@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 11:25 AM)

Also I still have to figure out how to set up our e-mail accounts on the new host.

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 08:19 AM)

As soon as I figure out how to restore it. Sorry, I know I said it'd be done by now, but I didn't expect to have to put up with this DNS crap and other issues that popped up.

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

So when's the black theme coming back??

@  Uncle Ben : (24 July 2015 - 07:56 AM)

"Should"

@  furrykef : (24 July 2015 - 07:27 AM)

That DNS took longer to propagate properly than I thought it would. *Now* we should be back for good, though.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:48 PM)

Or it might be because Bluehost *finally* got around to that server wipe (one week after we'd asked for it) and that wiped out our DNS settings. I'm not sure which and I don't really care. In any case, we've severed our last ties with Bluehost, so this will not happen again.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 08:08 PM)

Looks like Bluehost yanked our DNS since our hosting account expired. That's why the site went down a while ago. But as you can see, it's fixed now.

@  Misk : (23 July 2015 - 04:55 PM)

No, they do not.

@  furrykef : (23 July 2015 - 04:27 AM)

The goggles do nothing?

@  Misk : (22 July 2015 - 05:50 PM)

My eyes.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 12:24 PM)

Looks like forum uploads might have been broken since last night. That should be fixed now too.

@  furrykef : (22 July 2015 - 01:33 AM)

Heh, whoops! Server went down for a few mins when I borked the config. Looks like it's back up now.

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 09:09 PM)

It looked like a napkin

@  ILOVEVHS : (21 July 2015 - 09:04 PM)

Fan-fuckin-tastic.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:25 PM)

As for the beaver picture while the forum was down, I think Tim drew it. On a napkin.

@  furrykef : (21 July 2015 - 08:24 PM)

No kiddin' about that "Finally!", Shadow. I am *so mad* at Bluehost for never responding to our support ticket. I submitted it early Friday morning and they *still* haven't answered it!

@  Uncle Ben : (21 July 2015 - 06:37 PM)

Maybe he did that himself

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:25 PM)

Say, who made the cute picture of Beaver Chief?

@  Shadow : (21 July 2015 - 05:24 PM)

Finally!

@  RedMenace : (21 July 2015 - 05:02 PM)

Woooo! The site's back up! Three cheers for Kef!

The PS4 is due in less than 24 hours and the wait is almost over. There's going to be a big event broadcasted on Spike tonight at 11/10c and Sony is going to unveil new details just minutes before the launch. Kojima is also going to unveil something big at the event(update: not that major except you can play a classic MGS snake in the playstation version in MGS V) and Microsoft will do something similar next week for the Xbox one launch.

Also you can download the day one patch now and install it via USB. After the WII U day one patch nightmare, I highly recommend downloading it now and avoid the large server loads tomorrow.

I'm picking mine up at 12:00 in the morning, or is it still night? I can't wait to get that bad boy plugged in. Although, I just hope that it can support the weight of my PS3; its rounded surface makes it impossible to stack on top of it and being that it's an early phat model it's quite heavy and might squish my new PS4.

I am PC elitest. All hail the master-race. http://www.nvidia.co...rds?m=gtx-780ti

In the end it's the better option, Steam is dirt cheap compared to Console sales and as the Tablet market sucks up the casuals, the PC becomes cheaper as it's demand gravitates more around the hardcore market. Plus if you haven't play Skyrim with out mods...you haven't played Skyrim.

The irony? I haven't played a Video game in months. I have been too busy dedicating my free time and money to rebuilding a church, finishing Eot, music, basketball, Shotokhan, art, and work. Honestly, I am loosing my like for video games, seeing them as money racket and waste of time I don't get back, I'd rather do something more profitable and productive than dream through a screen. I only play roleplay games nowadays  because it brings people together and gets their imagination stiring that and I sometimes perform Let's Plays to make people luagh. I like my play time to be as meaningful as my work,

As for the title...

I agree, I play on what ever I have. I'm very careful with what I buy now days; I have to know it's a game I'll like before I pull the trigger. Red Dead Redemption is an incredible game in all aspects that I had no qualms with buying and is easily one of the best in the last few years. However, the fact that I have PSN+ makes getting games a lot easier and is more cost effective; you get to try a lot of games out for free and some you even get to keep as long as you are a member.

Don't laugh at the first game I bought for my PS4: Lego Avengers! I love those games and it's one I can let my 7 year old play as well.

:) I'm not going to luagh. If it gets you guys some quality time, that's alright in my book. What I get upset about is the 20 somethings my age that should be enjoying their young adulthood, starting career, and finding some more adult companion ship. I see somemany guys living through WoW instead living their lives. :(

RDR has some intresting elements in it. Though I crossed my eyes at the train ride in the begining of the story as being a bit historically inaccurate and preachy.

I like PC because of the modding communities especailly. Also Minecraft. I think there just more freedom of creativity and unity there. I see kids obsessing over COD and frown...it's just the same game over and over again, and the challange and the social aspect of games is dying out to mindless ego-stroking over meaningless sucess. Who cares if you got a headshot with a pistol from a kabillion feat away? Did that cure someone's cancer? Did that make you a better person? Did anyone else really enjoy the time they spend with you, when you cussed them all out and pounded on your chest over a victory over pixels? Nope... I like games that bring people together and sparks their creatvity, or teaches them something through the story (I think RDR did that well). I want videogames to grow up.

Personally, I don't have the time even for RPGs unless they have an excellent story. I can't stand MMORPGs either; those things are life stealers. Heck, they even have a term that I discovered: "Poopsocking," which is when a Warcraft gamer doesn't even have the time to be bothered when nature calls and does his/her business in a sock.

I can't stand playing shooters either; it's all about killing over and over again with no story line. Now I used to like the Medal of Honour series when it was still under DreamWorks and you were playing as Jimmy Patterson, but like you said: it's all about the kills now.

Most of the time lately I get maybe six to ten hours gaming a week; my son on the other hand plays it a lot more than I do. That is until Gran Turismo 6 comes out... now that's more my speed.

Another game I really liked was Valkyria Chronicles, which is a strategy game, which is another that I like, and its story line was very good too. Speaking of strategy games I'm a sucker for a game of Worms, but my son and wife hate playing me; I slaughter their team. xD

I'm waiting 6 months for the PS4, a year for the X1

Some say that he knows 2 facts about ducks, and both of them are wrong. And that 61 years ago he accidentally introduced Her Majesty The Queen to a Greek racialist. All we know is, I'm going to the tower now to have my head cut off, and he is called The Stig.

Same here on the RPGs and stragem. I find WoW as horrifically boring as well, it's mechanics are dull. I've grown a fondness for Role-playing via board games or post-based on forums. But what I hate most is Sports games. :/  I play sports all the time (track, basketball, baseball, and I guess you cloister in Kami Busihdo). If I want to play sports, I go outside.

I have never heard of Valkyria, but I love Shogun Two and Empire at War.

The only shooters I really love are the first Halo and Perfect Dark, which a really exciting story and multiplayer.

There's an Animé to Valkyria Chronicles, and it's free for viewing on Crackle, but in my opinion it's not as good as the game; they screwed up Alicia by making her moé; she was actually a badass in the game. The game was a Ps3 exclusive, and it well-loved among the people who bought it, but it's not that popular.

That was but the tip of my iceberg when it come to my stance, Vhs, my position is more expansive than one of better graphics.

Here, have a taste of infinite possibilty: http://www.youtube.c...eature=g-high-u . Just pick some that suit your fancy, and see the variety and infinte replay-value that is PC.

Okay should of seen this coming from a mile away. After 24 hours my recaction is mixed, the system is working and everything it just that the network is not working like it should. You can play in online games with little to no lag but downloading ANYTHING takes forever. I haven't tried remote play because of the downloading issues mentioned above since it uses wifi and would pause the downloads of my digitial copies of BF4 and COD:Ghosts.

I am happy with the dualshock 4, Killzone is very playable now unlike the past games due to the dualshock 3. AC4 starts very quickly unlike the past games but graphics wise it looks very last gen(no duh). Resogun is a very fast and frenetic 2d shooter where your trying to save humans.......Wait wait...Did sony just copy Defender?!?! Well considering it's free with playstation plus, it's a very good defender clone.

I've looked on the ps4 livesteaming and because of the network issues the video quality is very bad, but I'm glad they are giving people a choice between twitch and ustream(or no steam as I call it). It gives players a chance to see a game in action before committing to a buy.

I hope the problems get sorted out over the next few weeks in time for the European launch , part of the fun of being the first region in the world to get it.
