Sorry Reed but Red's right, besides why not have yourself a W40K based Reploid or Human? I'm all for a Beam Chainsword.
As for Characters per Player, not sure how many people would want to play, so lets keep this world lively with 3 Characters per Player.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now here are the playable Species in MMZ:E, which are quite varied with some surprises! Each have their own unique traits. (Note, all Reploids have the same traits, which adds to Xloids and Reploid Masters Traits)
Humans: Born from this Earth they have been the dominate, sentient race for thousands of years until The Reploids came along. Nowadays you either have Humans living in peace under Elysium, or living fairly well with The UCA. Humans have a variety of good skills, however they not as strong or tough then other Species and are also vunerable to the weather and disease, but make up for it with great ingenuity and surprises that can throw anyone off guard. With a variety of gadgets, weapons, and power suits Humanity stands a good chance along side everyone else.
Mortality: You die once and that's it, game over. Also diseases and stuff like that, have fun!
Ingenuity/Creativity: Very Flexable in many situations, the very same mindset that created Robots and Reploids.
Hunger: Food isn't as expensive as energy for Reploids, so you got some spare Zenny overall.
Reploids: Created by Dr. Cain and based off of X, they quickly became a race that matches Humanity. With their Robotic bodies and long lifespans it's hard not to see how effective they are. Their are Humanoid Reploids and Animal Reploids, based off of all the living creatures on this earth. Reploids can be equipped with a variety of gadgets and weapons built in, and can perform feats no average human can. But are vulnerable to bugs, viruses, and glitches if put together or repaired without care. Are Reploids the next step in evolution? Even now no one has that answer.
Errors: Bugs, Viruses, and Glitches are the worst part about being a Reploid, can effect you greatly if untreated.
Longer Lifespan: Strong and Tough, Reploids can live for quite a long time compared to Humans and can even be moved to a new body if destroyed! As long as you're Control Chip isn't fried that is, otherwise you're dead.
Energy/Fuel: It's needed in order to function and can be pricey depending on how you're set up, if you don't buy it you're just a sitting (or standing) statue.
Beast Out (Animal Reploids Only): Since you are an outdated model, while you only have one element chip you can replace it at anytime due to expired security measures. You can hold up to 3 built in Special Weapons as well, but with no Humanoid Form you can stick out of the crowd. (However The UCA still have that security measure as a Law, being caught without a weakness results in a 3 strike penalty)
Cyborgs: These are humans who intergraded themselves with Technology by using their own bodies, blurring the line between Human and Reploid. Some do so in order to best others, others due to illness, or to become better hunters. They are normally as strong as Reploids depending on how many Cybernetics they have and tougher then Normal Humans, but can't take that much damage compared to Reploids, they are also both vunerable to the same weaknesses as all other races. With either built in or equipped items you get the best of both Man and Machine as a Cyborg, perhaps this could be the future of Mankind.
Errors and Mortality: Both weaknesses of Humans and Reploids are yours whether you like it or not, you're a high maintenance person after all. But if you die you don't come back, sadly Cyborgs don't have their own version of The Control Chip.
Extended Lifespan: You can live longer then any human, stronger and tougher then one too. You can't live as long as a Reploid, but you can be just as strong as them even if you can't take as many hits as them.
Hunger and Energy/Fuel: You don't need as much Energy/Fuel as Reploids depending on how you are set up, but you still have to eat too.
Xloids: The Four Guardians are considered the first in these new Reploids, called Xloids due to being primarily based on X with all his combat and learning potential. X created The Xloid Project in order to ensure the future protection of Elysium should anything happen to him. Xloids are slightly stronger then Reploids, but not as tough as them at first. With upgrading they can be a force to be reckoned with, their main advantage being the Weapon Variable System, able to copy a defeated enemy's Main Weapon and Attack. They are all loyal to Master X (what all Xloids refer to him as) and Elysium, many Xloids dream is to become a Guardian like the Four and fight alongside Master X. (They are only playable under The Elysium/Maverick Hunters Faction)
Variable Weapon System: Obtain a new Weapon and/or Attack after defeating an enemy, Weapon Energy is required for them however and you change color every time you use it, makes you pretty noticeable when using it.
Based on X: Being based on X, you are stronger then Normal Reploids, but aren't as tough as them. On the bright side no matter what you're default weapons/gadgets are, you are always built in with you're X-Buster R (Reproduction) as either a default weapon or a last resort. Sadly it's barely stronger then an average Buster Gun, you can only shoot up to 2 times but it charges faster then a Buster Gun.
Get Equipped: You can upgrade you're Head, Arm, Body, and Leg Parts in order to become stronger and tougher then other races, but it seriously costs A LOT of Zenny in order to do so.
Reploid Masters: The UCA created this project in order to Counter X should he go rogue and start labeling humans as Mavericks as well, most Reploid Masters are in fact revived and upgraded Robot Masters from Over 200 Years Ago, while others are newly created and not based on previous designs from centuries past. These new Reploids are stronger then average Reploids and usually tougher as well, but are more inclined to glitches, viruses, and bugs then Normal Reploids. They are also damaged more by their Element Weaknesses then Normal Reploids, some are weak against attacks who have no element chips. However they may just be a match against any who threaten humanity. (They are only playable under The UCA/Counter Hunters Faction)
More Errors: Being a new type of Reploid created or revived by Humanity, you're bound to have more errors then other races, make sure you're up to date on security software and you should be fine I suppose.
Special Weapons: You have unique weapons and attacks based on what you are, up to 4 as a matter of fact, it may take up space but at least you always have something available as it's always with you and built in.
Powered Up and Down: If you have an element assigned to you then that element causes double damage to enemies weak against it, however you're weakness causes you double damage as well. If you don't have an Element then a weakness is assigned to you as a security measure from The UCA. Also Element Chips and Weaknesses are built in and cannot be changed unless you set up a meeting with The UCA. Even without an Element, Reploid Masters are just as strong without one.
Mutos: Animal based Reploids have always been around since Reploids began development, these new Mutos Reploids are more advanced versions of those kind of Reploids developed to defend Elysium from all threats and to become Maverick Hunters. Each Mutos is based off of not only Animals, but Mythological Creatures as well and feature completely mechanical bodies. They are both Stronger and Tougher then normal Reploids, however all of them have built in weaknesses in case they should go Maverick. Many Mutos look up to The 8 Gentle Judges that decide whether or not Reploids are innocent or guilty. (They are only playable under The Elysium/Maverick Hunters Faction)
Humanoid Form: Each Mutos has a Non-Combat Humanoid Form in order to blend into society when not on missions, transforming to their natural state takes a few seconds and should not be disturbed otherwise the Form Change doesn't work.
Special Weapons: Each Mutos can have up to 6 unique attacks and weapons built in for them, which makes them a force to be reckoned with, however when it comes to advanced enemies they may notice a pattern...
Elemental Attributes: A Mutos can have the attributes of Fire, Water, Thunder, and Wood Elements Only or None at all. Having no Element means that a Mutos can be tough, but not as strong as ones who have elements and must rely on their skills to make up for it. Elements cause double damage to those weak against them, but can also get more damage in return if attacked by you're weakness. You can also never have you're Element Chip removed as it is a security measure in case you go Maverick.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These long posts are almost done as we get to The 9 Classes of The Game.
Hunters: Soldiers who fight till their last breath, using a balanced set of Weapons both close and long ranged and Gadgets they are Average all around.
Scouts: Very Fast Movers, some are even able to fly depending on their equipment, but aren't usually known to be that strong.
Engineers: Not as strong or tough then others, they are tricky by using their gadgets and can repair any Reploid or Cybernetics. They can also hack into Reploids and Cyborgs as well.
Medics: The Engineers of Humanity, able to heal Humans and Cyborgs flesh and blood, they are the weakest fighters usually.
Tanks: Very Strong fighters that are deadly up close, but are quite slow compared to others, don't underestimate them from a distance either as they are just as deadly.
Demos: Fighters that keep away and mainly use explosives in order to deal big damage, not that tough but are quick thinkers.
Assassins: Stealthy fighters that can rack up kills quickly up close or far away, they're goal is to finish the job and leave without being noticed, if so they don't end up well in a fair fight.
Warriors: Up close and personal fighters, either using weapons like Swords or Sabres, or even using their bare hands these guys are both tough and strong, but don't have much options from a distance.
Gunners: A Moderate Distance is what these shooters need, armed with several projectile weapons they are ready for action, however they aren't that strong up close with melee attacks. The Buster Gun is a fan favorite for these guys.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now there is a rule with Items when it comes to weapons and gadgets, you can only carry up to 10 weapons/gadgets at a time, and you can lose any of them at certain times unless it is you're default weapon/gadget or weapons/gadgets. You may have up to 2 Default Weapons at a time which don't run out of Weapon Energy, unless they use ammo which they will run out of it. This rule applies to all races.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cyber Elves do in fact exist in this series, Animal, Hacker, and Nurse Elves all exist as they do in MMZ, with their being two different kinds of elves, Satellite or Fusion. you may have up to 2 Satellite Elves help you, while using a Fusion Elf means that once used up they are dead and cannot be used again.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally, The Element System works much like how it does in Megaman Battle Network 6 and Star Force 3. 8 in all excluding being Neutral and having no element. and the cycle goes like this...
Fire > Wood > Elec > Water > Fire etc.
Wind > Cursor > Break > Sword > Wind etc.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
