My art muse has been very low lately. Barely even do sketches anymore. Even stopped taking that painting course because I just wasn't painting anymore and would spend the 2 hours staring at the canvas.

Now, I won't stop drawing. Every so often I'll make myself draw something. As I've been holding the urge to draw in the tablet again for some time I managed to get one completed.

Now let's see if I still have some urge left to color it at least.

And about the style. I really just like mixing a bit of everything. I know it's a cartoon but I've always liked Sonic to have a bit more human proportions and that his body should have a bit of muscle for him to be able to move as fast as he does. I didn't go too far here but i think his legs shouldn't be skinny sticks as they're the ones that do the most work.
Also, trying to make him bend a round torso is very hard to do. ;
But I'm an anatomy freak and so need to make things realistic.

I missed the previous work. I'm not really familiar with the newer characters and as such I can't even remember the name of this one, although I have seen him before. It's cool that you can do so many different styles, even just the last 3 works here are all completely different.

Ok, I fixed it some in Photoshop, I think it's better now. Too bad since it's traditional I can't magically edit the original like this. gonna have to print it.

As long as people can tell who he is without reading the "King of Pop" bit I'll be happy.

That's Espio the Chameleon Ninja! He's not so new, he's from the Knuckles: Chaotix the game and later the comic adaptation that was when I knew of them. Always liked him since as well as Mighty the Armadillo. Only he's getting more attention now since he appeared in Heroes as playable again and it's now getting some attention in the comics.

I've only seen him in Heroes and I didn't play that game because it looked lame and sounded worse (argh, no way to turn off the music!)

Never mind turning the music off on heroes...it's their TALKING that's annoying as heck. they never shut up!

Also, thanks for your comments. I'm not sure if my way of changing styles is a good thing from adaptation or because my muse keeps fluctuating on and off or maybe because I've always been indecisive with things.

I haven't drawn anything nor touched paper since that last pic. Anyway has anyone got advice in how to get my muse going again and break this block?

I have been under a lot of stress lately, had a bout of depression that I'm still recovering from but I still wanna draw again! It's driving me mad!
Plus I owe people pics... DX
