Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

The Mobian Fallout
 
THE STORY THUS FAR:
During the Final Days of the Reign of his Reign, Doctor Robotnik unleashed his deadly pods to destroy all resistance on Mobius.  The Doomsday Project was released one week earlier than expected, catching the Freedom Fighters off guard and forcing them to act early in their attempt to defeat the mad tyrant. 
Combining their forces, the Wolf Pack, The Knothole Freedom Fighters, as well as the Southern and Eastern Freedom Fighters teamed up to stop Robotnik’s plan once and for all.  The Plan, while well thought out, did not go well, and many of the Team Leaders were captured right away.  Sonic the Hedgehog attempted to destroy the power source of Robotnik’s Weapon, but the armor protecting it was too strong and the Hedgehog failed his mission.  
A new plan was made and set into motion; however the consequences of the plan to this day question the worth of the risk they took.  Sonic and Sally of the Knothole Freedom Fighters took the The Great Power Stones to the Machine’s Power Source and attempted to utilize the power to destroy it.  The Explosion was great, destroying the facility…..
….and the brave souls who went in were never heard from again. 
The trouble didn’t end there however.  Hundreds of Pods had already been released all over Mobius, wreaking havoc wherever they traveled.  The end of Mobius looked Nigh…
However without central control the pods eventually fell into disrepair and rusted away.
Mobius was safe, but the damage was already severe. 
The Year is now 4 F.R., four years after the Fall of Robotnik, and Most of Mobius has fallen into ruin.  What was once a luscious planet of green now was largely wastelands.  
Rotor Walrus, the New Leader of the Knothole Freedom Fighters has set to work on rebuilding The Kingdom of Acorn, now dubbed the Kingdom of Knothole, ruled by the remaining leaders of the Knothole Freedom Fighters, Bunnie Rabbot, Antoine Depardieu, Sir Charles Hedgehog, and Rotor himself.  
Not everyone views this as progress however.  The Southern and Eastern Freedom Fighters, blaming the actions of Knothole Freedom Fighters for dooming the planet have broken away from their former colleagues, forming the Eastern Alliance, declaring themselves unaligned with the Kingdom of Knothole.
Griff’s Mobian Underground also has had a shaky relationship with the Kingdom of Knothole.  Griff blamed the death of the love of his life on Sonic’s reckless actions, which angered many of those who had served beside the Heroic Hedgehog during the war against Robotnik.  On top of that his rivalry with Antoine put a large gap of mistrust between the two nations. 
The Wolf Pack remained allied with the Kingdom of Knothole during it’s time of rebuilding, though the Pack still considers itself a separate nation.  The Leader Lobo remains good friends with Rotor and is willing to help when he can, however he can’t always convince his people that it is in their best interests to donate what little resources they have to the Kingdom of Knothole’s cause, as well as occasionally needing the same from the Kingdom of Knothole.  Some members of the Wolf Pack are content with the arrangement, but others feel that the Kingdom of Knothole is holding out on them and refuse to help if things continue the way they are.
On top of that many other dangers still lay in the Wastelands of Mobius.  Stray Doomsday Pods, though now weaker due to years of neglect, still roam the lands destroying any Mobians that cross their paths.  Many of Robotnik’s automated factories still pump out Robots that still function on capturing Mobians for their deceased leader or defending the facilities they were assigned.  Many Robians whom still haven’t regained their free will work tirelessly to achieve some unknown goal left behind by their lost masters.  Cannibalistic Biker Gangs still roam the world looking for their next meal.  Strange sightings of Ghostly Highwaymen now frequent the outskirts of the nations.  
And who knows what other dangers await in the yet explored ruins of the Doomsday Project.
 
YOUR ROLE:
You play the role of one of the many citizens in who survived the Robotnik Wars.  You can belong to any of the nations, THE KINGDOM OF KNOTHOLE, THE EASTERN ALLIANCE, THE MOBIAN UNDERGROUND (aka LOWER MOBIUS), or THE WOLF PACK.  If you want to create your own Nation of Survivors PM me and we’ll discuss it, though storywise it would be much easier on the players to belong to one of the Four Main Nations.  
Depending on what Species, Nation, and Class you are from will affect your character’s Special Abilities.
The Class System is less strict then most Class Systems, as you aren’t limited to the role it provides.  However it does affect your starting abilities. 
The Starting Classes are:
Scout – Agile Runners who spend a lot of their time exploring outside their nation’s walls.
Medic – Healers dedicated to keeping their Nation’s People alive
Engineer – Mechanics who strive to master the remains of Robotnik’s Technology for the survival of their Nation.
Mystic – Masters of Ancient Arts of Magic, they study these lost arts in hopes to use it where technology can no longer benefit. 
Soldier – Fighters who intend to defend their nations from the dangers that lay outside the great walls, and perhaps the first to break down another’s.
Negotiator – Some call them Politicians, others call them Con Artists.  These mobians use their words to sway the opposition rather than force.  (Note: Recommended only for Players who want a DIFFICULT Challenge).
Free Robian – Mechanical Mobians who have regained their free will from Robotnik.  Their mechanical parts make them strong builders, workers, and warriors, however they suffer from slow speeds, breakdowns, and slow repairs to their damaged components as parts are hard to come by.  (Free Robians are Fully Roboticized Characters only.)
Cyborg Mobian – Half Robian, Half Mobian.  They function as a combination of Robians and another Class.  They reap some of the benefits of both and some of the disadvantages, depending on where their mechanical parts are.

FAQs: 
1. What is this? – A alternate outcome of the Doomsday Project if Sonic and Sally used the other side of the great power stones.
2. Where does it take place compared to SatAM? – Everything in SatAM until where the story branches off in Doomsday Project is considered Canon for this RPG, which takes place 4 years after Sonic and Sally Destroy the Doomsday Machine as stated above.
3. What is the Rating of this RPG? – Expect a T rating, with maybe a little M content.  There will be violence, but no extreme gore.  I’d prefer to keep swearing to a minimum.  Try to avoid using any offensive remarks.  Sexual Content will be kept to a minimum, if your characters want to makeout, fine, but leave the details to your imagination.  If your characters plan on going farther than that, the scene fades out and it happens off screen.  
4. Can I play an Existing Character? - Yes and No.  While you can NOT play the main Freedom Fighters from the Show, you can play any of the background characters such as Dirk the Boar (not to be confused with the Dirk of the Eastern or Southern Freedom Fighters…confusing I know), Hamlin, Dylan, Geoffrey, characters from the comics who didn’t appear in SatAM, characters from the games who didn’t appear in SatAM, and character from other Sonic Medias that Didn’t Appear in SatAM (with approval first).  All characters that originate outside SatAM must be SatAMized first.   A list of Characters off limits follows:

Can I base a character upon a character from an Alternate Universe? – Abso-floggin-lutely.  If you wanna make an Engineer/Plumber Mobian Based Mario be my guest.  You just have to remember he is a Mobian/Robian, he hasn’t actually had the adventures that Mario had though they could be similar, and his powers and technology will be edited to fit the SatAM universe.
6. How Many Characters do I get? – One for now.  We’ll see about others later.
7. Can I be a villain? – Not exactly.  You can’t be a bad guy technically.  However you can be antagonistic to characters from other nations.  
8. How do Assigned Traits work? – Depending on your nation/species/class you will be assigned certain traits.  Not all these traits are beneficial.  EXAMPLES:
a. An Avian Mobian would have the ability to fly.
b. A Medic Class Mobian would have the ability to heal other players.
c. A Mobian from Lower Mobius would be physically weaker than a Mobian from the surface as Lower Mobius did not participate in the war.
d. A Robian cannot be healed by a Medic but can be healed by an Engineer.  A Cyborg Mobian can be healed by either, but it is dependent on where the wounds appear.
9. What Species can I use? – Nearly Any.  You could be Canine, Feline, Amphibian, Avian, Reptile, etc.  I will even allow some Mystical creatures such as Griffons and Dragons (note these dragons will not be the same as Dulcy’s species).  I may let you be a mobian based on an non-human race from ANOTHER franchise, but that will have to be discussed first.  Humans are a no go in this RPG.  If you have any doubts just ask.
10. Did Anyone actually ask these questions? – No.  No they did not.

Come now, Red, you know I'm one of the best damn villain players. Give villainy a chance.

This RPG is heavily story driven.  While most of my others react to your actions, this one relies on a specific plot that would ruin the whole story if you saw from a villains point of view.  I don't want to rewrite the story to include a villain's point of view.

 

Also in the Fallout there isn't really a Villain to speak of as of yet.  Most of the Dangers are small groups on their own or the Nations that currently aren't at War.

Just note if you are going to be a hybrid, you only get some of the benefits from both and some of the downsides.

I could just as well be a leader of some form of bandits, or even full-time raiders, as well as maybe a rogue military element.

The Idea of the RPG calls for the players to be the "heroes" or Protagonists.  You can't be the "villains" or Antagonists.  You can be Antagonistic to your fellow mobians but you can't play the bad guy.

Anyways, to help you decide your Nation:

 

Kingdom of Knothole - The Hidden Village of Knothole, one of the main forces striking out against Robotnik's Empire, now reborn as The Second Kingdom of Acorn.  However due to Acorn Family line having been lost to the War, the new Kingdom was named after the Heroic Freedom Fighters who faced the Robotnik's Forces.  Led by Rotor Walrus and the Knothole Council, the main goal of The Kingdom of Knothole is to restore Mobius to its former glory.

 

The Eastern Alliance - Composed largely of those from the Southern and Eastern Freedom Fighters, as well as some other smaller freedom fighting groups and survivors, the Eastern Alliance blames the state of Mobius on the actions of the Knothole Freedom Fighters.  Led by Empress Hildegaurd, the Eastern Alliance puts much of their pride in their military power.  Their goal is wipe out the remaining forces of Robotnik by force if necessary.

 

The Mobian Underground - Also Known as Lower Mobius, the goal of these survivors is just that, survive whatever fate throws their way.  Led by Griff, these Mobians couldn't care less who is in charge, or what the state the planet is in.  They only care that they survive the next big disaster. Even at the expense of another nation.

 

Wolf Pack - A collection of Tribes largely formed by the former Wolf Pack Freedom Fighters.  Since Lupe's sacrifice, Lobo has lead them through the thick and thin.  Though Allied with the Kingdom of Knothole, the Wolf Pack considers itself a separate nation.  While they try their best to help their allies, with scarce resources they sometimes feel that they are being taken advantage of.  Their goal is to restore Mobius to the way it was, however they are willing to make sacrifices to ensure the survival of the Pack now.

Yes and no. 

 

Remember it has only been Four Years since Doomsday.  You could have family in the other nations because of location or that's who they sided with after the split.  However It wouldn't be mother from one, father from another type thing.  Likely your family originated from Kingdom of Acorn.

History: Born in the Wolf Pack and moved to Knothole after the alliance between the WP/FF was formed pre-Doomsday by the request of Lupe as a "good will" move, Ray has shown his skills of free running to the people of Knothole, something that impressed a lot of people and was immediately put into training. Ray was outside of Knothole when Doomsday happened and was near a pod, but instead of killing him it awakened his Mystic powers. Ray has learned that his Mystic are like a muscle, the more he uses it, the stronger it gets, but if he over exerts himself, it causes harm (starts with a bad nose bleed, then to headaches, then to migraines etc.) Ray wants to end this because he still has family back in the Pack and wants to get back to the way things were

Cons: Wolf Pack Scar (all former or current members of the Wolf Pack have a scar marking them from when Robotnik first attacked them), Ordered not to kill (All Kingdom of Knothole characters are on strict orders by the council not to kill save for they be Robotnik's minions that aren't Robians), Wasteland Depression (Near Remnants of Robotropolis or in the wastelands where varying elements are scarce, feels weak due to lack of things to control), Not as fast as he was (Due to having to focus on two rolls, Ray isn't as fast as he used to be.  May cause him to misjudge his abilities), Not as stealthy as he was (The Wolf Pack are known for their stealth, by spending 4 years in Knothole, Ray has lost some of that ability)
