As the title states, I found an article I thought I would share: Jeff's Musings: Sonic The Hedgehog and His Story. It's an interesting take on not just the games, but the cartoons, comics, and the state of the franchise.

While I agree it is interesting, I don't see anything new with this review.
I hear a lot of "SEGA Sonic needs to be more like SatAM," and "SEGA needs to improve it's plots, like SatAM."
Honestly I love Sonic SatAM, heck I wouldn't be here if I didn't, but that doesn't mean anything non-SatAM isn't good.
(Included is a rant about how narrow sighted we SatAM fans are, but that's only if you want to know my reasoning. If you don't care about that, fill free to skip over the Spoiler section to focus on this thread's topic)
Honestly yes, SatAM probably was the best thing to come from Sonic, but we shouldn't let it blind us from enjoying what else comes from the Sonic Franchise. Just because it is "not as good" doesn't mean it's "not good".

I dunno, he seemed to be quite balanced with his rundown; and stated that he liked AoStH and parts of Sonic X; he just thought like many, that the SatAM/Archieverse was superior. Like many of us, he is asking why Sega refuses to acknowledge SatAM in even ONE GAME in the last 18 years and you can't tell me that you like everything Sega has put out since SatAM; in mine, and many others' opinion with a few exceptions since the mid-late '90s Sega's game universe has more or less sucked. This is not just based on SatAM fans assessments of the games, but professional reviewers and buyers of the games as well.
While it's true that SatAM is not perfect, it's far better than anything Sega has given us in quite some time.

I think if SEGA gave SEGA of America more control then MAYBE we would have seen SatAM in the games sooner. If SEGA is at PAX East this year i'm gonna straight up ask them
