@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

Remake it from the ground-up as Smash Bros: The Cartoon! Pit the goodguys against the badguys and give each side some wins and losses. And maybe have some characters be neutral, or even double-agents, or just outright mercenaries. Add in the occasional conflict of personalities within teammates...

Why hasnt Nintendo done this yet??

Subspace could be an awesome anime if done right.

Thirding this.

Actually...some of the newer (if slightly goofy) peripherals for the newer Nintendo Systems could work well as gadgets for the new Cap.  The Wii Zapper would definitely look badass as a weapon...a belt mounted 3DS could have similar functionality as the original belt mounted controller, and then detach to use as a communicator and PDA...and I could see Princess Lana using the WiiU controller as a personal computer of sorts.

Just...my opinion.

Yeah. With all the new gadgets he'd be a real 007

Well...not really 007-ish, to be honest.  More like what happened when armies upgraded from sword and bow fights to gunfights.  Newer tech = better more efficient tools.

TBH, the Wii Zapper as a weapon was actually something I envisioned as a weapon for another Game Master.  Specifically...

<---  This guy here.  With the added ability of detaching the Wiimote to double as a beam saber like weapon.

Actually...that brings up an interesting question.  Other Gamemasters...could they also exist?  For example, I always thought that the characters from Power Team also could have come from Videoland, so it'd be interesting to see what happens when Kevin Keene meets Johnny Arcade.  Or better yet...what if Videoland becomes a target of the Darklings from "The Adventures of Gamepro" and Kevin teams up with Alex West?

So, I've been thinking about ideas for my version of the Reboot/ Continuation of, "Captain N: The Game Master." Here's my updated list of ideas:

The Video Game Master
A Reboot / continuation of Captain N the Game Master

1st episode Synopolis: A 13 yr. old kid named Jason Walker is a video game prodigy. He is also an unpopular Nobody. He gets picked on at school because he is a big nerdy loser. But when he is transported into The Video Game Multi-verse, his life takes a different turn. Venture into the Video Game Multi-verse with familiar and New faces! Learned what happened to the last Game Master and who is set to take his place!

The 1st season is all about the main character's first adventures in the Video Game Multi-verse. It has been learned that a gang of thugs known as "The Shy Guys" have become a real threat to video game city, the "hub" of the Video Game Multi-verse.

In the 2nd season, Jason's friend and crush, Kate, is revealed to have a big role. This season will be hyping up the attack on video game City, which would be the season finale. The season finale would have a major character death, in which the character would be revealed to be alive sometime in the the 3rd season.

The 3rd Season would be about the main character's insecurities of putting people in the line of danger. An unknown someone, a woman like figure who was hired by Queen Launa, spies on Jason and keeps an eye on him for his safety.

The 4th Season will be about The Team being put against an unstoppable great evil. And Jason will go as far as do the unthinkable to save the one person he loves, but will he get himself killed in the process?

Seems legit.

Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

I see no real reason to change Kevin into Jason but other than that it seems interesting.

Jason is the new game master. After Kevin defeated Mother Brain, there was no need for a new Video Game Master, until now.

Or...for a twist, and not really an M. Night Shamalamadingdong twist...how about having Jason be related to Kevin in some way?  Nephew, maybe?  It could explain how Jason becomes involved with Videoland.  Could even set up an overarching plot where it turns out Kevin's family was involved with Videoland...even before it existed!  *inserts THIS for effect*

I was thinking that Jason's dad was Kevin's childhood friend. Shortly after the defeat of Motherbrain, the Super Nintendo was coming out and he sold his NES to Jason's dad. One day, little kid Jason was looking through the dusty shelves in the garage and found a box with the NES in it. His dad gave it to him and he's been playing the system ever since. But his very first experience with games was at litwak's arcade.

The Video Game Master is also a reboot for a reason. A lot of elements from the original show is retconned. Here's my version of Launa's origin story:

One day, Launa was accidently sucked into an Atari 2600. She was raised and grew up in the Video Game Multi- verse. She would travel from game to game helping video game characters and their problems. Soon after, she was crowned queen of the Video Game Multi- verse. So, I guess you can say that she was the original video game master. In 1986, Mother Brain started war with Launa and her army and have been battling for 3 years. One day, Launa and her team were about to receive a special weapon that could end the war. That weapon was none other than Kevin Keene. In 1991, Kevin was thought to have died during the final battle with Mother Brain, with a defeated Mother Brain and Kevin Keene, nowhere to be seen. During the battle, Mother Brain destroyed the Palace of Power. In 1991, a new age for the Video Game Multi- verse began. With the help of other video game characters, Launa and the others were able to create a new palace of power and the "hub world" of the multi-verse known as "Video Game City."  Now, there's a new threat to video game city: a gang of thugs known as 'The Shy Guys." But, with a new threat, comes a new hero to take on the Captain mantle.

If you guys want more origin stories for other characters, let me know.
