The question is, do you want full spoilers or brief explanations that entice people to watch the episodes? Bear in mind that the longer the text the more time I would need to work on each.
BRIEF:
======
In need of parts to reinforce their defensive catapults, Sonic ventures into the junkyards of Robotropolis, accompanied by Tails who has insisted on being allowed this visit. They overhear a plot by Doctor Robotnik to defoliate the Great Forrest and thus reveal the location of Knothole Village.
Narrowly escaping capture, Sonic and Tails return to their friends and sound the alarm. A hasty plan of defence is drawn up as they face hundreds of oncoming buzz-bombers.
FULL SPOILER:
=============
Through the heavily polluted skies of Mobius' former capital city, self-appointed dictator Doctor Robotnik returns to his headquarters via personal shuttle and is greeted by his sentry robots and fearful but only semi-respectful nephew Snivelly.
Ferociously demanding progress in the hunt for Sonic the Hedgehog, Robotnik is appeased when Snivelly reveals upon one of the video screens the sighting in The Great Forest of Tails the young, two-tailed fox cub and close friend of Sonic. Anticipating that Sonic would be lured into the open by Tails' cries for help, Robotnik orders an immediate attack on Tails by the #1 buzz-bomber; a robotic hornet with built-in laser sting. At sight of the advancing robot, Tails flees via his unique ability to take flight through twirling his fox tails. He retreats toward his friends Sonic the Hedgehog and Rotor the Walrus who are also out in the forest. Although flying at his quickest, Tails is barely able to stay ahead of his pursuer.
The ploy succeeds and upon hearing Tails distress, Sonic runs to the rescue, abandoning rehearsal of a heavy-metal serenade for his love interest Princess Sally Acorn. Outrunning and outwitting the buzz-bomber, Sonic literally grabs his friend Tails and tricks the robot into firing on an embedded rock that reflects the laser back onto itself. Robotnik, having monitored the failed effort via a floating surveillance robot, boasts to Sonic that the small community of Freedom Fighters will be captured before day's end. Sonic mocks the taunt before exiting.
Returning to the Freedom Fighter's hideaway of Knothole Village via the wild ride of a hollow tree secret chute and haystack landing, the trio arrive to find that some of their friends are hard at work on defensive mechanisms; wooden catapults. Little effort comes from the coyote, former royal guard Antoine Depardieu, who merely stands to one side giving directions to southern gal Bunnie Rabbot. Bunnie meanwhile is performing a good deal of the manual labour, her strength greatly enhanced by the robotic arm and two robotic legs inflicted on her at some past date when she was captured and nearly processed into one of Robotnik's army of robot slaves.
The team are attempting to strengthen the defence catapults under the direction of their leader Sally, daughter of the rightful king of Mobius, Maximillian Acorn who vanished after being deposed by Doctor Robotnik. Busy with calculations, she spurns the blatant flattery Antoine, and reprimands him for his use of the title "princess," making it clear that as a team player she prefers to be just "Sally."
Simultaneously, Sally and Rotor arrive at the same conclusion; the catapult arms are breaking under stress because their wooden cotter pins are too fragile and that metal substitutes are needed. After learning what cotter pins actually are, Sonic volunteers to retrieve some from the scrap-laden streets of Robotropolis. Following standard procedure, he first visits the special lagoon from which once every 24 hours is issued a power ring; an item which when held aloft by Sonic amplifies his speed and strength.
Reluctantly, Sonic yields to Tails insistence on being allowed this visit to Robotropolis. Tails merely learns that the once beautiful Mobotropolis is now a grimy industrial wasteland populated only by mechanical enforcers known as "swatbots", along with the unfortunate Mobian citizens all transformed into worker robots. Sonic explains that somewhere among the workers is his uncle Charles "Chuck" Hedgehog, showing Tails a photograph of Chuck in his pre-roboticised state and adding how much he is missed. Uncle Chuck is nowhere to be seen, but Sonic discovers his own dog "Muttski" among the robots and demonstrates that with persistent coaxing the robots can be made to temporarily remember their original selves. Muttski however quickly reverts back to a hostile state and chases Sonic away.
Tails gets far more than he bargained for when he and Sonic are pursued by swatbots and then surrounded at the top of a building. They escape into the ventilation system and serendipitously fall toward the vent directly above a room in Robotnik's complex just in time to hear him briefing a swatbot squad. He has prepared enough defoliant to destroy the entire Great Forest and plans to employ the buzz-bombers in deploying this. Sonic overhears all this, including the mention of a specially prepared hedgehog-seeking missile. Despite accidentally falling through the vent right in front of Robotnik, Sonic and Tails nonetheless escape and rush back to Knothole to warn everyone.
The newly-reinforced catapults are loaded with water balloons, and Sonic lures the buzz-bombers into range, first attacking by hand with water balloons, then pulling faces, dodging lasers and finally causing the hedgehog-seeking missile to crash into the defoliant consignment. The entire batch of defoliant tanks land harmlessly in a canyon without breaking open. The buzz-bombers are then pelted with catapulted water balloons, causing most of the squadron to short-circuit. Despite Robotnik's repeated orders to continue attacking, the remaining bombers retreat. Robotnik calls to Snivelly and then advances menacingly, intent on venting his rage on the nephew.
While the Freedom Fighters all celebrate their triumph, Sonic and Sally take a walk into the forest, their voices gradually fading. Sonic seeks admiration for his personal achievements but receives little more than mild praise from the down-to-earth and level-headed Sally.
Memorable quotes:
Sonic (Talking into Robotnik's surveillance camera) "Little news, butt-head Robotnic... Read the ol' lips! You are history, done, through, outta here! 'cause the Freedom Fighters are up and on the job!"
Rotor: "We're there!"
Tails "Hi Mom!"
