Yes.
Yes.
This is quite scrumptious.
My seasoned FAR/PW brothers in arms, we are returning once more.
WE ARE GOING TO RISE AGAIN!
With a catch.
My good Battle-Brother here, Raven, has a universe of his own. Naturally, it would seem we like crossovers equally, so the Nexus will meet Paperwars. And it will be glorious.
For I have discovered my maps and charts of the Paperverse, as well as my Codexes and references.
Beings that this is PW version 3.0, a few races have been added and removed. Here are the playable races for the Paperverse side. Raven will have to list his playables if he wants to give the players the choice.
UAKK: The United Armies of King Kenton, formerly the United Armies of Queen Panini, formed under a misplaced rabbit-thing from the Chowder-verse who somehow gained a LOT of power, becoming Queen of Everything. An adventurer named Kenton, son of the warlord Jaregaard Cerberus, wanted in on the action. So He assaulted Minas Kassil and beat the Queen back to her universe. Now, since Dude never bothered, King Kenton has the title of King of Everything, more accurately King of the Mortal Plane. The UAKK enforces King Kenton's rule, and generally gets an easy life, rarely going into war and mostly guarding Kenton's Castle. Led by King Kenton, Prince Tobias, and General General.
GUNSC: After meeting for a diplomatic conference, GUN and the UNSC found a common goal. Now, they are combined as the GUNSC, protecting humanity's remnants after the loss of Earth to Lord Bruton. They are mostly naval. Led by Commander Tower and Combined Admiral Hood.
Covenant Empire: A group of races folded into a heirarchal empire. Once ruled by the High Prophets, an advent and a coup placed Pein of the Akatsuki in the leadership, alongside the Prophet of Order and the famed High Admiral Xytan Jar'Wattinree. They fight to activate the HALO rings and begin the Great Journey, destroying the heretics who oppose them.
SHC: A subgroup of the Mobian Armed Forces, Squirrel High Command was around in Mobius's earliest days, during the Tediz Wars. Only the bravest squirrels are enlisted, as now, SHC functions as a Spec Ops group. Led by Commander Nutswell.
Mobian Armed Forces: The Mobian Army and the Mobian Navy are the proud fighting forces of Mobius, bred from the old Freedom Fighter groups. With the advance in technology, they work alongside GUNSC to ensure Mobius's survival against their closest common enemy, the Covenant. Led by General Rotor and Queen Alice Acorn.
Otherworld Armies: Bred from the deranged conversions of Dark-Sun-exposed humanized Chao or all the "good" factions' best and brightest, The Otherworlders are Dude's mortal army. They keep the balance, and ensure no force dominates the universe wholly. Led by General Stein and Commander Othello.
The Brutonian Army: one of the first forces to invade the Paperverse, the Brutonians are a splinter force from the planet Demonia, in the Hades Quadrant. Led by Bruton the Brutal, they battle from the former star of the system, Duunaros. They are savage barbarians, mad scientists, and terrorizers, maximizing on brute force, terror tactics, and cruel torture when able. They are also in constant civil war with the Balkantorians.
Trade Federation: Yes, the droids from Star Wars. No further explanation.
Irken Army: Mostly skirting the fringe of the Paperverse, the Irken invader haven't really commanded a presence yet. The Tallest are waiting for an opportune moment...(YES ITS THE IRKEN FROM INVADER ZIM.)
Hoodlums: Hailing from a more ancient planet called Lumland, The Black Lums form the Hoodlums, a bunch of yokels and idiots who ocasionally crash battles and fights with their antics and lunacy. Mostly Harmless.
The Flood: A parasitic organism from galaxies far. Little is known about them.
The Chimera: A bizarre race led by lifeforms called Chimeran Angels. They apparently reproduce by converting existing organisms into more troops. A rare sight, but when a Chimera dropship is seen, you are most certainly going to be converted.
NeuDeutschland: Through unknown means, Nazis have become a planetary power. From New Germany, they attempt to gain more footing on the Paperverse, but are largely unsuccessful. Led by Herr Altmann.
Industrialists: Straight outta Oddworld, these money-grubbing Glukkons and Vykkers have come to the Paperverse in DROVES, seeking to make a profit and roll around in it.With them come their Sligs and Interns, the private security/military/whatever makes their boat float of the Vykkers and Glukkons. Generally everywhere except Duunaros and Lubrique, though some Vykkers do work on Duunaros with BruTech.
Balkantorian Army: The forces of Bruton's ousted brother, Doom, these men fight on the side of good, despite their chaotic tendencies. Led by Lord Doom, they fight for control of Duunaros in an eternal war against Brutonia.
The SuperJail PMC: The Private Military of the Jail of Paperverse. Not to be trusted, EVER. Led by the looney known as the Warden.
UALI: Not a single force, but a group of nations. The United Armies of the Lubrique Isles banded together once they stopped fighting after the arrival of Doom and Bruton. Now, the combined forces are:
The Lubrikan Army:The bold industrial giants of the Isles and the biggest of the 4. Generally famed for their masterful engineering and weaponry, they made the feared Balkantakanta Super War Machine and the Swamp Duster, now used by the Galkiians. Led by their esteemed leader, Lord Crankshaft Rutherman the Third.
The Kraltan Mining Nation: Centered around the volcanic Mt. Kralta, these hefty juggernauts, miners, and workers got their beginning as feuding clans. Even though there are still minor feuds, Clanmaster Jorg has managed to oust most of the fighting and stay in power. These tanking brawlers are mostly deployed as heavy support.
The Gorian Knights: Canines and Vulpines of the City-Nation of Goria, still prizing mostly midieval values, were it not for their famed and honored Wolf Stormtroopers, Coyote Gunners, and Hyena Engineering Corps. Led by Lord Fox III.
The Galkii Swampers: The swampbillies and hicks of the Isles, they managed to form a coherent military. Experts in jungle and swamp warfare, they are specially deployed as such. Led by Bobba-Joe Batchitt.
The Akatsuki: Once a clan, now a Special Force used by Pein.
The DESTRUCTORS: Nigh-unstoppable knights of powerful stride. Kenton's best men. Not even Dude's Angels can survive against them, let alone beat them.
Angels: Yes, you too, sirs, can be a bedfellow and private soldier for the God of Paperwars. Sadly, no boys allowed. The 2nd most powerful of the races, beaten only by Destructors. There ARE, however, certain BruTech weapons that can murder an angel. Also remember that Archangel Zaara is your favorite would-be big brother.
Technically, the sides are thus:
Team Nexus: Nexus denizens, being the newcomers. They'll probably make quick allies with Dude because, well, bedfellows.
Team Lubrique: UALI and Balkantoria, though it's wobbly due to past transgressions.
Team Mobius: GUNSC, MAF, and SHC.
Team Pein: Akatsuki, Covenant
Team Kenton: UAKK, Destructors
Team BLASTEM GOOD RAAAGH: Brutonia, BIF
Neutrals: Industrialists, TF, Superjail
Hostile to all: Chimera, Flood, Creatonian Remnants, Forerunners, Irken, Nazis, Pirates, Hoodlums
With the Otherworlders ad the Angels playing the ref. As for the minions of Deathstra, the thrice-damned Hullen Invasion Force backed by the eldritch and vile Xodeans, or the ancient and mythical Reptodeans of Eden,You shouldn't worry about it if you do your duty. Mess up or stagger and your chances of seeing them alter. sometimes it may be good, others bad.
Filthy traitors and vagabonds get a nice visit from the Dominatrix of Hell, Deathstra, with a practical Deal with the Devil or a punishment to be carried out, which ranges from mildly anoying to outright sadistic.
Those who learn more than they should about the Xodeans get approached by the Xodeans to lead their new cult bit to invade that planet and get the awesome Master Pastor title...or they get their minds turned to jelly and possessed to act as a gateway.
Those who find anything belonging to Luther or the Hullen get a visit from a "messenger". He will either ask kindly for the item and leave if it is given to him, maybe giving a reward, or he will "give his message."
If someone deactivates the hard-to-find Cradle Inhibitors scattered around the Paperverse, they will release the hornet's nest that is the Reptodeans as well as their thick pollution unto the Paperverse, as well as the feared, dreaded, and literally invincible Bolagius....Bruton's father. You will surely die if this happens.
In a twist, if you find and reawaken the Old God Aarovar Dragoflame, he will march on Haven, utterly bitchslap Dude out of his cool glasses, murder every angel, and regain his throne, becoming the super serious and uncaring God he once was. He'll also bash Kenton'sface in and make you King of the Mortal Plane.
And if you go out of your way to mess things up, you get paid a visit by Dark Thorn, Dude's son. Let's just say you REALLY don't want to meet this guy. He's like fighting 5 Big Sisters in Bioshock 2 with a fuel-less drill and no plasmids or guns. AKA he's NINTENDO HARD to beat.
You each can have up to 3 characters, though the more you have, the more strain it will be on us to tally your actions unless your characters aregrouped. So you may be skipped once or twice sometimes.
As for us DMs, we have our Unique Characters, and our own DMNPCs. Being that we're in the Paperverse, possibly with a rift to the Nexus Dimension, my DMNPC is obviously Dude.
Paperwars's Unique Characters:
HIGH PRIORITY: The following characters, if killed or captured, will have DRASTIC changes in the game world.
Dude: God-on-high of the Paperverse, surrounded by his lovely angels and his Golden Guard.
King Kenton: One of the many sons of Jaregaard Cerberus. He is the King of Everything, an a lot more debauched and lustful than his superior, Dude.
Lord Crankshaft: The esteemed ruler of Lubrika, the inddustrial giant of the Lubrique Isles.
Clan-lord Jorg Streng: Octopus-headed leader of the Kraltan Mining Nation. Seems to be the clumsiest of the 4 UALI leaders.
Lord Fox III: Son of the world-famous Fox II, he wishes he could live up tto his father's reputation as he leads the nation-city of Goria.
Bubba-Joe Vaddik: Though his name changes every mention due to his nature, he rules over the island of Galkii.
Doom Kalzier: Lord-Master of Balkantoria, currently the only person keeping Bruton from unleashing a galactic invasion. His death would cause Bruton to invade all of the Paperverse uninhibited.
Bruton: the Warlord of Brutonia. Everyone's big enemy.
Millie Cerberus: Dude's questionably beloved daughter. He who has Millie can actually control space and time...the method, however, is a little R rated. For the FAR vets in the group, it's done by bruise-checking.
UNKILLABLES: These individuals have no known way to be defeated yet. Up to you to attempt to find a way. If you defeat one of them, you will (and I mean WILL) become a Saint of Haven. If you defeat one of the good ones...you'll become a Disciple of Kassil.
Kassil: Forged from the Primal Evil, she is the Goddess of Sin and Evil, as well as Dude's mother. Loves to trick and decieve mortals. Watch your back.
Eltin: Forged from the Primal Purity, he is the God of Good, as well as Dude's father. He is somewhat always bored, and a visit from him ensures a valiant and heroic destiny.
Deathstra: Dude's stepsister and Dominatrix of Hell. She....is not pleasant.
He-Who-Eats-Worlds: the first Xodean created by Luther. Leads the Xodeans, and has transcended logic and reason, embodying Madness Incarnate. To be in his presence is to die a madman.
Luthir Keilmann: the son of War and a lass named Greta Keilmann, Luthir is Dude's cousin, creator of the Xodeans, and leader of the damned and abominably cruel Hullen Army.
Bolagius Kalzier: father of Deathstra and Bruton, master of the Kalzier Clan, Evil Incarnate. Rules over the Reptodeans, denizens of the horribly-named Eden system's one planet, Cradle, the birthplace of Dude.
Lord of the Gods and Existence, Aarovar Dragoflame: the long-slumbering original creator of all Existence, a powerful warrior none have surpassed. Led the now-long-extinct Aaronians. There are rumors these exceptional warriors still live, but any who have yet to survive Aaronia will tell.
Sonic Hedgehog: Yep. After a bizarre speed experiment, he was given a bodysuit and boots that allowed him to reach the since-impossible Mach 10. He now moves so blisteringly fast that he cannot be seen in motion by the naked eye. His current location is unknown.
Dark Thorn: Nobody remembers his real name. Son of Dude, he acts like the Galactic policeman/Grim Reaper, keeping everything in balance and making sure the dead stay dead. Simply touching him results in death, and seeing his eyes results in a very..VERY slow, painful, and self-inflicted death.
I guess I'd better list the talked-about elements as well.
Octanium: HIGHLY EXPLOSIVE. This material is extracted from the core of the former star Duunaros. Octanium shells are able to level whole battlefields, Ender Cannons are able to destroy entire planets with their special Octanium Drill Shells. They function like EXTREMELY radioactive bunker busters, simply put, anything from infantry to a building to a planet can be annihalated by an Octanium shell. Brutonia, naturally, has a lot of Octanium, with Balkantoria siphoning small amounts to sell to the enemies of Bruton. The few outside BruTech who have seen it's raw form describe it as something akin to radioactive lava.
Valhallium: The God-Metal. According to legend, this metal was forged in the Heart of the Galaxy by the legendary Aarovar Dragoflame in a time of need. This is now a form of weaponry and armor reserved for only the most elite of Dude's ranks, as a Valhallium weapon can cut through all things and shatter any thing, and Valhallium armor is virtually invincible to any blow. It looks a lot like an unusual mix of Ebony and Obsidian.
Ununoctium: A bizarre form of stable Octanium created by a masterful scientist in the employ of the UALI, by the name of Cody Knight. It is used for the deadly Radiation Grenade, an experimental Lubrikan grenade made for use by the Kraltans. Refined for use, it resembles a sickly green orb of light, usually placed in a containment case.
Element Zero: lighter than a feather, sharp enough to cut air. Used in all Creatonian melee weapons. It resembles some kind of ghostly material.
Explodium: Yes, this exists. At one point, Explodium saw widespread use as a substitute for gunpowder in grenades. About a thousand different incidents of the new grenades accidentally leveling city blocks caused it to be deemed hazardous. However, the Kraltans, mining experts and the galactic leader in mining and ores, are the best source of Explodium, due to the fact that they, and ONLY they, know specifically how to mine it without being killed in a massive explosion. Many Brutonian attempts at Explodium mining resulted in a series of explosions the Brutonians thought were wickedly funny. Explodium resembles a gem, fiery orange in color.
PLANETS OF THE PAPERVERSE, JAMMA SYSTEM:
Duunaros: In a bizarre twist, this is the star of the system, somehow cooled enough to provide brimstone and obsidian rock to walk about on, with lava lakes and rivers being natural features. Home of the savage Brutonians and the redeemed Balkantorians.
Lubrique: One of the two original planets in the system. This planet is home to the Gorians, Lubrikans, Galkiians, and Kraltans, and once contained the bitter rivals of the Lubrikans, the Zubrikans, who, after causing the assasination of the Lubrikan leader's only son, were brutally hunted to extinction for many years by the leader himself, and his personal regiment. It has one moon, which is stilll unnamed.
New Germany: Once called Makario, New Germany is the second original planet in the system, and the site of the sudden return of the National Socialist German Worker's Party, known as the Nazis. It stands as a veritable planet-fortress, the leaps and bounds in defense tech made by the nazis keeping it relatively untouched by anything else. Has one moon, New Irk, held loosely by Irken forces as a Special Operations base.
Grammatica: The first planet deposited in the system by the Gaia Anomaly. This planet is the classic home of the now-militant Grammar Nazis, who apparently are led by a demented version of Tails of Mobius, called Taelss. The planet holds a lot of midieval castles, oddly, and is under heavy assault by the Otherworlders. The battles here are the War of Grammatica.
Mobius: the second entry by the Gaia Anomaly. A planet jointly owned by the Mobians and the Overlanders, eventually after many a planet-threatening fight, they set aside their differences to protect Mobius from their newest threat: The Covenant Empire. The MAF and GUNSC jointly work to retake the moon, nnamed Pious Providence by the Covies, as well as fighting against King Shadow on the home front.
Trevoria: A rather...out of place planet. The few who live there are best described as "Rednecks" by most, and many go there to hunt and fish, due to the plentiful flora and fauna and preserved natural environment, with the occasional town here and there, and the log cabin of the titular Trevor, head honcho of the planet, and a weirdo at best.
Retron: the latest planet added, this place is stuck in a "retro" era...the whole planet is made of everything short of 32 bit graphics. Many legends live here, including Bill Radchek, Pacman, Dig-Dug, Ness, Mario, and Megaman.
ENTITIES OF THE JAMMA SYSTEM:
Haven: The floating cloud fortress that functions as this place's heaven. It is cmmandeered by angels, and ruled by the benevolent and silly Dude and his family.
Minas Kundin: floating on a hunk of rock, this massive castle is the home of King Kenton and his approximately 72,000 concubines...and his wife Kosume.
Fleet of Undying Pain: Bruton's exploration fleet, responsible for the utter annnihilation of Earth.
Reptodean Fleet of Kn-DATA ERROR: NONEXISTENT. REPTODEANS ARE A MYTH. RUMOR-SPREADERS WILL BE EXECUTED BY ORDER OF GENERAL OTHELLO.
Entity #3A: This anomaly is rarely seen, and barely documented. Reports of it describe a deserted city on top of a mechanical looking planet. Scans rev THIS ENTRY IS FALSE. THERE IS NO SUCH THING. ACCUSATIONS OF SUCH ARE TRAITOROUS AND FALSE, PUNISHABLE BY DEATH.
