Have you guys read my Fan fics chapter 7, if so how do you like it
I have read it, but I was a bit lost, so I'm going back through the whole story.
Note he was just starting out, come the first chapter. Be gentle. And take note of the improvment.

You know, if the Fan Fiction Coalition is a serious project why don't we move it out of the Creative Corner Forum and into the FUS Group Projects? I don't know if that would be alright, but it might garner more attention and make our fanfictions better seen; that would be a good step. And also by definition this is a group project on FUS, is it not?
Red? Thoughts? We are indeed a group. We have a mission statement and everything...

Potentially yes.
I'll take it up with Chief and Co, though I can't imagine a reason to say no.

Well you got the red tag, I thought it best to run by you. I think this would be a focus point. I have been working hard on preparing various elements of the group. Perhaps if/when we get the greenlight, I'll have a lot to show for it.

Topic Moved.

Probably best we leave the Fan Fictions in the Creative Corner, though we COULD set up a link to each one in the first post.
Posted 24 November 2013 - 11:47 PM
Okay the first thing is everyone needs to gather a link to the hub or start of their story here. Then we can add that to the first post through the edit option.
We can add new stories as the thread goes on the same way, and we can keep track of updates by editing the post to show when an update last was.

Updating some things in the Original post. Thoughts?

Your work can be tagged or scrapped if it found to have the following:1. Works that are deemed Trangressive (glorifying/celebrating torture, toxic relationships, incest, rape, murder, eccettera). So SonAmy stories are automatically bannable? That's downright sneaky of you.TheRedStranger - "Lord Cerise/The Soothsayer of Aeons." Commander'n'Cheif of SFC.Have enough titles there?Predictions of group politics:
No. You can never have enough cool names. Just ask Wedge.
No. There are a lot of fan-fics out there that do show off some creepy and abusive relationships. I'm not being sneaky about this. I am being serious. Sad fact: most of them are written by young teenage girls, so much the correlation has been noted in the TV Tropes Fridge-Horror Section as a meta-example. ![]()
Sonamy is allowed. In fact I encourage people to try to see how that relationship could work. We are not going to support shipping that shows people getting somehow abused, and it then being painted off as good (think Bella using Edward and Jacob as boy-toys in Twilight) .
Keep being cheeky and you might earn the lofty title title Praetor Paulatim Scribere. ![]()
Ps. 10:17 - Lord Cerise formaly protests against dictator Calvin's policies against the female gender, stating: "Wait untill you're 13...we'll see if your convictions change. Until then, I'm philibustering."

Well Hedgie and Chipmunk have to be present at either side of the words and possibly Tails and 'Buttnik present as well. I could see him looming over the entire title perhaps.
DANG IT ROBOTNIK! GET BEHIND THE BANNER. You're crowdin' up the shot.

In all seriousness. These rules are not finalized and I want some mature opinions. The better we prepare for the future, the less we regret the actions that will become our past. This isn't a dictatorship. I want your insights.

Honestly the perfect awnser for all this is just discretion. Each sitituation has nuance in which these general rules are applied. That is why I made the rule about the "spirit of the law." Remember the absolute goods we want to get across in our mission statment, if something impieds our cuase we need to can it. If something cuases a ruckus it should be tagged. If it keeps on cuasing a ruckus, we should get serious. Also, I would simply reply "if you don't want your kid to see it then you've gone too far." I want this group to open to all ages, yet I want mature content to be avaiable with warning. Note I mean this in the since of mature content. I for one don't mind if you deal will themes like war and violence and relationships, what I don't like is when it's handled in a way that could be harmful/distrubing to the readership or violates our goals as a group. To avoid that I recommend self-censorship of material, and just a general sensitivity.
You are actually a great example of self-censorship and self-tagging. You don't want to offend people. Though one stogey individual might a rare beef with you (though I don't even seeing this happen) overall you are subdued and don't glorify violence in your work. Also, you warn people before hand that your stuff is moderatly-violent (to be honest your stuff isn't that graphic). There is really no line to draw, because your starting point is shaped by narrative and not outlined purely by the more negative aspects of the material. You write mature material to convey mature issues. You don't heap up mature issues to write immature material.
Well I want there to be oppurtunity to ammend ours rules if need be. Yet I think people should delegate together and if that rare moment comes, we bring it to a majority vote between the founding members via PM. If one unsung voice cries out constantly, he needs to be still. Or perhaps he could end breaking a certain rule himself.
