When was that? Depending on when it was, it might have been a DNS issue. Those should be gone now.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

on*

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 10:10 PM)

Red said he couldnt get one

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

Ian hasn't been off to a good start. He threw out the Naugus storyline for no reason, Julian Robotnik retconned, and upped the whackyness on Eggman. Also Shard is supposed to be among the terminated characters so don't expect to see him ever again. The good things the comic had was a rich world of characters good and bad to fill the Sega gaps, but 90% of those are all dust. Get ready for a Sonic Lost Worlds adaption, and then some Sonic Universe stories of him competing in the olympics with Mario.

I miss the good old days of Swat Bots and the robotisizer...when the villain wasn't a complete joke and the heroes had an actual stake to fight for.

No I'm pretty sure somebody in another thread showed they confirmed Shards return.

Not that it matters, Shard wasn't anything special to begin with.  He's just Metal Sonic....only not.  And if any of you guys have been here a while you know I don't think Metal Sonic is all everyone claims he is.

That never happened.  Ever.  Robotnik was a joke and goofy since issue 1.  Yeah he had his really scary moments, but so does the new one.  The difference is that while the old Robotnik's level of goofy-ness varied depending on the issue, while currently it's more stable.

I know where you are coming from; there is a good chance the comic will just spiral into a sucky Sega Sonic world moving from one game to another becoming a shameless medium solely for Sega's advertizing. However, I also can see it possibly getting better with the Freedom Fighters still present. In my opinion it could go either way, but it just depends on which way Ian Flynn wants it to go and how much Sega and Archie lean on him. I hate to say it, but with all of the new edicts coming down from Sega I'm keeping my hopes low, but I am trying to keep somewhat optimistic.

This is why I think that Sea3on is all the more important; at least there will be one place that the American Sonic still exists.

I heard Sega wanted Shard gone because there can only be one Metal Sonic. Also Robotnik did have plenty of serious moments once they actually got out of the AoStH stage. He almost murdered Sonic by gassing him one time, and divulged on how he enjoyed eating his kind at another point.  Eggman these days is just like the games of messing around in a emerald fetch quest to build another world dominating machine. He hasn't been serious since issue 175.

Ian says that he actually has plans for Shard. Plus, we don't even know if they can still use the other comic characters, that's just your assumption. We are only 3 issues in the new Universe and people are already complaining about it. You should give it a chance.

My only complaint thus far is how NICOLE rejoggs everyone's memories. Like Why NICOLE?

Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

Maybe it's Ian's way of bringing her back to the freedom fighters. Ever since the whole Naugus plot, things haven't been easy for her.

Basically it means it was created to cover something that would casue a plot hole, usually last minute. A commonly used example was the Last Episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender where Aang didnt want to kill the Fire Lord so they created Energy Bending, something that wasnt even mentioned before in the series until that point.

Maybe but would you rather a lengthy multiple issue explanation or this one?

I'll give you an example. That scene near the end of Jurassic Park where the Velociraptor is about to pounce but the T-Rex grabs it with her mouth, allowing the characters to escape. How did the T-Rex even enter the room without anyone noticing???

A petition to keep up to a third of the characters in the sonic comics from being lost forever.

To those who want to give this "new direction" a chance, don't say I didn't warn you.
