i think if anything one of them should be SA 1 & 2
I dont think the comics should be the plot. Cause 90% are filler, Penders shit, AoStH-like coponents and overall disliked parts

If there ever is a Sonic movie, it'll be completely CG like Wreck it Ralph. It'll just be a potential game story made into a movie. No homages to any of the shows, no SatAM, but will have a tie in comic from Archie to advertise it.

Yeah but This is SEGA, it's probably not happening anytime soon
I hope it won't happen. Because, making a movie based on the video game always end up the worst. Look it up...
Especially when your name is Uwe Boll.
Just imagine it everyone, Sonic the Hedgehog as directed by Uwe Boll.
You're welcome.

Most likely. SEGA is for the most part interested in playing it safe (which is why the Genre Roulette in Lost World is such a surprise), so I doubt they'll do anything radical. The movie will either be in the Boom continuity or the game continuity... I don't think they want a repeat of the early 90s, where you had five or six Sonic canon running concurrently... and that's not even mentioning the Sonic manga in Japan or the novels.
Then again, who knows. Their desire for consistency seems to have broken down with Boom, so unless the games adopt the Boom designs, this movie very well could be its own self-contained universe. Let's hope it sells well in that case, because we all know a sequel hook will be thrown in.

According to this article Sony Pictures have registered three websites for a Sonic film.
Does sound interesting....
I hope it's true.
I would love to see a Big Budget fully CGI Sonic Movie in 3D.

I don't think it will do well. Unless they come up with something innovative, pretty much any possible interesting story involving Eggman as the main antagonist has been done by Sega. If they introduce a new or different antagonist, the masses won't identify them and ultimately dislike it.
And I swear, if Shadow is involved and the voice actor makes him sound like a constipated pedophile like he was in Sonic Generations, I'm going to lose my mind.

Long past the point of caring about this sort of thing.

Oh goody, let me get excited...

There we go.

Wow...we're split down the middle of either being "not caring" or "Totally Ecstatic"
Personally Until I see some storyline, teaser, trailer, or at least production photos, I won't hold my breath. Because honestly right now it could already be in Development Hell and never make any further progress.

Well these days without getting super excited or super butthurt at anything before actually seeing it.
While getting hyped for something, especially if it's a franchise you are a fan of or have fond memories of, can be a good thing, it can also be a terrible thing. Think of when George Lucas announced he was making new Star Wars movies back in the mid 90s and how everybody was popping huge fanboy boners over it. It was George Lucas, the man could do no wrong! Then the trailer dropped and people got more excited.
... And then they saw the movie. Ohhhh...
Or on a personal level, myself with Terminator: Salvation. I've been a fan of the Terminator franchise since the early 90s and while I did enjoy the 3rd installment, it didn't offer anything new. Salvation on the other hand, was looking to be everything I hoped T3 would be. It was going to be set during the War, expanding upon ideas established and mentioned but never seen and the trailers looked promising. Then the movie came out and I felt like McG and the screenwriters had lured me into the back of a white, windowless van with promising of candy and video games and instead had their way with me and stole my money. Same thing with Aliens: Colonial Marines, the makers of that game hyped it up to be a golden apple and instead of a golden apple, it was a rotting one with razor blades sticking out of it. So since then, if I ever see trailers for anything, especially if it's to something I'm a fan of, I try to not let myself get sucked in.
And the same goes for things that might look like dogshit. I've always noticed fans are quick to jump on and attack something if it looks new and "different" to what they are use to when presented with screenshots or trailers and so forth. Yeah it's their right to have opinions and such, but when you're basing a movie or a videogame on a single screenshot, saying it's ruined forever, then that person is not being fair. If the game/movie/show/comic/whatever then gets released and it's bad, then fine, but to judge it and say it's ruined before it's released?
So yes, there will be a Sonic movie. Am I excited? No. Am I going around saying it'll be terrible? Also no. It's too early in the game to get pumped up or butthurt. The movie might never happen, or could be a few years off. We have hardly any info on it, apart from the studios involved, the producers and screenwriters (and no doubt it'll go under revisions by other screenwriters). No director, no actors or voice actors, or other crew. Until the movie hits cinemas, I'll be just waiting.

I'm not disagreeing. That's why I'm surprised we're either "Don't Care" or "Extreme Care". I'm surprised their nobody is all "It's gonna suck" or "It's going to be so Awesome it isn't funny" or even "What's a Sonic?". We have a perfectly even split of Not caring and ecstatic.

Clevver Movies just posted a video a few hours ago confirming that Sony is working on the Sonic movie. It's supposed to combine CGI animation with live action. Here's the video:
An very rare photo of the late singer Aaliyah next to a statue of Sonic...
Now that is "One In A Million!"

A petition to keep up to a third of the characters in the sonic comics from being lost forever.

To those who want to give this "new direction" a chance, don't say I didn't warn you.
