Got A Sonic Continuity Of Your Own?

Like many, I used to create a fan world based on the Sonic games and the SatAM cartoon series. That world of mine collapsed and I have worked tremendously hard to rebuild it. I've tried all of the other Sonic series' to work on, but they do not give me the world I desire.
So I figured "What the Hell? None of these satisfy me, so why bother at all?"
Think about it. The Sonic games nowadays are just not what they used to be. At one point in our lives, they robbed us of our soul, and we fell in love with the 2-D world we saw on our tv screens when we were 10-15 years younger than what we are now. The world knew of our love, and people like Ben Hurst have given us their point of view to share the love.
But none of these things have satisfied any of us. Not even SatAM. Of course we all adore SatAM. But we wouldn't exactly have a website like this, a site that is still trying to bring back that familiar feeling we all got from watching the show, if it still continued with more seasons. We are all disastisfied here, and that's why we are here.
Fans have made comics and fan fics of what they believed happend after Sonic destroyed the Doomsday device, allowing Snively and Naugus to be the new villains. I've made that attempt myself, but nothing came out of it.
Ben Hurst, and all of the others, created something for us to enjoy. Something from their own point of view. But, to me at least, none of them truly did it for me.
So I've decided to try something that these creative minds have done, and just create my own version of what goes on in the Sonic world. It's more closely tied to the older games than most of the tv shows and comics have been, but I'm trying to be as original about this as possible.
But what I like to know is has anyone else done anything like that? Has anyone here decided to be like their hero, Ben, and just imagine something like he has? If so, tell us about it. If you have stories or anything like that, feel free to post 'em on here. Be like Ben, and share the love. Share the art....
Mmkay, I'm starting to sound like a hippie, so I'll stop now.

Wasn't exactly sure. You probably know alot of people who have done something like this, or maybe you have, I've no idea. I don't know anyone else who has made up their own world. But if you have, or anyone else has, i encourage you to share with us. If you don't feel like it, it's fine. Trust me, I don't count on this topic being popular. I would love to share mine with everyone here, but it's still a work in progress.

However I'm far more in awe of stories that other people compose because there's no mystery in anything I can write or draw for myself. If Satam had continued with Season three then at the very least this would have satisfied my curiosity.

Really, it's pretty much SatAM with a few modifications here and there to suit me, mostly historical changes (it begins seven years after Robotnik's coup, many events prior to that are different and all things afterward probably won't happen, such as Doomsday). For instance, the magic and sorcery in SatAM didn't appeal to me much, so I ditched it. Naugus doesn't exist. Other changes include King Acorn not being thrown into the void (which again, does not exist) and was instead roboticized too. He now serves Robotnik as an advisor.
Robotnik uses roboticized Mobians as his most prominent soldiers since SWATbots are consistently and frequently bested in combat, where the roboticized Mobians are tougher, better armed, and far more intelligent and able to adapt to combat situations.
Robotnik is also considerably more evil and demented, but I just imagine that this is somewhat common in fanfiction about SatAM. He enjoys psychological and occasionally physical torture, and particularly enjoys tormenting those who trouble him most. Robotnik also owns the entire world at this point, with only small pockets of resistance like the Freedom Fighters. He occasionally has to leave Robotropolis (which is hudreds of square miles in size) to oversee operations in other parts of the world.
The world is also considerably more... realistic. The main characters (who are not the freedom fighters from SatAM, read on) use sci-fi weapons like lasers and plasma weapons to fight roboticized Mobians who likewise use real, deadly weapons. People get shot, bleed and die in this world. Some roboticized Mobians have been driven insane by their torturous life, and enjoy toying with and tormenting their foes.
Snively is little changed, he's still the brains behind the outfit most of the time, and secretly hates and plots to overthrow Robotnik.
This is all written in the form of a single 70,000 word fan novel I have put up on fanfiction.net. The story isn't told from the SatAM characters' POV since I wanted to make these changes without having to show Sonic with a laser gun, and I wanted to explore other freedom fighter groups on Mobius. The SatAM freedom fighters do exist and make cameos in a few chapters when it is logical for them to show up, and I tried to keep them in character with few changes.
If anyone cares to take a gander, here's the link: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3832577/1/T ... _of_Mobius
It hasn't garnered a whole lot of response, but I can't blame people considering that it's not really that strongly about Sonic so much as it's just SatAM flavored. Still, I have two more novels planned (and one partially written) to finish out the story arc. We'll see how they pan out.
Is that the kind of thing you're talking about?

When I was real young and first fingered out that I wanted to write, I wrote a few sonic stories. A lot of them were bad, but one, grammar mistakes an all, was kinda good.
It was basicly SatAM, but with slight changes. For one, Bunny and Rotor were dating, and Sonic and Sally were practically wed. Of curse, Sally gets knocked up ( I am sensing a theme with me here. Need help) and Sonic just assumes that Sal will take care of things...they fight, they make up...only to have Sonic die. Yes, I typed it. Sonic dies in this. Now I only did that because it fit the emotional conclusion I was going for. If I were to post it here, I would have to clean it up..and I hate doing that on old writings.

If you think your writing skills have improved much since then, then I suggest that you don't fix it so much as rewrite it. You can turn it into something bigger and better, which might lead to even bigger and even better things if you want it to.
I understand completely if you don't want to submit the original. My old writings are garbage, and I've learned a tremendous amount about writing since then. I went from a short SatAM themed story about my OC to making him a background character in a fan novel, even changing his species in the process.
