on the planet.*

[Raven]

The drop ships have landed just outside Pia Mater, the capitol city of Pacifica Vastum. Within the chaotic streets, one man sticks out from the rest of the inhabitants, a man who seems calm and collected, not panicking like the others. The man, shrouded in a large, ratty brown cape, looks around at the chaos. His presence draws the attention of one of the brutes.

[Reed Teran]

*The warrior moves to chrage him, his steely, bloody gold-trimmed armor a spiky death threat in itself, but before he can, Kamodes gives a barking order.*

Kamodes: Kurdur! Save your hostilities for their refusal.

*the warrior grumpily steps back into the marching formation and plods on to any sort of castle or palace, holding his Guard Pike high like the others.*

 

(Bruton and Kamodes are terribly genre savvy, Raven. It'll take more than that to provoke an unneeded attack from the well-feared Baneguard and Kamodes Calm-Sky.)

[Raven]

"Just look at this mess, do you guys realize just how much it will cost to fix all this?" Asks Caligo as he steps out of an alley, blocking the marching warriors' path. "I've heard of you Brutonians, and how you work. I'm the guy you're looking for, and no, I won't agree to anything you have to offer, so you can stuff it." He says as he glares at Kamodes.

[Reed Teran]

*Kamodes halts the march, and laughs*

Kamodes: Out of the way, peasant pacifist. We are here to negotiate with your leader.

*a whole lot of pikes lower around Kamodes, pointing in Caligo's direction.*

 

 

*Back at the forward base, Bruton oversees final preparations, as BruTech "Cleaners" torch any surrounding foliage and greenery, turning the area around the base into what looks like a manifestation of Hell itself. Home sweet home to the Brutonians, however.*

(Zim once again searches for a way to sabotage the ship)

[Reed Teran]

*There isn't much to sabotage that isn't covered in thick armor plating. BruTech spares no expense; after all, these ships have to babysit a bunch of reckless savages. As if to illustrate the point, a warrior is hurled into the wall, amidst some roars and laughter by a group of nearby warriors.*

[Raven]

The tips of all the spears are loped off in one blindingly fast slash, a signature humming sound ringing out.

 

"Begone, ye foul cur! Thou art the lowest of the low, unworthy of her Highness's counsel. Brandish thy blade and prepare for combat!" Says the man in the cape, standing between the Brutonians and Caligo, pointing his sword Renegade, at the Brutonians. 

 

"Nice to see you again, Klinge." Says Caligo as he encases himself in Erebun.

[Reed Teran]

*The Baneguard with the cut spears toss them away, brandishing swords and axes meant for two hands with one hand, some even dual wielding them. Kamodes's eyes burn green, the 4 foot snake in a uniform just grinning.*

Kamodes: You only give us the time we need to distract you from the plans laid by our lord.

*Artillery starts bombarding the city around them, as the 300 Baneguard roar a war cry, standing their ground. Kamodes just conjures some sort of green-tinted shield between him and the two defenders, as he tilts his head to the left, ensuring he can be heard in his radio earpiece.*

Kamodes: You cannot save everyone.

 

Blast Captain Jygg: Oi! We got tha code phrase, boys! Prep the Shaker!

*the front of the big tower on the base opens, and a hulking missile pokes out, with "Feck Off Crows" scribbled on the side.*

Techie: Engaging countdown.

*Bruton rests his hand on the Techie's shoulder*

Bruton: Ah, so the Baneguard was intercepted. Switch invasion doctrine to Persuader Strike and begin sending terror teams into the city once the missile hits it's target. Upon missile interception, I am authorizing deployment of the Lunkor heavies and engaging the Hades Protocol.

Techie: Yes, Lord Bruton.

(Zim tries to think. Perhaps leaving a bomb behind? Though he needs to find a safe way to exit first)
