So one of things I find myself doing a lot when watching a show or movie based on other medias such as games or comics, I often ponder what my favorite characters who were omitted in this media would be like if they were there. Mostly I try to imagine what they would be like/doing if they were part of the story and expand from there but that’s just the way I do it.
What I want to know is what your favorite characters would be like in the Medias they didn’t appear in. What would Snively be like in Sonic X? What would Rotor be doing in Underground? How would you do Bunnie’s Backstory if she appeared in the Games? What would Sonia and Manik be like in StH (assuming they don’t appear in StH because I only ever got to issue 30)? How would you portray the Wisps from Sonic Colors in SatAM?
Basically recreate the characters in the other universes. You can write them into scenes of the comic/movie/show if it helps you view them.
Example:
Sally Acorn in Underground.
In Underground the Hedgehog Family was the Royal Family that Ruled….whatever Kingdom Underground takes place in. So as a reverse effect, the Acorn family would be average citizens. Thus for the most part, the Acorn Family was generally ignored by Robotnik’s take over, causing Sally to grow up with a mostly average life. Since she wasn’t a princess, she likely would have let her tomboy side out more often, spending a lot of time being more skilled in here mechanical and computer abilities but being less so in her Strategic abilities, but for the most part being a jack-of-all-trades. Being raised by good parents she wouldn’t be quite content with Robotnik’s rule and have a strong desire to do something about, specifically after the many injustices she sees. Being skilled with computers she likely joined the Underground Freedom Fighter Movement when the chance arose, likely operating as a field operator, providing on the job computer and tactical advice for operatives.
