That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

So the characters never shut up even during gameplay? Roger Craig Smith's insufferably obnoxious Sonic is going to be constantly spouting poorly written one-liners?

I appreciate them trying to go for innovation as far as character design goes, and I personally prefer a taller and bulkier Knuckles, but Sonic's face looks like he ran face first into a wall at Mach 1. Also, SEGA's logic "How do we make Sonic cool? Give him a scarf!"

 

Character designs aside, the few clips of gameplay look pretty impressive. Mayhaps its going to be a game more focused on exploration and open ended gameplay, which would be interesting if executed properly.

This:  If you like games such as NickToons Unite or Marvel Ultimate Alliance, this game still might be worth your time.  If you are looking for an actual Sonic game, you'll likely be disappointed.

This:  If you like games such as NickToons Unite or Marvel Ultimate Alliance, this game still might be worth your time.  If you are looking for an actual Sonic game, you'll likely be disappointed.

All I expect is a game with Sonic in it.

I NEVER expect a real Sonic game.

So ProJared decided to give Sonic Boom another go....this is the results.

 

It think my previous opinion stands.  If you like games such as Marvel Ultimate Alliance (which I do) or Nicktoons Unite (Which I don't) this game has potential for you.  If you're looking for a game that plays like a Sonic Game (either 3D or 2D) you'll likely be disappointed.

Really guys? It was just one guy's opinion on the demo. Wait until everyone else gives a review and see just how well it fares.

I mean, most other game reviewers gave it mixed-to-positive reviews. If anything, the overall game itself might not be "great", but good/average. We shouldn't give up hope just yet.

Actually from the footage I've seen I'm guaranteed to buy it.  X-Men Legends and Marvel Ultimate Alliance are two of my favorite games.  If 'Boom plays like either I'll be all over it.
