@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

I have recently gained a new hobby, and that is mapping for Serious Sam : The Second Encounter.

Here are recent screenshots from my first mapping project.

Here is what it looks like so far. It looks bare because I want to get all the map entity scripting done right first.

A secret pillbox which has a lever that drops anyone vying to grab that Serious Damage powerup into the abyss below. Well-protected, but allows little room to attack from.

A teleporter that gives anyone in there a hasty retreat when players begin to pop grenaes in there.

A closer look at the exit.

It's a path from one of the trenches that leads to an area underneath the tower. It looks like a bong so I called it an underground bong.

A closer look to the area under the tower shows the incentive to get under. A megahealth powerup.

A scripted tower trap system that traps anyone trying to get the flamethrower weapon on the tower and floods them with grenades. They have one second to save their asses though.

This is the attic that players can get to when trapped. They must rocket jump to get there though.

A scripting system that makes the igloo destructible, and then recopies another one 20 seconds after it gets blown up. It telefrags anyone in its vicinity when it gets copied though.

Another gimmick, this time a health pill dispenser faked to look like a banana dispenser. {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif

On the side of drawing there is this and this. Descriptions are in the submissions themselves. {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif

I also just completed one of my musical works in progress. You can find it here.

That's all for now. {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Not much progress with my map but I began to add walls to the trenches.

Improved the look of the banana panel.

Oh and a little sketch I did, she came out exactly as I wanted.

The banana add does look a lot better with the boarder, you seem to be coming along very well in the modding process.
The sketch is sublime as always, can't really think of any tips or criticism for it I'm afraid though.

That just looks better and better each time I look at it. Can't wait to see the finished version!

Since Netvigator's internet service is kinda fucked over at the moment, I took the liberty of completing Kaotix's request pic while watching The Shining by Stanley Kubrick.

...tea towel indeed.

'Star Wars' is my story, just like my house is my house. So if I wanna paint my house green, even if everyone else thinks it should be red, guess what? I'm gonna paint it Jar Jar! - George Lucas

"The Devil Inside is the new scam from director William Something Something. The movie stars actors and was edited on a computer. Somewhere. This movie is the latest film in a series of very low budget films designed to look like real movies! And be released in theaters to make a quick buck via a horribly off kilter budget to profit ratio that the general public seem to be stupidly unaware of! These films use to be called 'direct to video' but now they are called 'first run features'. These films then vanish from the theaters, like a rapist leaving the scene of a crime." - Mike Stoklasa of RedLetterMedia

Nice one there Val *thumbs up*

What'd you think of "The Shining" btw? Not a big fan of it myself.

It was okay, some of the directing ideas in the movie are a bit abstract for my tastes though.

Concept artwork for TERRA.

It's as I said before Val, to say that pic is gorgeous is to damn it with faint praise.

Ciphers are also swords in the 'Strider' Series of games by capcom, they have the handle on the end like that. It's a long wedge style, and looks similar to that sword in the picture. theres a small, very small, but picture of one in the NES Strider logo here: http://www.geocities.com/timessquare/po ... enlogo.gif

I'm not saying yer copying or anything, I'm just wondering if this is a 'real' sword now, as opposed to a made up one.

Ahh Interesting. I have no idea they actually existed. What I did for her weapon is just a combination of the Indian punching sword called patas and tonfas.
