Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

I've probably chatted your ears off about how there are just many embarrassing sonic fans who have reinforced all kinds of stereotypes against us. However, I must ALSO point out that in addition to one group of idiots are ANOTHER group of idiots who are not part of THE problem, but will at best just replace our present problems with all new ones.

I'll take you down a trip down memory lane to my Youtube days. I was referring to someone by the name of BlackBusterCritic, or BBC for short.

At first it looked like he didn't understand everything but he was right about a lot of things I kept trying to point out. Things about how the Sonic franchise is in the shitter, more and more "fans" are acting insane, the controls are out of control, the way how SEGA doesn't care any more than how much money they can make, and how someone risked his entire career just to tell people the truth about how the "fans" were being used by SEGA.

So I subscribed to him, even referenced some of his content in my videos. Still, some of his comments and actions worried me, but I decided to let it slide because I thought he seemed sane and it looked like he was doing more good than harm.

Or so I thought. But then I stumbled across his main weakness, his cosmic-sized vanity.

One day I found in his commentary series called "Sonic brainfarts" an entry for "10 ten hottest female sonic characters". Now before I go any further, I just want you to know that I'm not defending Guptil89. In fact I also believe he's an idiot, especially with his pointless rants, especially with his rant about technology. And if you don't see any characters from the Sonic franchise as attractive, I understand. However, at times I was DEAD CERTAIN that SEGA WANTED you to think some of these characters were attractive (Rouge especially.) And yes, I don't agree with everything he said in this list as well. I would have included characters like Lien-Da and Lupe, and not Amy and Cosmo. Overall, I just don't see how this is a big deal. And based upon how everyone freaked out, had I not known what they were reacting to I would have assumed Guptil89 was uploading videos of him doing evil shit like skinning live babies or setting kittens on fire.

But apparently, a lot of people, whom I thought were the more mature, believe that anyone who thinks that any Sonic characters are attractive deserves to be publicly castrated. Basically here we have an entire group of "fans" who laugh at people who complain about Sonic's green eyes and the change in voice actors, but as soon as anyone refers to any of the characters as hot they instantly go for the torches and pitchforks.

Many of their "arguments" disappoint me and disgust me. Plus they remind me of something I've heard somewhere else before. Something I cannot and WILL NOT support.

"It ruined my childhood." Because that's soooooooo much worse than seeing these characters mutilated (eyes Ian Flynn), or seeing them written out for who knows how long due to legal drama (eyes Ken Penders), or having your childhood hero who set in motion a chain of events that inspired EVERYTHING that you are passing away (eyes with great reverence Ben Hurst). Yeah, screw all that! Hotness is the REAL problem! Think about this, many people think Krystal from Starfox is hot. Do you hear any Starfox fans complaining about how their childhoods is ruined? No, so why is it okay if you do it?

Worst of all is "they're just animals, not humans like us."

....................................................you scare the FUCK outta me. Stop and think where that argument was used in the past. You know what I'm talking about. Good lord even the VILLAINS had more compassion for these characters than that! And don't tell me I can't prove the writers wanted me to think of them as equals. Because I CAN. You might as well be spitting on the grave of my childhood hero at this point.

So I thought maybe because I got along with BBC recently I figured I could reason with him, and try to see that maybe he went a little too far. So, he reasoned with me, yes? HELL NO! Instead he threw me under the bus and exposed the conversation to my obsessed anti-fans. Just goes to show how much he can be reasoned with. But here is the kicker. In one of his later videos he mentioned that he really enjoyed the artwork of Dr. Comet. Now for those who don't know, Dr. Comet is an artist who usually draws anthro characters (a.k.a. furries) in very sexually explicit scenarios. So let me get this straight BBC, it's fine if YOU think anthro characters are hot, but it's only sick and perverted if OTHER people think anthro characters are hot?

Am I the only one who has the guts to say that the emperor has no clothes?

But wait, there's more! He later got into pointless arguments with some of my favorite youtube users, such as The Amazing Atheist and young blood fantasy 92.

There was the confrontation with Life in a Tent, who I initially sided with because I was still sore with BBC during our last exchange. However as time went on I realized that Life in a Tent was no better, probably even worse.

Later came his "pwnage" of The Amazing Atheist as he tries to label him as "The Amazing E-begger". Look, he just asked for a little extra cash so he could make a little better quality videos. And he was not "buthurt" for removing that video from his channel. He probably realized there was a better way to do this and was just correcting his mistake. Instead he's probably making money by selling his books such as "Evil Scum", "Neck-beard Uprising", and "The Douche-bag Bible". Besides, this is hardly the worst case of e-begging I've ever seen. As long as he's not forcing you to give him money, or lying what he is using the money for, it's not a crime.

Last but not least was his reckless confrontation with Young Blood Fantasy 92. BBC was in an argument with two other guys (I forget their names) and one of the arguments was about gaming consoles and personal computers. Now what Young Blood Fantasy 92 did was create a very civil response to the whole argument, pointing out how there are a lot of different facts that could support both sides, and even pointed out where he agreed with BBC. And how did BBC thank him for this mature response? By mirroring his response to his "Archives of Faggotry and Fail"

*facepalm*

*claps slowly*

Way to go BBC, you CLEARLY know how to keep them. Goodness, I don't even think Ken Penders has an ego this big. At that point it was the last straw for me. Whatever little respect I had for him was gone. And the last time I checked up on him he was suspended from Youtube and DeviantArt. Serves him right. I guess it is true, pride often goes before a fall.

To everyone reading this, what have I done that could be any worse than that?

And if BBC is reading this I have this to say.

"I used to think you were a pretty cool guy. I respected how you were trying to obtain an education in engineering. I respected how you were trying to enter the Navy. I respected how you pointed out how the Sonic franchise is headed down the toilet. I respected you, I trusted you, I promoted your material, I even thought you were part of the answer. We could have gotten along very well. But you had to let your double-standards and your ego get in the way. And now I don't even know who you are. But I do know this, you're not my friend."

A petition to keep up to a third of the characters in the sonic comics from being lost forever.

To those who want to give this "new direction" a chance, don't say I didn't warn you.
