@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

In The Year 22XX, Human and Reploid kind with the leadership of X have made a utopia so that both can finally live in harmony, a new nation called Elysium. However, X rules this utopia with an iron fist, and it has become a place where Reploids are retired daily due to Protocols and Rules of the State that if broken leads to Reploids almost imminently retired. Though the Humans of Elysium live in prosperity and comfort, Reploids live in fear and oppression.

Though many resistance groups are formed, just as many are wiped out by X's reformed Maverick Hunters, those who fight against X are dubbed The Mavericks of this new era. It seemed that nothing could oppose X's reign, until a human girl named Ciel discovers the lost Maverick Hunter known as Zero, who was supposedly destroyed during The Eurasia Incident. With Zero awakened The Resistance might finally have a chance to overthrow X, but Zero cannot believe how far X has gone and is conflicted with fighting his best friend, who for some reason does not remember Zero.

Many other factions play a role in this new world, either neutral to Elysium or against it, while others just try to get by in the world. With a new war on the horizon, what other forces are playing behind the scenes? Endless Fighting continues even now, can Everlasting Peace ever come true?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to my very first RP FUS! In this story, X's Bad Ending from Megaman X5 takes place, thus this is based on The Original Concept for Megaman Zero with X as The Antagonist of The Story and taking place after X5. You'll be able to play as nearly any man or machine you can think of, with some limits after all.

Characters Off Limits: X, Zero, Ciel, Elpizo, The Four Guardians, Megaman 1 - 3 Characters, Bass, Duo, Stardroids, Megaman Killers, King, Genesis Unit, Quint, Challengers from The Future Characters, and Megaman X1 - X8 Characters.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why list some Classic Characters? For one they are all probably dead, well most are but I'll get to that later. For now how about I list off the Factions for you guys.

The Resistance: Started by Ciel and Elpizo after they ran way from Elysium along with several other Reploids who were unjustly imprisoned and awaiting Retirement. They fight to overthrow X for both Human and Reploid kind. Though they were barely a threat at first, with the discovery of Zero they now have a chance to defeat X and bring peace to both people. With them and Zero's Leadership fight X's Maverick Hunters and bring back Everlasting Peace! (Humans, Cyborgs, and Reploids Only)

Elysium/Maverick Hunters: Started by Dr. Cain over 100 years ago, X now leads The Maverick Hunters alongside his Four Guardians in order to wipe out Mavericks who threaten peace in Elysium and The World. With The Resistance awakening Zero, X intends to fight this new and strangely familiar enemy who many say he once fought along side him. Retire The Mavericks, Capture or Destroy Zero, and ensure the continued Everlasting Peace Elysium Brings! (Humanoid Reploids, Mutos, and Xloids Only)

UCA (United Continent Association)/Counter Hunters: The remains of The UN after The Eurasia Incident, this human faction is actually under good terms with Elysium. However with X's Paranoia, many Humans and few Reploids who live here are in fear and believe it's only a matter of time before X calls them Mavericks as well. The UCA create The Counter Hunters in order to prepair for whatever threats both Maverick Hunters and other factions bring. Lead by Dr. Gerald Cossack, Humans, Reploids, and Cyborgs alike ready themselves for the coming war. What many don't know is that they plan on countering X's power with revived and upgraded Robots from the past...(Humans, Cyborgs, Reploids, and Reploid Masters Only)

Neo Repliforce: Created and Led by Signas, Alia, and former Maverick Hunters who worked alongside X, they became tired of X's Tyranny and fought back by creating The Neo Repliforce. Unlike the Repliforce of old, they strive to defeat X and then live in peace away from humanity, believing it be best for Reploids to leave humanity alone. Their Ace Fighter is a new Colonel created in order to counter X, though this Colonel has his doubts that he can defeat him. Help them and save Reploid kind from X's Tyranny. (Reploids Only)

Red Alert: A Vigilante group created by a mysterious Reploid known as Red, Red Alert fight outside of any laws and are bounty hunters who destroy and hunt down any who they think are evil. They have a very strict code of honor, but go out of bounds more so then other factions. Red and his team remain undecided on who are right in this war, but will defend themselves from anyone who try to attack them first. Along side Red is his 2nd in command, a mysterious young Reploid named Axl who cannot only copy others weapons, but their entire form as well. Join Red Alert and decide who is right and wrong. (Humans, Reploids, and Cyborgs Only)

Solo: You're not under any factions, you determine how you go as a traveler around the world. Depending on where you come from and what you are you might be labeled a Maverick from Elysium, regardless you try to make it in this world as a Free Hunter, where you go or what faction you may or may not join is all on you, good luck!

I'll come back later to post the types of people you can play as, although looking above this text you can probably tell what kind you can play as. That and I need to write down the type of classes and how to set up you're profiles, until then tell me what you guys think so far?

Seriously, HOW THE HELL did nobody know that Robotnik was evil!? I mean just look at those red, glowing, hellish eyes, oh yeah I can completely trust that guy with my life! *sarcasm*

Yes he did.  He said no Mega Man 1-3 characters.  Light and Wily appear in that group.

Also Light appears in Mega Man X 1-8 as a Hologram...cuz he's dead and all that.

Sorry Reed but Red's right, besides why not have yourself a W40K based Reploid or Human? I'm all for a Beam Chainsword. xD

As for Characters per Player, not sure how many people would want to play, so lets keep this world lively with 3 Characters per Player.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now here are the playable Species in MMZ:E, which are quite varied with some surprises! Each have their own unique traits. (Note, all Reploids have the same traits, which adds to Xloids and Reploid Masters Traits)

Humans: Born from this Earth they have been the dominate, sentient race for thousands of years until The Reploids came along. Nowadays you either have Humans living in peace under Elysium, or living fairly well with The UCA. Humans have a variety of good skills, however they not as strong or tough then other Species and are also vunerable to the weather and disease, but make up for it with great ingenuity and surprises that can throw anyone off guard. With a variety of gadgets, weapons, and power suits Humanity stands a good chance along side everyone else.

Mortality: You die once and that's it, game over. Also diseases and stuff like that, have fun!

Ingenuity/Creativity: Very Flexable in many situations, the very same mindset that created Robots and Reploids.

Hunger: Food isn't as expensive as energy for Reploids, so you got some spare Zenny overall.

Reploids: Created by Dr. Cain and based off of X, they quickly became a race that matches Humanity. With their Robotic bodies and long lifespans it's hard not to see how effective they are. Their are Humanoid Reploids and Animal Reploids, based off of all the living creatures on this earth. Reploids can be equipped with a variety of gadgets and weapons built in, and can perform feats no average human can. But are vulnerable to bugs, viruses, and glitches if put together or repaired without care. Are Reploids the next step in evolution? Even now no one has that answer.

Errors: Bugs, Viruses, and Glitches are the worst part about being a Reploid, can effect you greatly if untreated.

Longer Lifespan: Strong and Tough, Reploids can live for quite a long time compared to Humans and can even be moved to a new body if destroyed! As long as you're Control Chip isn't fried that is, otherwise you're dead.

Energy/Fuel: It's needed in order to function and can be pricey depending on how you're set up, if you don't buy it you're just a sitting (or standing) statue.

Beast Out (Animal Reploids Only): Since you are an outdated model, while you only have one element chip you can replace it at anytime due to expired security measures. You can hold up to 3 built in Special Weapons as well, but with no Humanoid Form you can stick out of the crowd. (However The UCA still have that security measure as a Law, being caught without a weakness results in a 3 strike penalty)

Cyborgs: These are humans who intergraded themselves with Technology by using their own bodies, blurring the line between Human and Reploid. Some do so in order to best others, others due to illness, or to become better hunters. They are normally as strong as Reploids depending on how many Cybernetics they have and tougher then Normal Humans, but can't take that much damage compared to Reploids, they are also both vunerable to the same weaknesses as all other races. With either built in or equipped items you get the best of both Man and Machine as a Cyborg, perhaps this could be the future of Mankind.

Errors and Mortality: Both weaknesses of Humans and Reploids are yours whether you like it or not, you're a high maintenance person after all. But if you die you don't come back, sadly Cyborgs don't have their own version of The Control Chip.

Extended Lifespan: You can live longer then any human, stronger and tougher then one too. You can't live as long as a Reploid, but you can be just as strong as them even if you can't take as many hits as them.

Hunger and Energy/Fuel: You don't need as much Energy/Fuel as Reploids depending on how you are set up, but you still have to eat too.

Xloids: The Four Guardians are considered the first in these new Reploids, called Xloids due to being primarily based on X with all his combat and learning potential. X created The Xloid Project in order to ensure the future protection of Elysium should anything happen to him. Xloids are slightly stronger then Reploids, but not as tough as them at first. With upgrading they can be a force to be reckoned with, their main advantage being the Weapon Variable System, able to copy a defeated enemy's Main Weapon and Attack. They are all loyal to Master X (what all Xloids refer to him as) and Elysium, many Xloids dream is to become a Guardian like the Four and fight alongside Master X. (They are only playable under The Elysium/Maverick Hunters Faction)

Variable Weapon System: Obtain a new Weapon and/or Attack after defeating an enemy, Weapon Energy is required for them however and you change color every time you use it, makes you pretty noticeable when using it.

Based on X: Being based on X, you are stronger then Normal Reploids, but aren't as tough as them. On the bright side no matter what you're default weapons/gadgets are, you are always built in with you're X-Buster R (Reproduction) as either a default weapon or a last resort. Sadly it's barely stronger then an average Buster Gun, you can only shoot up to 2 times but it charges faster then a Buster Gun.

Get Equipped: You can upgrade you're Head, Arm, Body, and Leg Parts in order to become stronger and tougher then other races, but it seriously costs A LOT of Zenny in order to do so.

Reploid Masters: The UCA created this project in order to Counter X should he go rogue and start labeling humans as Mavericks as well, most Reploid Masters are in fact revived and upgraded Robot Masters from Over 200 Years Ago, while others are newly created and not based on previous designs from centuries past. These new Reploids are stronger then average Reploids and usually tougher as well, but are more inclined to glitches, viruses, and bugs then Normal Reploids. They are also damaged more by their Element Weaknesses then Normal Reploids, some are weak against attacks who have no element chips. However they may just be a match against any who threaten humanity. (They are only playable under The UCA/Counter Hunters Faction)

More Errors: Being a new type of Reploid created or revived by Humanity, you're bound to have more errors then other races, make sure you're up to date on security software and you should be fine I suppose.

Special Weapons: You have unique weapons and attacks based on what you are, up to 4 as a matter of fact, it may take up space but at least you always have something available as it's always with you and built in.

Powered Up and Down: If you have an element assigned to you then that element causes double damage to enemies weak against it, however you're weakness causes you double damage as well. If you don't have an Element then a weakness is assigned to you as a security measure from The UCA. Also Element Chips and Weaknesses are built in and cannot be changed unless you set up a meeting with The UCA. Even without an Element, Reploid Masters are just as strong without one.

Mutos: Animal based Reploids have always been around since Reploids began development, these new Mutos Reploids are more advanced versions of those kind of Reploids developed to defend Elysium from all threats and to become Maverick Hunters. Each Mutos is based off of not only Animals, but Mythological Creatures as well and feature completely mechanical bodies. They are both Stronger and Tougher then normal Reploids, however all of them have built in weaknesses in case they should go Maverick. Many Mutos look up to The 8 Gentle Judges that decide whether or not Reploids are innocent or guilty. (They are only playable under The Elysium/Maverick Hunters Faction)

Humanoid Form: Each Mutos has a Non-Combat Humanoid Form in order to blend into society when not on missions, transforming to their natural state takes a few seconds and should not be disturbed otherwise the Form Change doesn't work.

Special Weapons: Each Mutos can have up to 6 unique attacks and weapons built in for them, which makes them a force to be reckoned with, however when it comes to advanced enemies they may notice a pattern...

Elemental Attributes: A Mutos can have the attributes of Fire, Water, Thunder, and Wood Elements Only or None at all. Having no Element means that a Mutos can be tough, but not as strong as ones who have elements and must rely on their skills to make up for it. Elements cause double damage to those weak against them, but can also get more damage in return if attacked by you're weakness. You can also never have you're Element Chip removed as it is a security measure in case you go Maverick.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These long posts are almost done as we get to The 9 Classes of The Game.

Hunters: Soldiers who fight till their last breath, using a balanced set of Weapons both close and long ranged and Gadgets they are Average all around.

Scouts: Very Fast Movers, some are even able to fly depending on their equipment, but aren't usually known to be that strong.

Engineers: Not as strong or tough then others, they are tricky by using their gadgets and can repair any Reploid or Cybernetics. They can also hack into Reploids and Cyborgs as well.

Medics: The Engineers of Humanity, able to heal Humans and Cyborgs flesh and blood, they are the weakest fighters usually.

Tanks: Very Strong fighters that are deadly up close, but are quite slow compared to others, don't underestimate them from a distance either as they are just as deadly.

Demos: Fighters that keep away and mainly use explosives in order to deal big damage, not that tough but are quick thinkers.

Assassins: Stealthy fighters that can rack up kills quickly up close or far away, they're goal is to finish the job and leave without being noticed, if so they don't end up well in a fair fight.

Warriors: Up close and personal fighters, either using weapons like Swords or Sabres, or even using their bare hands these guys are both tough and strong, but don't have much options from a distance.

Gunners: A Moderate Distance is what these shooters need, armed with several projectile weapons they are ready for action, however they aren't that strong up close with melee attacks. The Buster Gun is a fan favorite for these guys.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now there is a rule with Items when it comes to weapons and gadgets, you can only carry up to 10 weapons/gadgets at a time, and you can lose any of them at certain times unless it is you're default weapon/gadget or weapons/gadgets. You may have up to 2 Default Weapons at a time which don't run out of Weapon Energy, unless they use ammo which they will run out of it. This rule applies to all races.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cyber Elves do in fact exist in this series, Animal, Hacker, and Nurse Elves all exist as they do in MMZ, with their being two different kinds of elves, Satellite or Fusion. you may have up to 2 Satellite Elves help you, while using a Fusion Elf means that once used up they are dead and cannot be used again.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally, The Element System works much like how it does in Megaman Battle Network 6 and Star Force 3. 8 in all excluding being Neutral and having no element. and the cycle goes like this...

Fire > Wood > Elec > Water > Fire etc.

Wind > Cursor > Break > Sword > Wind etc.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well I'm just about done here, so until then here is how you make you're character (or characters), just await for my approval, until then see you guys next time soon.

Name: Who are you?

Race: What are you?

Class: What are you're skills? (Can fuse up to two)

Gender: Boy, Girl, Genderless, Whatever you want.

Age: How old are you?

Serial Number (Reploid kind Only): State You're Serial Number.

Faction: Whose side are you on?

Appearance: What do you look like?

Backstory: What's you're life story?

Elemental Chip: The power is yours! (Up to 1 if Reploid Master, Xloid, or Animal Reploid, 2 for everyone else)

Weapons: How armed are you? (mark default with a *)

Gadgets: What are those wonderful toys? (mark default with a *)

Special Abilities: What makes you unique?

Fun Facts: Fourth Wall or Not, got any of that?

Seriously, HOW THE HELL did nobody know that Robotnik was evil!? I mean just look at those red, glowing, hellish eyes, oh yeah I can completely trust that guy with my life! *sarcasm*

Sorry if this counts as a double post, but my previous one above me was getting WAY too long. Before you all get started how about I do a few Q&A's?

Q&A

Q: Mike, what are you doing and what is this?

A: This is a RP based on Megaman X and Zero, taking place after X's Bad Ending in X5 and being based on The Original Concept for Megaman Zero as intended by Inafking, that being The Real X being The Antagonist.

Q: So this is an alternate timeline Megaman Zero Basically?

A: Yeah pretty much, it's not a stretch considering how crazy The Megaman Timeline is when you really think about it (Don't do it, you'll go insane). @_@

Q: Can I play as ??? from Megaman *insert Series here*/Why can't I play as so and so!?!

A: Look at the Off Limits Characters and figure out for yourself on who you can play, thank you. Well most of those characters are either the main characters or are so old that they are dead, sorry!

Q: The ESRB called, what's the rating?

A: T - M, nothing too graphic though.

Q: Cyborgs? Xloids? Reploid Masters? WHAAAAAT!?!

A: Well you got to have variety right? Besides how do Cyborgs NOT exist in this world, honestly it makes a lot of sense. Xloids were made in order for people to basically play as Megaman/Megaman X WITHOUT playing as them. Reploid Masters are basically Reploid Robot Masters for that good old classic feeling, play as available existing ones albeit limited or one of you're own with either a Man/Woman Moniker or not. If a RM was once created by Wily then it must be included in their backstory (example, Tenguman).

Q: What's the difference between Animal Reploids and Mutos?

A: Mutos are technically stronger and tough Animal Reploids but with built in weaknesses, since Animal Reploids aren't made anymore in Elysium they are considered obsolete if not upgraded. However there are some advantages to being one now, you can only carry one element chip but may now replace it at any time. You get up to 3 Special Weapons built in, but you can stick out of the crowd and don't have a Humanoid Form.

Q: How many characters can I make?

A: You can hold up to 3 Characters at a time, but cannot create any more unless all 3 of you're characters are dead, kinda have a 3 lives thing going on here with that so create and choose wisely!

Q: Can I be an Anti Hero or a Bad Guy/Real Maverick?

A: Sure you can! I don't see why not, just as long as it fits the faction then its fine by me. However none of the factions see themselves as Bad Guys BTW, and Sigma Virus Mavericks no longer exist due to the Cyber Elves, but other then that if you are Solo and a Maverick feel free and go nuts! Just don't expect to last too long if you run into any of the factions or players that is. ^_^

Q: Can I bring in so and so characters and make it a crossover?

A: I'm sorry but no you cannot, this is strictly a MM RP and unless it's established in The Canon it's not allowed. Otherwise this would go out of control, and the only one to drive this bus off of a cliff is going to be me! xD

Q: Got any advice?

A: Have Fun, bring variety to the RP, and don't go after NPC Story Characters alone, you could fair better with another NPC on you're side in that case. Good Luck!

Ask Me Anything, Ready?

Right, Pantheons are Robots based on X but much weaker (also in this continuity much like the concept art, they have X's face but Black and Green/Red eyes). Basically Xloids are the much more advanced, Reploid versions of The Pantheons or similar to Copy X in MMZ in a way, they can look however they want but are always Humanoid Reploids and the Gem on their helmets are always Red if they have one. So with them you could play as a character made from the same mold as X and The Four Guardians.

Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

A Warhammer-esque Reploid...dear heavenly Emperor, you don't know how quickly every single thing in front of it would die.

ESPECIALLY if it's Chaos corrupted.

Proud servant of the God-Emperor. His Will be done.

I've been thinking about that, and sure I don't see why not, well unless it's an existing character that isn't off limits anyway.

Yeah I went a little bit overboard with it didn't I? Hell I have enough to make a Fan Fiction or a Tabletop RPG with this much info, maybe someday I will too. xD

But at least I put those lines there to separate sections on what you need to know.

I'm liking the sound of that Reed, although considering the factions and NPC Characters it would give you're guy a good run for his money, I await the challenge.

Seriously, HOW THE HELL did nobody know that Robotnik was evil!? I mean just look at those red, glowing, hellish eyes, oh yeah I can completely trust that guy with my life! *sarcasm*

I dunno bout dis, never really got into MegaMan

Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

Aww, it's okay Ben! That's why you can play as a Human or a Cyborg, just make up how they work and if they fit in (which really isn't that hard) then you'll be fighting against whoever in no time! Xloids I think are pretty good for beginners as they are based on X which you play throught The Megaman X games, he's basically like Classic Megaman overall.
