Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

"Cry of the Wolf" is one of those "B" grade episodes. It's pretty cool, but it's got all these annoying little details that tend to knock it down a peg. Antoine, for example, adds nothing to the story other than to be REALLY obnoxious: his whole "Ze Curse!" schtick gets really old REALLY fast. Likewise, Sonic and Sally getting captured only to escape moments later so easily bugs the crap out of me.

That said, the Wolf Pack themselves, despite dipping into the frustrating trope of "One With Nature Indians", are a welcome addition to the show. They all sport pretty impressive and memorable designs, and as the first real alternate group of Freedom Fighters to be introduced, they help open the boundaries of SatAM's world a little wider. Doomsday also gets to show off its ruthless effectiveness: the fact that it takes so much effort to ultimately stop that one drone drives home just how grave the threat in question is.

On the whole, I enjoyed "The Wolf Pack" a good deal, but it felt like it was in need of a little fine tuning in parts.
"These hands of ours are BURNING RED! Their loud cry tells us..."
"To grasp happiness!"
"ERUPTING GOD FINGER!!! SEKI..."
"HA!"
"LOVE LOVE TENKYOKEN!!!"

Yes, Antoine's antics wear thin in a sonic second... so to speak. Why exactly do they bring him along anyway? I can understand why the SCRIPTWRITERS do, but I can't understand why Sonic & Sally would want to. Sonic should have TIED Antoine to Dulcy's riding saddle and sent him back to Knothole.

On the other hand I did enjoy the spot where he became smug after jumping into Sally's arms. "Ooh he-lo my princess! Mmmm-mmmm this is very nice!" Great facial reactions from Sally.

There was an awful lot of padding in the episode; scenes that weren't integral to the plot. Sonic racing around inside the caverns for instance. Another small bit of padding is the scene where they first meet up with a wolf pack member and don't think to introduce themselves?! Duh!

I found Lupe to be an excellent character (nice voice and sexy outfit), and the Wolf Pack were highly intriguing. I expect that there was an intention for them to participate in Season #3.

The music throughout is a good compliment to the story.

QUOTE ("Gojira007":a6zik0do)

Me too, that WAS pretty lame. They could at least have written up a better ploy than that. For example Sonic could have broken into Snively's pod while it was upside down.

Another lameo moment was Lupe running onto the scene right at the end to announce that they'd suddenly received communication from *ALL* the other freedom fighters. Golly Gee! Isn't that a nice little turn of events all of a sudden. Wouldn't it have been more interesting to spend time discovering the other groups instead of boring us with the Antoine short episodes?

Despite my sarcasm above I *DID* very much enjoy this episode. I just wish that there story had been a little more full, and that there had been similar adventures to reach the other FF groups.

Memorable quotes:

Antoine: "Ooh, I am too boring with ze journey. It is taking too awfully longer if I ask me."

Robotnik scrunches Snively's nose and then causes it to bounce like a springboard.
Snively: (muttering) "Oh by I'd like to get your nose in a vice some daaaaaaaieeeee!!!"
Robotnik (lifts Snively off the ground) "STOP GRUMBLING AND FIND-ME-THOSE-WOLVES!"

Sally: "Sonic, a little patience please!"
Sonic: "Fine!" (Looks at watch) "Patience is up!"

Sonic: "Know what I think?"
Sally: (Frustrated) "How could anyone POSSIBLY know what you think?"

Sonic: "Trust me"
Sally: "Oh I hate it when you say that."
Then later in the episode, same lines but Sally first then Sonic.

Another quote you forgot

Robotnik: "send me your surveillance tapes NOW!"
Snivley: (mocking) "Send me your surveillance tapes NOW!

This was one of my favorites from season 2. The musical theme added a lot to the episode, making it stand out. It's a shame the series ended when it did, as I would like to see how Lupe would be of service to the FF's in future encounters.

I remember one scene in particular where they are trying to find the fastest way through the canyon, only to be stopped by one of Robotnik's massive quagmires. It really hit home with me just how much damage Mobius had endured

I agree woith gojira 007. The "Cry Of The Wolf" Episode did well with letting explore other groups or cultures of Freedom Fighters, but they could've done so much more with it. Introduced more groups of Freedom Fighters. After all, Freedom Fighters from all over Mobius end up coming together to help destroy the Doomsday Project in "The Doomsday Project" Episode. So, if SatAM does come back, I look forward to seeing more groups of Freedom Fighters & I hope the story takes place where the old one leaves off.

To have my say on this episode, the storyline was great, it's just that it needed to be stretched out a bit more. Which is why I think opting for a 24-26 episode season is what the people at ABC and DiC should of opted for in the first place. I like Lupe and her Wolfpack, but to be honest, they've could of done so much more with the Freedom Fighter groups. A couple of them weren't even introduced until the last minute, and it's a shame that the Wolfpack is the only group that we hear a little about their culture and whereabouts.

I also think they should of toned down a little on Antoine. I liked him in the 1st Season, but just like I said in the 'Antoine short' episodes, in the 2nd Season he comes across as being a big jerk, and nobody wants to really support his needs. To feel that he needed to overcome his fears, to prove that he was really a good addition to the Freedom Fighter group is what I felt should of been done in Cry of the Wolf. But instead he's just there for comic relief.

I rate this episode a 7 out of 10.

This is arguably my favorite episode out of all of them I think. It really did alot to make Mobius seem more real to me by introducing actually life outside of Knothole. A group of people working on their own to fight against the machines...until Sally makes contact with them, that is, and they join up.

For so many episodes it was The Freedom Fighters and Robotnik fighting either in Robotropolis or some exotic location. For the run up to Doomsday the world expanded dramatically and Cry of the Wolf was a solid chapter that gave the world of Mobius a depth it didn't quite have before.

Perhaps it's just me, but I felt a little odd when the wolf pack had to resort to destroying the land and didn't seem at all remorseful about it. Right after saying they never harmed the land. Heh. Just a minor thing, nothing too big.

This episode is my favorite following reasons:

1: It's the first time we truely get introduced to another Freedom Fighter group. It expands a bit on the world of Mobius.
2: The fact that the Doomsday Pod took so much damage before going down really proves how large of a threat Robotnik is for the Freedom Fighters.
3:The overall plot is very nice despite a few problems.

Antoine keeps whining about the "curse". One of the best moments is when finally Sonic snaps & yells "Ant, forget the curse! There is no stupid curse!!" & Lupe confirms it. Plus I have to agree with Sebastian; why do they bring Antoine anyway? In the earlier episodes, he always messes up (which is obviously predictable) & plus when he hits on Sal, she just gets annoyed & rejects him (like when she drops him).

Another moment that we all remember:

Robotnik: Snively?
Snively (smiling innocently): Sir?
Robotnik: Have you noticed that there are caves along the top canyon walls but none at ground level?
Snively: Oh, yes sir.
Robotnik: What does that tell you?
Snively: That the wolves....used to be very tall?
Robotnik (about to lose his temper but restrains himself): It means they're camouflaging the lower entrances. (finally loses his temper) FIND THEM!!!!
Snively (cowering): Yes sir.
Don't you ever mess with the hedgehog.

Cry of the Wolf was a very good episode, however they should have taken somebody else with them instead of Antoine because he's completely useless and of no help at all except in the episode Spyhog were he actually managed to do something right for once. And they should have went into more detail about the other freedom fighter groups on her father's list. Besides just the wolf pack.

I read we are allowed to reply to these this old.

Basically, I agree with Michelle the Amazing. Except I must add that at the end when Lupe suddenly appears to make an announcement, it was like she already knew the outcome of Sonic vs. the Machine Pod.

And it was like Sally took over Lupes judgment anyway and left her to do the paperwork.

Can't believe I missed this one... It's my favorite of the series. Has the wolves, the the nearly undying threat of the pod (as opposed to all of Robotnik's more easily destroyed machines), reverse engineered Robotnik tech being used against the pod, and seemingly sentient lightning.

Projection: If Intruder Organsim reaches civilized areas...

Entire world population infected 2,7000 hours from first contact.
